Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Help needed…Hello Team, So I am currently renovating our house. I have been a Sonos customer for a long time, through the good times and the bad. Now one option I am considering is sticking with Sonos and adding an Amp with six architectural in ceiling speakers for casual listening and parties (I love music all the time everywhere but am not an audiophile). The ceiling is vaulted and so the four speakers along the wall will be angled by the pitch towards the stairs/kitchen space. The two end speakers will be angled inwards also on opposing angles which all meets in the middle at about 4m height. Room is 11 x 4 metres roughly. Hard floors, hard ceilings, hard surfaces. Questions/Help asked:1. 6 or 8 inch? (will be a sub in the bench seat). I just wanted to post these issues I’m having with my Music Library which are driving me crazy.  I have hundreds of albums and I primarily use my Sonos system to play my own music rather that stream from one of the providers.  Here are my problems:Why is there no grid view of my albums? A grid view looks so much better that this list view.  Maybe you can ask Apple how they get the grid view in Apple Music if you are unsure of what needs to be done to achieve this. Still no alphabet at the side to allow me to jump to say, my Yahoo album.  It’s painstaking to scroll through an entire list to get to an album close to the end of the list. Compilation albums are appearing as individual songs in album view.  Many of my albums are compilation and this is unacceptable.  It’s rubbish, to be honest.Please, Sonos, address these matters so that I can start enjoying my music system again.

I have a rectangular-shaped finished basement rec room about 20-ft. wide by 60-ft. long. There are 4 ceiling-recessed, passive speakers wired into a Denon amp located at one end of the room, and TV on the other end. I want to integrate this into a Sonos "surround sound" system - I put surround system in quotes as I'm not clear that I need to create a true surround system, but basically, I want to watch TV and hear the sound on a soundbar at the TV and on the 4 passive speakers, and still be able to play other content. I assume this will require a Sonos Amp that I can do a 1-to-1 replacement with the Denon amp, and a Sonos Sound Bar (thinking about the Arc Premium). I further assume I need to run a long HDMI cable from the TV to the Sonos Amp at the opposite end of the room? Is it possible to set this up, and is there specific guidance available to tell me what I need to purchase, how to set it all up, and connect the components?  I have been trying, to no avail, to manage my SONOS One SL, through hard reset, factory reset, WiFi and WLAN connections. Incredibly frustrating. I get the following message: Sonos One SL has been added but may not appear in the system settings. In this case, unplug the power cable and plug it in to complete the setup via the system settings.This system message obviously doesn't help to resolve the issue. While the SONOS appears to go through the configuration and rest, it does not appear in the app. When I attempt to AirPlay, the speaker shows up as Unnamed Room. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the AirPlay connectivity results in the speaker only 1 in 9 or 10 times being available to stream to.  I can’t even access the speaker from the app to play directly from SONOS or local library as it doesn't even show up in the app as a connected and configured/manageable device. I have a Sony XR-65X90CJ, Playbar/5.1 setup, Xfinity X1 cable box with the XR15 V2 UQ remote. I am using the S2 app and system as of now.   I have set up the XR15 remote as the remote for the Sonos system, but it is not working correctly.  And now, in the S2 app, I can’t even find the place where I originally set up the remote (this link: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/control-sonos-home-theater-with-your-tv-remote - does not match what I see in my S2 app).   So 1) I can’t seem to disconnect the remote and try again.  2) FYI - I am connected via optical, set to PCM (which on this TV is always fixed).  I have the TV output set to max. The TV speaker are off and the output is set to home theater.When I lower or raise the volume on the TV using the Xfinity - the numbers on the TV go up and down - sometimes it changes

Hi guys,anyone know how to remove old Sonos products from the Sonos app ?I’ve factory reset the devices and they do not show on the pc software anymore only still vision the app. any ideas ?

I am trying to connect Soundcloud to my Sonos system. Once I have chosen to add Soundcloud and logged in, I get to an activation screen where I am asked to “Enter the code from the device you are trying to activate to sign in. This code will refresh after 5 minutes.”I do not see an activation code anywhere (doesn’t pop up on the phone, the Sonos app, or by email). Any ideas about how I can complete this process?

Hii I have a pair of 5 Gen 1 speakers which were fantastic and I still think of ways to do so. Could I take an analogue output from the Sonos Amp into the aux socket on the 5s (with the correct cable!) and use the amp to divert sound and control the volume controlled via the gen 2 app? It makes sense to me but I’m sure Sonos have a block for it. 

It’s not clear to me what the best way is to report bugs, and perhaps get them fixed.Many people have been complaining about the bug that was introduced over a month ago that makes it almost impossible to use sonos to play “albums” where track have different artist assignments.The new version 16.3.3 does not fix this.Is there anything we can that more productive than grumbling on this forum?(Not that this is a bug in the device firmware, not in the controller software).

As of this morning, the microphone on the Sonos Beam is not responding to input. The light is white, but doesn’t blink or dim when I say “Alexa” or “Hey Sonos”. I can switch the microphone on and off manually by touching the button. I’ve unplugged it, waited 30 seconds, and plugged it back in. The Sonos app on my iPhone shows everything is connected and working. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing Alexa on the Beam, but no joy. I installed Sonos voice control on one of the Era 100s, and that works as expected. Any assistance will be appreciated.

This is terrible when you buy a device that tells you that they sell “the best wireless sound ever built”. Fortunately, only one device must be wired, as its own network do the rest.I contacted Sonos assistance, and they guided me to factory reset, then I could start all my devices wirelessly without worries. Indeed, this is exactly what I don´t want to do

I used to be able to set the alarm to access the line in. I have a tuner component hooked up to my system, and it is normally more stable than streaming. Now, the alarm can only access Sonos chime or stream music.

Hey Smart People!I've just pre-ordered the ARC Ultra, which I'd like to use with two ERA300 in surround sound. My problem is that the video comes from a video-projector (Hisence C1) which is in the back, on the same wall as the ERA300s, 5 meters from the soundbar (and the screen) with no possibility of pulling an HDMI cable between the two.Is there a solution to make all this work in home-theatre mode? Ideally, I'd like to be able to enjoy Dolby Atmos, but at the very least, I'd like the surrounds to be active as surrounds, and not just speakers rocking the same stream as the ARC Ultra.

I have been a long time Sonos user I have 17 products. The new app is horrible and I am losing total functionality. I have so much invested, but I hate to go away. why does the new app sucks so bad? I mean it is unbelievable how different it was from the previous experience. It’s like they are trying to drive away customers

Recently, Sonos plays but intermittently, missing many tracks.  I use the app on a Windows 11 PC. I’ve checked that my subscription to the streaming serve (Deezer) is up to date.  I have 2 Sonos Play 1s.Is there anything I should do before uninstalling and reinstalling the software, a tedious and not always successful process.

Good day to all !I posted another topic when, once upon a time, my 2 Sonos Connect were not able anymore to access the local music library, hosted on a NAS. Many people told me about the SMB1 protocol when I specified from the beginning that I a using SMB2 only since more than 5 or 8 years now.Of course, both of them used to work very well before that. The known issue was coming from a Sonos update when they released their headset and I have seen that many, many people were very upset by that.One day, several weeks later, a new Sonos update made be re-abled to access to this library, but I had to delete, then recreate it.So, today, I have a room that works very well, the Sonos Connect plays all the music tracks I want… but not the other one.Both are on the same Wi-Fi router / network, but the one in the second room refuses to work and I get an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED message when I try to play something locally from either Phonos or Sonos Controller or

I have my Sonos Play:1 configured to play an alarm at 6:30 am every weekday. The alarm is set to shuffle a private playlist from Spotify. It worked fine for a few days, but now I can never get it to work, it always plays chime instead. I have no connection issues to the speaker when playing music normally.I have a diagnostics report from me just testing the alarm at 5:29 pm today. **********Moderator edit: diagnostics number recorded and removed

True play won’t set up with new Arc

I have the Arc SL, 2 One SLs, and a sub setup as my surround system. They have all worked flawlessly until today. The lights on the Ones and the Sub started blinking as if they lost power and now they no longer play sound. App shows them all as connected and running the current updates. I have removed and added them back to the network with no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Wondering, do Sonos swap my Sonos Arc to New Sonos Arc Ultra if  add extra money covering difference? or its only option to sell my one somewhere else, keeping in mind my one is in excellent condition inc. original package. 

I have 2 Move speakers and two Era 100’s. Both sets are used as stereo pair. Is that the best way to have them? Do I need a subwoofer to go with these 4 speakers?

I have Sonos now many years and all of a sudden, the Alarm clock does not work anymore.I plugged and unplugged everything like you can read this everywhere - no success.Tried to reset the WIFI but the answer is always: can not find a device. This is strange as I can turn on the radio without any problems and if I would not have WIFI, the radio would not play.What else can I try to get the ALARM working again?
