Activate full range in ERA 300 when playing music from known Sources?

So I often listen to music on my system when I am not watching TV - its sub optimal obviously.

The fact that the ERA 300’s are set as surround means that their main front firing Driver is disabled for music.

Would it not be a simple software fix to engage the front firing drivers if the user/owner has selected to listen to music from known music only sources - eg Sonos and Tidal etc.
