Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Even when using line-in, there is a noticeable audio delay. It prevents them being used with electronic drums, or for any sort of music production/gaming application. Is there a way around this? Are there plans on the Sonos side to improve this? I understand that Bluetooth will always have some level of delay, but line-in should be instant. Sony’s WH-1000XM headphones do not suffer this issue.

Almost every time I open the App I am prompted to sign in to my Sonos account just to see my “recently played” services. Does this happen to anyone else?

The Sonos app “upgrade” was truly bad, but I had hoped it would be getting better. The last couple of weeks is had gotten much worse. It keeps skipping songs, it cuts in and out and volume controls are basically non-existent. You can try and change it on the app, but nothing happens for minutes on end, and when it does, it is wrong. In summary, the Sonos app is pretty much the much frustrating app I have ever dealt with. If it wasn’t because I have invested north of $30K in Sonos products, I would have permanently deleted the app. I saw the letter from the CEO who somehow allowed this to happen. Supposedly it is getting better. It is not what I am seeing. Quite the contrary. I am at a point where I truly HATE Sonos with all my heart!  

My whole family uses iPhones and can connect perfectly to Sonos, just my son not.what is different to my setup: he has an iPhone 15, I have an iPhone 14same isiOS 17.5.1 All WiFi Settings Sonos App Version 80.06.03 Sonos Loginwe both deinstall the Sonos app or reset the app. We both connect with an existing system. Both apps search in the same WiFi. Just my phone finds it, the other cannot find a system. We can reproduce this behavior and can do it even at the same time. Always same behavior.

Ive recently moved to college with a Sonos Play 1 speaker. It uses Eduroam so I don't think I can use that wifi channel, but it has a specific IoT wifi router for devices such as Alexa. Could I use this wifi channel, even though I have to have a specific wifi username and password that I obviously cannot put into my speaker as it has no buttons to do so. Any attempt at using the Sonos S1 app has marked it as incompatible.thank you\

There is so much saber rattling about how bad, awful or whatever derogatory word you may choose to use describing the past/current state of the Sonos app. Granted the release of the app in May, 2024 was an unfinished product that caused pain and frustration for many customers.Those complaints called for lawsuits and the firing of Patrick Spence and other decision makers who played a part in the botched release. Many customers have vowed to sell their Sonos and move on to another brand as a result. However, you should know that Sonos is not unique in the misstep to release the current app. Other companies have been found lacking in their due diligence to deliver a quality software, OS and/or controller as is the case with Sonos. I’m not going to drag this out by trying to quell your frustrations with Sonos as that will come over time and at different intervals for each individual. I have managed to reinstall my Music Library held on a Toshiba Hard Drive so SONOS is now picking it up.However, in most cases, up to 20 copies of each album are showing on the SONOS S2 app. some copies with either no tracks listed, or some copies with a few tracks from the album , and a few different tracks on another copy!Clearly I have done something wrong!Any advice on how to correct this situation would be helpful!Kind Regards,     

When a few products are grouped all is fine all is well then a product cuts out but shows it’s playing. I remove it from the group and play and it’s ok but when regrouped no sound can be played. It’s quite frustrating and I’m really considering selling the sonos and getting another system. Too many issues. 

I have a sonos arc and other sonos speakers.Sonos arc speaker is the only one that cannot connect to my system.I have a starlink connection and i have try it to other isp connection and its working sonos arcbut to starlink connection it doesn't work.Any suggestions?

Hi, I bought 2 Era 100 a couple of months ago, and they have been cutting in and out often when in a stero pair. The primary speaker is always good, but the secondary cuts in and out frequently. Please help!  They’re connected to a 5GHZ WIFI.  

I have factory Reset all my Sonos Equipment. Recently was gifted a system from a friend who did not know how to reset everything. I have connected the Sub to the system, but the system will not recognize the Soundbar, play:1 x2 or play:5 even if I connect them with Ethernet cable 

So we have this 4 speaker setup that was working just fine and all of a sudden it stopped working. Not knowing why I just proceeded to reset everything but for every speaker the result was the same setting it up over WiFi.I can see the speaker and it also connects to the WiFi (takes long thought) and then it says it’s all done but might not show up in the list. If it doesn’t I’m supposed to unplug it and plug it back in. That is exactly what happens so when I don’t see it in my list I proceed to unplug it. Then I try to add the speaker again but this time it’s not in a reset mode. It finds the speaker just fine and tries to connect and fails. Every speaker does this and this happens every time. What is going on here?The speakers in question are 3x Play:1 and one play:5 When I connect it on ethernet i can actually set it up and even gives me the option to select the location for it. I have a Samsung TV. Audio set to Dolby Atmos. Shows EArc. I have Now TV uktra boost, which supports Dolby atmos. I play a show through there and the arc shows Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0. Is this atmos?

I am having problems with my Sonos one speakers having a delay from the sound coming from the soundbar.

Suddenly the Android app just spinns and says "something went wrong". When i play from my Mac through AirPlay, everything is ok. I have restarted router, re-installed app and i see my speakers in the app, but it just spinns.  Thanks for help and advice. 

I know there has been some problems - to put it mildly - but in October 2024 is anyone else STILL getting regular drop out when playing music? I get regular moments of silence in the middle of songs and it’s REALLY frustrating that it hasn’t been sorted yet. Ive got Sonos Ones (x6) - don’t think it matters but some are One SLs I’m on app version 80.09.08 Software is on automatic updates and all speakers are up to date.  Any help would be appreciated.

This issue had been going on for several years now, and happens in two different houses with different network systems (although the networks have the same name and password for convenience).Both systems are made of several play 1s and several One SL, one also has an old playbase grouped with two play 1s. Some units are in pairs, some are standalone. In each house the system has at least one speaker connected via Ethernet, I kept wifi activated on the speakers. Both wifi are mesh systems with several repeaters (google mesh in one, different brand in the other).Whenever I try to adjust the volume or change songs with the Sonos app (android or iOS, latest version at the time of writing), it works instantly when controlling One SLs but takes 10+ seconds to react with the Play 1s, making them unusable. The same issue happens when they're directly playing from the Spotify app. If I use voice command via a Google home unit, the Play 1s react immediately, which tells me there's nothing wrong

Sonos had been doing well with a Connect:AMP unit, but then started to drop out. I unplugged the AMP and plugged it back in, and now it is off the network. The Android app I have is 80.09.04-release+20240917.6a71457I have a pair of left and right Play:1’s and they work fine. I have a Roam SL and it works fine. The Connect:AMP shows up in it, but every time a try to play something, I get “Something went wrong.”  So what went wrong? How can I find out?  

SENT TO CEO@SONOS.COM  I have never been a litigious person in my life but I think I would join in a class action suit against Sonos for What you have done to your users with this new app.  You have breached your agreement and trust with customers Rendering in many cases, thousands of dollars of expensive equipment virtually useless.  Why in Gods name did you make a major change to an app that has caused such confusion and operational problems.   First you introduced it no option of retaining the older app which worked just fine.  Then you admitted terrible operational errors that needed multiple fixes and to this day doesnt work well.  My music services cut out unexpectedly without recovering. Some of my speakers need multiple restarts to connect. There are substantial connection delays.  I have changed channels.  rebooted systems multiple times. Dear Sonos team,i placed the Sub Gen 3 in the corner between the wall and the TV cabinet. The distance between the TV stand and the wall is 43.5 cm. In practice, the Sub is positioned in the center of that distance. Is the position correct? Or is it better to always keep it in that space but a little more towards the outside? So that the two acoustic ports of the sub have a little more "breath".However i am very happy with how the sub works, the bass is spectacular.Good job

So with the new app, i lost my whole system. I managed to add everything again except for the Sub. The app recognizes it on the network but crashes after 2 seconds when trying to add it, already factory resetted it. What to do?
