Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I received my new Arc Ultra today and I was looking forward to switching from Arc to Arc Ultra. But after one hour of fruitless attempts I gave up. Yes, I have a brand new Ultra sitting in its package in my living room and for the life of me I couldn’t get it to work with my setup (Sub3, 2 x Era 300 surround speakers). The current system works flawlessly, is connected to my wifi and works fine. The moment I try to hook up the Ultra I’m unable to get it to work with my current wifi. The network pops up sometimes, most of the times none of my wifi connections can be seen. Consequently, the Ultra winks out and the usual suggestions for repairing the wifi pop up. Since my wifi works flawlessly with my Arc I see the problem more on the side of the Ultra. After having gone through the same hassles with the Ace and the ongoing problems with the app, I was hoping that the installation this time round should be a straightforward five minute job. I have a arc/sub and 2x play 1s.when I record programmes or watch something that can watch from the start-if I pause or fast forward sound is lost. If I turn the tv off and on quickly-sound is back…any ideas on what I would need to change?it’s a Sony a8 tvlatest virgin box. All good cables and no play stations etc attachedthanks!

Hello, I sold my Sonos Gen1 to buy the Gen2. I have two PlayOne surround. Since I made the generation change, I no longer see my two PlayOne. No more way to configure them. Is it normal or do you force me to have to buy two Era 100? Too bad, until now I was very happy with Sonos. I also have a One with a microphone. As much as I look at the Bluesound side as I have a Node... 

One of the things that I’ve grown to love over recent years is the way I can discover and listen to podcasts. I use 2 main podcast aggregators to listen to podcasts - Firstly Pocket Casts and secondly BBC Sounds since some podcasts I cannot find on Pocket Casts (I’d rather only use 1 app for this). So one of the great things about the Sonos podcast integration was the ease of seeing which was the next unplayed (or partially played) episode and play the next one or complete an unfinished episode. Unfortunately this has been broken since the major app update. As you can see from the two screenshots below. The first shows a podcast and it’s episodes - The May 24 one has been played and the next has not - but you cannot tell. On the BBC Sounds screenshot the second episode bookmarked has been played but again you cannot tell.Also I find if I manually check via the Pocket Casts app the next unplayed episode and then play it by finding it in the Sonos API for Pocket Casts it plays that episo

Other than turn off the surround speakers, how to stop surround speakers from fluttering when playing music from the phone app with ARC Ultra and Era 300 Surround speakers? I know this question has been ask before, but I have not found a good solution.

My Arc is connected to a Philips TV and has been working flawlessly until about a week ago. Since then, there is no sound when i turn on the TV (no settings changed on the TV). I have to disconnect the HDMI cable and then plug it back in to get sound. Anyone has an idea what could be wrong? Was there a recent firmware update? 

I bought a Sonos era 300 from UK on May 2023. I am using the speaker in India which has suddenly run into an issue. Can I get the product replaced in India if it’s still under warranty?

Hi there, I recently got the Beam gen 2 and like it very much. I have an older TV, so it connects via the optical line in. Works well and sounds good.I’m trying to figure out if there’s any way I can use my Bose 321 subwoofer with the Beam (see image of Bose AV cable). Thank you! 

Hi, I read around a month ago that inverting the era 300 was not fully supported in the software yet, was looking for some info on this topic, is it fully supported yet? If not when is it likely? and also can anyone explain what not fully supported actually means.

why is it i am unable to connect my devices i have 14 iproducts all app upto date no change in wifi ive rebooted wifi hard reboot all devices managed to get move connected then beam then went back on the app and another devive appeared tgat had been off for 2 days then nothing in yhe app very weird 

I can't get my Telus remote programmed to control the volume or mute on my soundbar. The tech tried a few programming codes with no luck. is anyone aware of more codes to try. 885 didn't  work. Thanks 

I still have very erratic control over the pause and volume of the Sonos system via the apps.  Bizarrely, some guy in Romania made a product called SonoPhone which reliably plays/pauses the system. I bought it, but I can’t believe that this functionality still doesn’t work.  I have just reserved IPs for all my Sonos devices on my Eero network. Are there other steps I can take to work around this bug in the Sonos-provided app?

 Found the IOS update 80.11.51 in the App Store.  After the update got the message No Products Found.  Went through the process of reconnecting each product to the network.  Got the Arc, Sub3, Port & Moves connected.  None of them show in the app.  Why is this the case?  The ISP app shows them to be connected.I could not get either 300 to connect.  The light flashes green & white, but no chime is played and after pressing the two buttons the connection attempt just goes around in circles before announcing failure. Deleted the app.  After reinstalling it and choosing Join Existing System it reported No System Found.  Not thrilled about having to start over.

I’ve been having an issue with my Sonos system where the audio isn't syncing properly across multiple rooms. I’ve tried restarting the system, resetting the Wi-Fi, and ensuring everything is updated, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and what solutions did you find? Any tips on improving the synchronization between speakers would be greatly appreciated!

Hi i have 1 sub mini and 2 era100 and an iphone11 all connected to a fiber modem wifi5 . I reset all then i re connect again but ,  i use music app on iphone , every 10-15 min. no sounds . To start sound again sometimes i push play on music app, but sometimes doesn't work , so I'm forced to use sonos app i have to reconnect all the 3 speakers. Very very annoing...Any solutions? Thanks in advance

I cannot find the option to connect to my NAS using the Sonos app 

I have an existing NAS configuration, where the share is //NAS/Music Library/   with a space.If I try and add this to my Sonos SL using the app it just errors and tells me to check the username and password. (which I know are correct).Now the example on screen tells me not to use the trailing slash character, but if I don’t use that then the Add button stays greyed out.    I cannot believe in 2024, that I cannot use a sharename with a space, so can someone please advise how I should enter the location (I have tried quotes etc)Thanks in advance

Hi,this is maybe a little bit strange, but I will explaine the situation:there are serveral SONOS speakers in a bar/pub/restaurant.In germany, you are not allowed to play the music as loud as you want and can… so I recognized the “limit volume” funktion at the system control.This is a great function to limit the max volume in a bar/pub/…   BUT:Everyone can change this limit.However, in order to comply with official regulations, this function would have to be blocked so that only a technician or the owner can change the settings. A waiter, for example, would not be able to do this.The function could possibly be restricted to a confirmation email and a link that the account holder has to click on, just like resetting a password.So: if the setting is changed, an email is sent, if it is confirmed, the change becomes active, if not, it is reset.

Hi! I am an Italian living abroad and all of a sudden I can’t listen to Radio Rai anymore through the sonos app. I can still find Rai stations in Sonos radio and TuneIn, but I only get the “Welcome to TuneIn” refrain.Anybody can help?thanksLara

Hi, I didn't use my sonos for a while. Now I decide to use it again. It takes a while to find all components again and connect them to wifi. After it was done app say - i need to install update. As soon as I try it, it says- looking for updates, then - "something went wrong" and no other options. Do you have solution for this issue?I restart all sonos staff, restart router, restart phone, restart tablet. Didn't help.

Hi i have enjoyed to be able to use essential control functions ( multimedia controller) on my Google Pixel watch 2 to control Sonos. But since the rollout of the big new Sonos update, it's no longer possible to use this function. The multimedia controller on the watch still works with all other player apps installed on my phone. But for some reason just not any more when using Sonos! I really miss this option. Is there a solution/update that will fix this issue.
