Hey,

I just added 2 Era 300 speakers to my Soundbar Arc and Sub Gen 3. I connected them to WiFi and set them up as surround sound speakers for the entire system. The problem is that when I play music, a movie (anything), the speakers intermittently cut out. They play sound in a pulsating manner. The router is in the same room and the WiFi signal is very strong. Do you know what could be causing this?

The WiFi on the Arc needs to be ON.

The signal for the 300s comes from the Arc.  It is a 5Ghz signal.  How close is the router to the Arc?  Is the Arc and 300s out in the open?  How far are the 300s from the Arc?  Is the Arc wired or wireless?  If the Arc is wired is the Arc WiFi radio on?

Each of the speakers is about 3.5 meters away from the Arc. The 2 Era 300 speakers are placed on cabinets behind the couch. So, nothing except the couch is in the way of the Arc. The Arc is connected via Ethernet cable. The WiFi on the Arc is turned off. The Arc is about 1.5-2 meters away from the router.

Everything is working, thank you :) Does that mean I no longer need the cable?

Probably you could remove the cable.  You’re so close to the router which means your signal will be pretty strong.  Just make sure the router is not too close to any speaker.

Just a note for future readers:

The disable WiFi doesn’t disable WiFi, it turns the whole radio off also disabling other things that it is needed for.

Jesus… I thought connecting the ARC wired (and disable the wireless) would stabilise the system. Turns out this caused an evening full of annoyances. Thanks for the tip though; with Wifi back enabled everything seems to work just fine.
