Hi,

For no apparent reason my Spotify connect has stopped playing on Sonos. When I choose to play a song in Spotify on Sonos, Spotify app tries to make a connection and silently fails.

 

However, if I group speakers in Sonos, I can see the groups in Spotify i.e. some data is transferred successfully.

I have tried connecting from Spotify Mac app and Ios app with same results. 

I have rebooted all Sonos devices, routers and reinstalled Ios Spotify app.

Given that you’ve already done most of the things I’d recommend, and even though it may not be a Sonos problem, but an issue with Spotify Connect, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. But don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

 


Unfortunately same issue as so many people and no easy solutions.
