Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi Very similar to this thread:  If I use the iPhone app, search for “Easy Hits” and filter by Apple Music, I see a playlist called Easy Hits. The icon is a tea cup. All well and good.If I go to music.apple.com, search for “Easy Hits”, I see a playlist called Easy Hits. The icon is a tea cup. All well and good.If I use play.sonos.com and search for “Easy Hits” I see two folder icons, “Recently Added” and “Apple Music Playlists”. BOTH ARE EMPTY.If I use the legacy Windows app, I also get no results. EMPTY.So a total lack of consistency across the Sonos platform.I have “reauthorised”.  

I am looking into buying the Era 300 to put on my book shelf and in the past I received complaints about the bass vibrating to much for neighbors.I was wondering if I can flip it upside down and use the mounting holes on the bottom to hang the speaker from the bottom of the shelf using a cord to avoid the vibration on the counter.Will it sound the same if I flip it upside down? 

After todays iOS update suddenly one of my SONOS Play 1 are unable to update.  I tried multiple times, same error. Disconnecting my entire SONOS system and resetting my home network, that didn’t help.  tried to downgrade the speaker to S1, but also here an error occurred.  Troels hardwiring it to the router, same issue.  Any good advice? I’m starting to think there is something wrong with the speaker, but I’m 99% sure it worked this morning before I updated the App. I know for a fact it worked last night. 

Hi, the Era 300s are coming soon and I think I'll connect them as Surround to my Beam 2 and the Sub mini. Only now I have the Era 100s as surround and I'd like to keep them in Stereo. I realized that I have to remove them and then pair them in stereo. And I think I also have to see as if they were in another room otherwise the Era 300s won't go into atmos. How do I do it all? Hello, Our power went out two days ago, and I’m not sure if it’s related, but I noticed yesterday that all of our previously created alarms were deleted from the Sonos app. I set a new one last night and it didn’t go off today. Looking in the Sonos app the alarm has been deleted.

I connected by Bluetooth Ace to our Sony smart TV.  Excellent sound no lip sync problem.  To get to iPad I shut Ace off, turn iPad blue tooth on and Ace back on to listen to music.  How can I get back to listen TV without going into TV settings?

I have spent £thousands on Sonos equipment in my house over the years. I was virtually an ambassador for the brand. The last year, however, has been a total disaster since the new App was released and I have finally given up.After months of effort and re-setting I have devastatingly accepted that my surround sound speaker system can only be used by, and for, tv. It can’t be controlled at all via the Sonos App and neither will it play any music via my Spotify account via the Sonos App. My other non-tv speakers ((just under £1k worth) in separate rooms have effectively been rendered useless as I can’t play any music on them. My Roam and Move only work if I change to Bluetooth so as to bypass the Sonos App in its entirety.Nothing short of a disgrace and a scandal. No proper communication and no prospect or timeline for full rectification. I’m amazed that major stores are still selling Sonos and I’ve told all my friends to avoid it like the plague. I have the latest 16.4.4 versions on the Sonos components,the latest Android App , the latest IOS app  and the latest Windows App installed. Are you aware the compilation album fragmentation issue is still present on all of these and are Sonos working on it?  I am confused as some posts claim the issue is fixed yet many others state that the problem still exists. I’d like some clarity on whether Sonos acknowledge the issue and are working on it     

When streaming movies my playbar audio stutters badly. Turning off/on the power fixes the problem until I pause or change movies.  connected to a Samsung TV through a sourcebox.  no problems with xbox, Nintendo or music.  also no problems on same network connected to my lg tv. 

Hello, First time posting and most recently first time Sonos buyer. I purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and I am in love with it. Only ever used TV speakers before so this was a very welcomed change.  I have a 30% of coupon that I can use from my neighbor and I am wanting to get a sub 4 or Era 300. I think the era 300 will do me best as the sub in the arc ultra is good enough for now lol in my house. Only problem is that I can't put the speakers behind my couch only to the side of me about 1’ away from the views heads. Is it worth it or just get the sub 4 and forgo the surround for now.  Also I would love to do Best Buy pick up because I am impatient :) but I do not see that option anywhere. not even greyed out. I am in San Diego and they all have what I am looking for in stock. Thanks

I have ITunes on a Windows PC. The iTunes Music folder has been happily linked to Sonos for years without a problem. I then decided I wanted to use OneDrive to back up my documents and music. Got that working but then I found that my Music Library content had disappeared from Sonos. On checking, I saw that Windows had changed the directory path on the PC from \User\music to \user\onedrive\music. I changed the share permissions on the \user\onedrive folder so that is shared with ‘Sonos Music WiFi System’ and was able to add the ‘new’ music library settings back into Sonos. However when I ‘Update Music Library’ it shows ‘indexing’ for just a few seconds but does not update any content. Any ideas?

Hi there, Just got the Arc Ultra + Sub 4. Using it on a Samsung 85 QLED Qn85d. Plugged into the HDMI eARC. But it's saying Dolby PCM 5.1 instead of Dolby Atmos. Tried it on many movies. Sounds great still but why isnt it in dolby atmos? Is it my settings? 

I’m a college student living in a one-room dorm right now. I had one Sonos Play 1 and decided to get two more Sonos Play 1s because I was trying to get my room much louder for having people over. When I added the two more Play 1s into my system, it did not get much louder. I will admit that the surround sound is incredible but that’s not what I was going for. What can I do to increase the loudness and bass? I was thinking of buying two Sonos Play 5s along with an old sub. I don’t know the best way to get a loud party setup though. 

Has any one seen a rapid loss of charge while the speaker is left on the wireless charger but not turned off. My experience is that the speaker battery will go to zero in under 3 hours  is the wireless charger essentially drawing power? 

I inherited a SONOS sound system when I bought my house. All was working until I swapped Internet Provider. I downloaded the latest Sonos app from Apple Store but cannot connect multiple speakers wirelessly. Would my Play 1 model speakers be incompatible with the app? I have been able to connect one speaker via an ethernet cable,

Before I break something, I want to know if this will work as intended.  I have two zones, one Port for each.I have an older but great sounding 5x 200w Outlaw amp I want to use.  2 channels for zone 1, and 2 channels for zone 2.  The 5th channel won’t be used.The Outlaw amp, like pretty much all home theater amps only has one 12v trigger input.Can I combine the two Sonos Ports with a Y cable to power the Outlaw amp?  That means that if I use both zones at the same time, the amp will be getting two 12v inputs at the same time. thanks,~Jay

Hey all … if I add a second sub to my current HT setup (Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, and (2) One SL’s as my surrounds) will the Sonos app detect the new sub and ask to “add” it to my existing HT setup?  Is it clean-and-easy?  Also, will I need to TruPlay my new system once that 2nd Sub has been added?  Thanks!

I've recently moved house and have a new broadband service.I cannot group the arc, sub and era 300's into 1 Living Room group. When I try to connect a speaker it creates new living rooms?? The sub also drops connection.The app is S2? Got the Arc connected to the tv with an HDMI in the arc2 port on the tv.I've factory reset all speakers (more than once😒) and deleted the app but nothing seems to work to get the speakers all working together. Dave

Hey everyone, I dont even know where to start so I’m just going to list the problem(s) I have, my network and system topology, any troubleshooting steps I’ve taken, and I’m hopeful someone can help. Or tell me it’s not just me. The problem + initial info:Specifically home theater setups (Family room: Arc+Play:1s+Sub (Gen1)) and Basement TV: Beam+Play:1s+SubMini) will show in the iOS app but will not be controllable. Expanding a bit: I cannot play music, change settings, enable night or speech enhancement modes, change volume, group, or otherwise do anything with the ‘room’ in the iOS app. The device is usually missing from the desktop macOS app. The speaker is fully controllable via Spotify, AirPlay2, the Sonos Web App, Home Assistant Sonos integration, and connected voice assistants. Sometimes the Desktop App will see the speaker

In late 2023 both of my Roam speakers died and would not charge whether through wired or wireless Sonos chargers. When I contacted Sonos, one of the speakers was eligible for full replacement as it was still in warranty and the other was eligible for a discount to purchase a new Roam. According to the instructions from Sonos, I was given a UPS return label and packaged them up. I was told I would receive a new speaker in the mail for the fully warrantied one, and a code via email to purchase the other (since it was only partially covered.I received no responses of any kind and attempts to contact Sonos have resulted in being passed between “the warranty department” and “the marketing department” for unknown reasons. If Sonos reads this can you help please???

What does this do? I m afraid to do anything because the system gets screwed up every time i try to do something new. 

Hello, dear community. Can I have two PLAY:3 serve as a front (and only) speakers for AMP? So I can stream music by AirPlay to PLAY:3 via AMP or connect turntable to AMP and PLAY:3 will be the only speakers to play the sound?In SONOS app I can see that I only can add sonos speakers as a surround, not front. Thanks.
