Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m having really annoying issues with sound cutting out on my two Symfonisk bookshelf speakers paired with an Arc. It happens pretty frequently during songs or music. Sound will cut out for about half a second from either left or right symfonisk surround speaker. It can happen several times in a minute or not at all. My set up is an Orbi 770 router with a single satellite.The Arc is hooked up to the router via Ethernet through a Netgear switch.There is also a sub mini wirelessly joined up to the Arc.searched various threads and the suggestions all seem to involve adjusting the WiFi settings to avoid interference. All the devices near the Arc are connected to the router via Ethernet.I’ve tried setting the router to channel 6 for 2.4ghz WiFi. And I’ve changed the Sonosnet channel to 11.I’ve tried power cycling the Sonos devices. 

I have an existing system with an ARC, Sub 3, and two SL One as surround sound used as theater listening and linked to a TV all of which are in my family room. These are on my sonos app showing under family room. I just got a ERA-300 which I intend to put in my office in home room. This will be the first item in this new office in home room. In adding this new speaker to the SONOS app, there appear to be two options, Get started with setup which is “white box” or “Join existing sytem “a non white box” to click on.  Which one do I check?

I have the same problem. I see it has been reported before more than two years ago and some other times all of a sudden the Sonos roam starts making a loud sizzling banging noise almost like an alarm going off. only way to stop it is to open the Sonos app??? What is it? And how can I prevent this from happening?

I have a beam gen2 and I recently bought an era 300. When I play TV audio the era 300 does some interruptions. When I play Spotify and other audio from the application it's fine. Do you have any idea what's the problem?

Youtube Music (uploads) searching is still broken… I’m unable to search my Uploads in Youtube music in the new app (works fine in the old app for my older Sonos device Play 5 that use the old app) Also if I browse my Uploads library instead i can only scroll so far then it just loops back over what i’ve already browsed. This makes finding or searching for that music in my Youtube Music Uploads library useless, and pretty much unusable to stream.

Are other able to use their playlist while at my house

My system was working well but recently only one of four architectural speakers connected to an AMP has sound? I have interchanged the wire connection and only the same speaker has sound.

I recently split my sonos system in two, one operating with the S1 controller and the second with the S2 controller. I continue to access my music collection on a NAS (Seagate Central) with the S1 controller, however with the S2 controller I am unable to connect to the NAS. The NAS is DNLA-enabled. I tried to connect using the same path that worked with the S1 controller. I also tried using the NAS drive’s IP address. Nada.I’ve seen some chats mention the ability of S2 to use more advanced SMB version 2, but I cannot see what version SMB the NAS uses, nor can I change it.I’m able to connect the new S2 system to Sonos radio, so it is otherwise working.Any suggestions for solutions or workarounds would be gratefully received!!I didn’t update my system to the new controller when it came out because I didn’t want the hassle that I knew would await me. I’m going insane I have an Arc, Sub and two Fives for surround3 Ports1 standalone FiveArc always works fine (Apple TV and never use the app on it).  when I want to play music any where else Arc wants to be a Master or something. Arc will always play music even though I rarely want it to with the app.  If I add or switch to another speaker it reverts back.  It’s a constant cat and mouse game to get what I want playing. Often involving unplugging the entire HT setup. Now even that is not working and showing up.  I think I have to reboot everything with HT unplugged to get the other speakers to play.  I just went through and made sure everything was on the same WiFi. I have 2.4ghz and 5.0 as separate SSID. I made sure everything including phone was on 2.4ghz.  What the F am I doing wrong.  Starting to regret investing in Sonos.  This is all bought in the last year or so.  

Hi.  I have a new Onkyo receiver and a new Port.  I have the digital coax output from the Port to the input of the receiver, as instructed in the setup.  I have an RCA output from the Line 2/B of the receiver to the Line In of the Port.  I have the Port grouped with two OneSL speakers.  I can see that the sound is going from receiver to the Port and the other two speakers; however, there is no sound output from these speakers.  What am I doing wrong? I have done the global software update to all of my Sonos products. 

When I first set up my Sonos 2 Do I have to be on my own home WI? Fi? To set it up. I am having trouble getting it to link and play music.

Every time I try to use this junk app I have to reset my speakers create a new system. Then it never finds them until I do it 5-6 times. Just when I think it’s working it randomly says can’t find system. But every other app I use to stream to them have zero problems finding. I can literally be listening to the speakers via any other app and the Sonos app just says can’t find speakers try again. Whoever is In charge of your app division needs to be fired. Why do I have to have an Internet connection just to use these speakers. These speakers are expensive and it’s not a huge ask to have an app that works. Sonos is quickly becoming a joke of a speaker system and a company as a whole. 

Hello - I am trying to control a group volume from one amp. My setup is below:I have 4x Sonance 8” ceiling speakers wired in to an Amp (Amp A) in a media rack upstairs. I have this Amp, the ceiling speakers and Sonos Sub 4 in a room called “Kitchen”.I have a Sonos Move in a room called “Portable”.I have Pro-Ject Turnrable connected to a second Amp (Amp B) in a room called “Media Wall”.I have these three rooms grouped into a group called “Home”.Everything is working well and volume control as a group works well from the app.I would like to be able to control the volume of the group “Home” with the touch controls on Amp B. Is this possible?  Thanks!

as the title indicates I have recently purchased and acquired. The ultimate Immersive Arc Ultra Set, which includes the arc ultra, a pair of ERA 300s and one Gen 4 sub… because I wanted a more thorough home theater experience. I went ahead and purchased an additional GEN4 sub, as well as a pair of ERA 100s.  -firstly I was very disappointed in being unable to add the ERA 100 into the one home theater setup… I was only able to add the GEN 4 sub… I had to add the ERA 100s, As a separate group, which was then merged. Now they all work together when I watch TV. And although every couple of times I turn something on, sound will only come out of one of them, But that’s a different concern… My concern here is how can I Control the volume for my television with my Roku remote, such that raising or lowering the volume, does it to both the theater set up as well as the merged ERA 100s? — right now the only way to raise or lower the volume of both is in the Sonos app, Which is extremely frustrati

What the hell is going on with the playlist edit???is this feature coming back or what??? Why can’t I still create a playlist or edit the one I’ve been creating for the last 5 years???and what possible explanation is there for getting rid of such an integral feature??? I actually want an answer for this it’s bizarre 

Can’t get my Sonos app / Ultra Arc to see my Sonos wireless headphones (WH1000XM5). Looking for advice.

Can someone please recommend a third party universal remote that will work with the ray soundbar. I've tried all the tricks and tips suggested but still can't get my Samsung remote to pair.

My two rear Sonos one SL surround speakers are connected but have no audio. The pause button works and will pause the ARC soundbar but still no audio from the surrounds. I have tried EVERYTHING please help. TV and cable box both set to Dolby Digital and TV surrounds are turned all the way up in sonos app and still no audio from surrounds.

I have a AMP with 2 speakers attached. The overall sound is not good for me as the equalizer is too poor. To have an acceptable sound i push the 2 levels at max … For such an expensive device it is a bit disapointing.To overcome this issue I would like to have an active equalizer between source and the Sonos AMP.I have found 2 options and your feedback would be greatly appreciated before shopping:Option 1 (expensive): i buy a Sonos Port and a EQ901 Equalizer from Deer Creek Audio. Setup would be:Sonos Port out → EQ901 → in Sonos AMP → speakers. I would manage music from the Port and the active equalizer from EQ901.Option 2: I buy an Bluesound Node Nano and the setup would be:Bluesound Node Nano → in Sonos AMP → speakers. I would manage music from my iphone via Airplay 2 (AM in lossless most of my usage way) and use the equalizer from the Bluesound.Makes sense ? Thank you in advance. 

I got a new Sonos Roam 2 and it told me that I need to upgrade to the S2 Controller.  It noted that I had an Amp that was not compatible and guided me to remove it from my system - which I did.  Now when I go to my S2 controller, it says that the System is only Compatible with the S1 Controller, but when I go to the S1 Controller System>System Tools it shows “System Compatibility” greyed out and it just guides me to upgrade to the S2 controller.  I am not fully going in circles. help!  

Can I play Ace and Arc simultaneously? If not, why not?

Is there a way to adjust what the microphone will pick up? It’s almost impossible to answer a phone call on the Sonos Ace headphones if there is any background noise at all. The person on the other end can hardly hear you talk but can hear everything around you. A caller the other day could even hear my husbands flip flops while walking. Never had this issue with my Apple headphones so hoping it’s just a setting issue. 

I have a brand new in box One speaker that I purchased about 6 years ago.  I bought a bunch of them anticipating expanding at home and the office where I have it set up.  I'm trying to set up this new speaker at home, i have no sonos products at home. I have sonos set up at the office This new speaker fails at the update stage of setup every time,  regardless of wifi or wired.  I get error 30 on wifi and 1014 with Ethernet.   Any help would be appreciated.   I'm using android with what I think is the s1 app ( doesn't actually say on the icon like it used to, but the icon is black) .

I’m posting this because of the repeated problems I’ve had my Sonos network and components working then falling off of my system. This is potentially a fix for many people out there.  I have an Asus router, but many routers will use the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands simultaneously WITH THE SAME SSID NAME. This will confuse your Sonos system, as well as many other WiFi connected devices. For me, my Arc would connect to the 2.4Ghz band and my 2 Era 100’s would connect to the 5Ghz band. While the components were all connected to the router, the fact that they were on different bands did not allow the Sonos network to connect to all 3 of them. What’s more infuriating was that if all 3 coincidentally connected to the same band and were set up on a Sonos network, the router may move 1 or 2 to another band at a later time and the Sonos network would show those components as disconnected or missing or in Sleep Mode or powered down.  THE FIX:Find the WiFi settings on your router that “combine” your 2.4
