I recently purchased Sonos products because of the wireless connectivity. I have an Arc sound bar, Gen3 Sub and two Era100 speakers. It all sounds fairly decent although my biggest issue is having to use the app to control everything. Half the time it doesn’t connect and when it does you struggle finding the sound slide to turn down the music. Basically it’s very troublesome, until they can figure out how to improve on the app as a controller I’m only slightly satisfied with my purchase.
You could try adding Sonos Voice Control and use verbal control? Not a fix for the app, but possibly a quicker/easier volume control.

If you are using IOS, do what several have done …spend $3 on the SonoPhone app for iPhone or SonoPad for the iPad. Works great. I don’t even use the Sonos app any more.
Sounds like you have some interference on your network Do you have any of your Sonos devices hardwired or all they all operating wirelessly
What’s your question?
“Is there any other way I can control my Sonos system other than the App?”
Why yes, yes there is!
You throw whatever’s playing in your Spotify onto Sonos easily enough using the “Share from Spotify” button.
If it’s connected to your TV via ARC HDMI port then you should be able to use your normal TV remote to control your volume.
Or buy an IKEA Dirigera hub and remote….
