Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi Sonos Team, I recently purchased a Sonos HD Radio subscription and am impressed with the audio quality and it’s fantastic! However, I’ve noticed that the service announces the station name in between songs. While I understand the intent, this feature can feel a bit disruptive in certain settings, like when hosting guests or a party. Switching to Spotify avoids this, but it does make me question the value of maintaining both subscriptions. Is there a way to disable these announcements for a more seamless listening experience? Thank you for your time and support!

I’ve been using my Sonos system primarily for music, but I’m now setting it up for home theater use. I’m looking for tips on how to get the best sound quality for movies and TV shows. Specifically, what settings or configurations in the Sonos app should I adjust for enhanced surround sound? Any recommendations for additional Sonos components (e.g., soundbars, subwoofers) that would improve my home theater experience would be greatly appreciated

I’ve had two Sonos sl 1 speakers for about two years and I’ve hardly ever had them both working.I have one in the kitchen and the other one in the living room. I constantly have to sort out one by doing a reset I’ve also rang up someone at Sonos who got both working for a while. Now if I get say the kitchen going the living room one stops working it seems I can only have one at a time working could someone help please. I want to subscribe to apple music and get a roam but won’t until I get this sorted.RegardsBruce

I have a Beam and 2 Sonos Ones all on S2 app. When I try to add sub mini it keeps saying that the system has been added but may not appear... But it never appears. Have reset the mini and tried to add it on multiple times via phone and tablet but no joy. Any idea how I can add it?

Anyone else noticed how slow and unresponsive the App has become today Dec 23rd 2024?   Much worse than the usual sluggish performance we have become used to.android App Randomly losing connection with the playersMore than 20 seconds to pick up what’s playing  and before anyone jumps in ,  no its not my network , these are ethernet connected devices and I have a strong Internet service 70mb/s with no competing web traffic.   If prior years problems are anything to go by I am not looking forward to entertaining guests on the 25th as new users plug in their sonos gifts for the first time and try to register. Please Sonos ditch this Cloud based App solution and give us back direct control of our own equipment. 

Hi guysI’ve just treat myself to a new TV and the Arc Ultra. They are in my lounge which already has ceiling speakers with amp ruuning them. When I’ve set up the Arc, it connects to the TV fine and then i add the amp as the surrounds which works but then no sound comes out of the ceiling speakers. It’s the same when i try and play music or the TV. I’ve tried all sorts and also spoke with SONOS via live chat and they have advised me i need to change my WIFI to a mesh system. Is this the only way around this issue? I have a beam and amp with ceiling speakers in my Kitchen which works fine.  ThanksRob

Have had a sonos system for close to 10 years, never had an issue until this new app upgrade. I can connect the Sonos Move and Roam without any issue. Everytime I open the app they are there. As for the 3 off Play 1, Play 3 and the Playbar. I am now well sick to the back teeth of the system finding the speakers after I have reset them then sometimes they connect and then just disappear. For the first time this very evening, and trying to connect the Playbar, it does the same procedure, after a reset, the system finds the Playbar, it connects and finally joins to the network, all good, it then it tries to an update and for the first time I get an error message which says that the speaker is connected but wont show as the update as not worked and until the playbar is updated it wont connect.No idea now how to resolve this issue. I am hoping it is a simple fix and that this will help with the other speakers connecting.

I know this has come up before but having followed all the suggestions and apparent "solutions" I'm still stuck with this issue. And I am going to give a far more detailed breakdown of what I've tried/what I am able to get to until I hit a wall and I definitely haven't seen any of this info elsewhere (I did look all over, both here & with Amazon)I have not been able to properly link my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription - I can't manage the library, I can't search/add to library/like or dislike etc, can't control playlists. It does show me my library and I can keep it playing (because in the backend, somewhere, it must show I have a subscription) but basically it's linking a "Prime Music" free or stripped-down version because it's linking to an American Amazon.com domain, and I DO have an Amazon.com account (I was on there back before they even had a UK domain to speak of) and I am also an Amazon Prime member in the UK. So I had to replace my network switch as it failed. I have 4 Sonos Connect devices (one Connect Amp and 3 Connects). Historically I had one connected to the Switch and then the other 3 daisy chained via cat5 cables. All was well.  Now my system “isn’t found” on the network. After trying a bunch of things I decided to hard reset each device (pressing mute/volume up button when powering on until orange light flashes and eventually solid green). I then reset my app and started from scratch with just one device at a time. However it is still unable to find my device.  I can see on my Router that the Connect Amp has an IP address so know it is connected.  But adding a device via the app and going through the “power on” just keeps saying no device found.  Any ideas?

I use Pocket Casts as a mobile app and on Sonos. On the App I get UK relevant Ads, but on SONOS I get US relevant (UK irrelevant) Ads. Is there any way to switch that? Can't really be doing it for the advertisers!

I would VERY much like to be able to play my Arc and Ace headphones (I haven’t bout the Ace’s yet) at the same time. My wife and I have different listening volume expectations. I dare say the I would not be alone in finding such a feature more than useful, particularly if it could be switched.

Ever since you enjoyed prematurely releasing your piece of crap app in may. I ve had speakers dropping off, cant separate speakers from tv, connection issues. Speakers disappearing from system cant find system on and on and on. The foreign techs are hard to understand. I get got a major investment in this garbage.16 total speakers. Have made dozens off call to your help line . They know your products suck and they may fix an issue but it always comes vack . Wish i could start over with something else. Too late i m stuck. You shouldn’t have released the app till it was ready. Will never buy another product from sonos

Please help.  It’s driving me nuts and I have to unplug the unit every day to get it to stop.  The popping is rhythmic and non stop while the unit is off.  The firmware is up to date.  

I’m trying to play music from my friends phone. but I can’t seems to connect his phone via Bluetooth .i just got the Sonos beam 2 could it be that Beam cannot support Bluetooth devices ?  What recommendation can I get do I can use Bluetooth connection 

I recently rebooted my system and changed to a different WiFi.  now i can not downloaded the Calm App.  it does not take me to my calm account to authorize. instead it takes my to the calm site and says “sign up successful “without asking for my account or password.  then when i go back to the app it says no content items available.  any suggestions?

I recently noticed whilst watching certain programmes that my arc ultra makes a strange metallic squeak type sound from what I believe to be the side speakers only playing certain frequencies. I watched buy now the shopping conspiracy on Netflix on my Bose soundbar in the bedroom and it sounded fine then I decided to watch it with my partner downstairs through the arc ultra and some of the background music had a strange high pitched metallic sound emanating from the side speakers. I have also noticed it on other programmes with background music or sound effects but just thought I was being paranoid. It almost sounds like some high frequency distortion. I have tried truplay enabled and without and it’s still there, connected to a Sony a80j using EARC and good quality hdmi cables. Has any one else noticed this or do I have an issue with my unit?

My tuner keeps cutting out on my favorite station MSNBC, why? Because it is trash, full of ads and poorly updated.Do you have the same problem(s)?PS I live in Brazil and have excellent internet service.

I’ve tried everything!  Incredibly frustrating!  I have an early gen Sub that gets through initial WiFi setup and connection to Amp - only to drop it within an hour.  Have tried adding local WiFi network in addition to Sonos dedicated network. Have tried Ethernet connection to set-up, then return to WiFi only - only to have Sub drop its connection yet again. This product is crap compared to all of my other Sonos products that have functioned flawlessly.  Yet it is one of the most expensive I’ve purchased.  Any suggestions would be appreciated. 

What does it mean “ connection has timed out” ? Why and what does this mean?
