Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I’m using surround sound at home for the first time. I think on some 2.0 video content an attempt is being made to upmix to 5.1 or similar somewhere in my chain of devices but it’s patchy and I would personally rather just have my left and right Era 300s also playing the L and R channels. Is this possible, either through Sonos or from particular devices? I’d consider buying a replacement streaming box that does this.  AppleTV4K ——> LG C4 —(eARC)—> Sonos Arc Ultra/Era 300s/SubMini This is what I’m currently using. 

Hi I'm just wondering if these two are compatible? The TV didn't have a optical port so I bought an adapter to connect optical port to HDMI but it still won't connect 

Hi,I have a turn table and CD player connected to my Marantz amplifier. This is then connected to the Sonos port from Recorded Out. I am playing music fine on my Play 5s, but I want to control the volume through the Amp rather than the Sonos app. I have tried changing line in in the port to Fixed, but nothing is working. Anyone got any advice please. Many thanks. 

My Spotify app can see all my Sonos devices that are on the same network, however when I select them to stream it doesn’t connect. My wife has no issues streaming on the same network with the same devices. I am attempting streaming from Spotify app on MacBook and iPhone 14. I have reinstalled Spotify app on phone and MacBook. Airplay works fine to Sonos devices, but it has a delay and takes more effort. I have restarted my phone/MacBook, Sonos devices, and router. Everything is up to date. I have Sonos one, beam, and Arc and none of them work. 

how to  minimize below neighbor complaining and keeping a good setup.  i alos want a goood setting to watch movie ( i habe a gen 2 beam with 2 One Slmas surrounf and a Sub mini )  please send me your best setting for movie watching .  Where I should have the sub mini in my room .  I have a L shaped sofa 

Any chance of bringing remote manageability to the Sonos Web App? Very specific, checking for and running system updates… I can already access and see the system, its components and what’s going on. Having the ability to check and trigger updates would be ideal!

Hello - I’ve been using a Five in my home gym for a while, placed horizontally. All has been great but my gym is starting to grow and there are 2 areas separated by a short wall. I will be adding a second Five to the new section and I am not sure what the best configuration is. Question 1: Should I pair the 2 5s in stereo or will the wall cause problems? Question 2: Will it matter much if I orient the left speaker vertically? I do not plan to change the orientation of the right speaker. I may need to hang the left vertically out of space concerns once a fan is added to the left wall. Question 3: should I just keep it easy and not pair them and just group them as 2 separate speakers. I’d like to decide before get a speaker so that I get the correct mount. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks!

It doesn't work starting streaming swedish radio today.

I used to be able to listen to podcast via spotify connect (aka direct control in sonos lingo) on my s2 system. Since about 3 months every time i choose one of my speakers in the Spotify app - spotify tries to connect for about 1 minute and then reverts back to playing from the phone.Streaming music from spotify connect works fine.I have not changed anything in my setup and i have the latest versions of Spotify and Sonos. What can be wrong?

Hello everybody,Since the new app deployment in may, i had to wait several monthes to be able just to see my playlits in the app.Now i can see and play them but, several monthes after, and despite “hundred of engineers working to improve the this app” (dixit director of innovation) i still can not modify them !Sonos help seems to avoid dealing with that.My app is IOs app.Do some of you find a way to add/suppress titles in playslists ?Thanks for help.Emmanuel.

I'm trying to sign up for sonos radio hd but I get an error saying I don't have an eligible product attached to my account. I have a bunch of ERA 100s. Are these not eligible? If not, what is? Thanks

should i use a 8K Arcana VRR 40Gbps arcana2 with the sonos arc ultra?  I am trying to connect a ps5 pro and a projector.  I want to be able to use Dolby Atmos.  Not sure how to split the audio off from the projector.

I used to be able to listen to Spotify, Netflix, etc., on a single Sonos speaker and then connect to additional speakers with the Sonos App.  I would initiate the listening session with my iPhone 15, or a Macbook Air.  Once I selected other speakers, they would all play whatever was currently playing.  But since the last major downgrade to the Sonos App, whenever I select additional speakers via the Sonos App, the speakers go silent.  I can only select multiple speakers after selecting a music streaming service via the Sonos App.The only work around that I found was to walk to each additional speaker and press the play button until the currently streaming service is heard.  Is this Sonos App issue going to ever be resolved or is there some other solution?  I cannot see any Sonos groups available in Airplay from either an iPhone or a Macbook.  And the Sonos App only allows you to stream music to multiple speakers if the streaming service is initiated from the Sonos App.

Sonos Arc Ultra. TV sound fades out when audio clip is being plaid.

I know this issue is addressed from various angles. I have the Beam 2 and it was a huge improvement over a Vizio soundbar. Clarity of dialog was the biggest issue watching TV, movies etc. I am talking exclusively TV, not music. I am considering adding 2 ERA 100 speakers to get to the next level. I assume this will create a Surround Sound environment and generally improve clarity and dialog/sound. I keep reading about a short lag between the sound bar, speakers and TV. Is this a big issue or are we splitting hairs? It’s $400 dollars or so and there is no reason for a false start if it’s not going to work right. It’s a big room, 15x15 and opens into a kitchen and front room. No doors.

Why does the Amazon playlist not display? I switched from Spotify which showed the playlist and allowed you to start on any song, and only played the playlist in entirety. Amazon displays nothing, chooses where it starts and plays its own choices when it gets to the end of the playlist…..any suggestions? Thanks

Hello,I have been using my amazon music subscription through my Sonos One without any issues, up until about a week ago. Now every time I ask it to play a specific song, it will say it is going to play a radio station similar to the song I just required as if it wouldn’t recognise I have an active amazon music subscription (as opposed to the “free” access included with amazon prime).I already tried the solution recommended in this post (similar but not identical issue) without success: please help, thank you.

I have a sonos amp and in ceiling speakers in my gym and am wanting to run the treadmill audio through the speakers.My treadmill has Bluetooth capabilities, so I purchased a Bluetooth receiver and connected it into the Sonos amp rca in line.The treadmill connects to the Bluetooth receiver, the Sonos app says the inline is connected in the amp settings, but I have no sound.Any thoughts?

It happens randomly multiple times per day. I have a Samsung TV. It happens no matter which streaming app I use. I have to cycle the tv off and on by holding down the power button. Super annoying and frustrating, especially with little kids whose patience level is non existent. Seen other posts but absolutely no answers.  I am connecting through HDMI and when I toggle the volume it says e-arc. It’s starting to not be worth the frustration even with the sound quality being so high.  does anyone know why this happens. Is it a Samsung thing, a Sonos issue? I am using the hdmi cord provided by sonos. The tv is only a few years old.

I bought a Beam soundbar a while ago and it was, and has been, fantastic. I then proceeded to install two Era 100s around the house. Apart from the delay issues with the TV connections, it was working fine. A month or so later, one of the Eras disappeared completely from the app. Sonos chat guys helped me through it and I got the Era to reappear but it has always said no connectivity. Went through the motions with Sonos chat and lost interest after 5 hrs of "try this, try that". In the end they were saying that there is no compatibility with my WiFi booster, although it worked fine for a month. Anyone able to help at all?

Can I use the same pair of Era100s to be both rear telly speakers and a stereo pair for listening to music?

I have 4 Sonos 1 speakers all connected to the same system. 2 in living room as a stereo pair, 1 in our bedroom and the 4th was in the kitchen. Approx. 12 months ago, the 4th (kitchen) started dropping out and as a result it has not been in use. We have established that there is a coupleof Wi-Fi black spots in our house that virgin are supplying boosters for although not yet received.I have since moved the speaker to my son’s room, closer to the router than our bedroom and it still doesn’t work and keeps dropping out. I have logged in to our router settings and none of the connections are duplicate IP addresses so this is really frustrating. I have also ran Diagnostics and spent a long time on the phone to Sonos and the problem is still not resolved. if anyone can offer any further assistance, that would be much appreciated!obviosuly, I have unplugged and reset all speakers and the router itself as well…
