Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Out of nowhere today the stereo pair of Era 100’s I had stopped working. I removed the stereo pair to reset them. But whilst I could hard reset one of them as expected, the other Era 100 will not reset. When inserting the power cable whilst holding the bluetooth button it will flash white for around a minute and then go to solid red. I have looked around the forums and can’t seem to find what a solid red light means.Have tried restarting phone, uninstalling and reinstalling S2 app, restarting home network.

Hi I have a pair of Eros 300’s. However, when playing anything but Spotify I get a message on the app saying ‘no content’ despite everything being connected with ability to play on anything else. Completely frustrated with the app which doesn’t work. Even playing Spotify it drops connections. I should be able to listen to anything I chose given the cost of these speakers.HELP PLEASE

I was expecting sense of movement but it's all just coming straight at me, sounds like the fight’s happening in a closet. Other scenes in this movie we can hear the surrounds kick in and get plenty of separation, really wide soundstage.Am I at the mercy of the mix? Is this a decoding or software problem with Sonos? The MacOs Sonos app does not connect to the Play:1.  The best result is that the app will take a long time to connect then once it does the program plays for about 15 seconds, stops; this repeats for about 3 times then stops playing.  When I try to play a program a waiting to connect message appears then disappears.  A connection is never established..I am using a MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.3

To address the issue of users not understanding the consequences of Factory Resetting their system, can I request that Sonos introduce a backup function of a users Sonos system?  This could then be used to restore a setup in the event of either hardware failure or an ill advised factory reset.

My NAS, that I’ve used with Sonos V1 and up until earlier this year is old and only supports SMB1. Unfortunately Sonos’ decision to completely cutoff SMB1 has defeated this solution for share a Music Library.My router provides a USB folder share for files such as a Music Library. It is accessed via local DNS at \\readyShare\Music. All files are visible to the desktop app and Android app indicating that the apps are connecting with the share. However playing a file (mp3) results in Access Denied. The folder does not have credentials enabled however I have tried with no credentials as well as the router’s, none work.I have also tried sharing a folder on my local Window 11 PC, same result, files are visible however playing files are access denied. I’ve tried opening ports 443, 3443 and disabling the local firewall altogether on the PC.  There is no firewall that I’m aware of on the router, same for the Androids.I’ve called Support 3 times, each time they s

I have a new two speaker system, an era300 in living room and move2 in kitchen. They were working together well until I moved the portable to another room (where it worked well) but the move stopped making music even though it still appears in the sonos app as a unit (playing the same tune in both rooms). I reset the portable and it came back to play. The Era300 played for a minute and then IT stopped sounding. Huh?

Any ex My tuner users managed to find reasonably priced alterntaives to Sonos that use airable services?it’s apparent that airable will work around the copyright issues Sonos has faced with my tuner and others so we can no longer access international radio stations in the UK?

Hi - Is there any way to connect a Sonos Ray soundbar to a Pansonic TV TX-MS36O 32 - The TV has no optical socket only a HDMI Arc and a SPDIF Coax Out connector I have tried a cable from the headphone socket to the Sonos Ray - a Optical cable with a 3.5mm jack adaptor  Cheers   

On a regular basis, the sonos web player allows me to play music more reliably than the app. I do have the latest app. Speakers show up in both the web player and app, but the web player is more reliable. Anyone else have this issue?

Would be helpful if there is an option for Like and Dislike in Sonos YouTube music services.

Android app used to work great. Now, when I try to simply adjust the volume, it shuts off all the speakers. I have to adjust volume, then pick which speakers to turn on EVERY TIME I SIMPLY CHANGE THE VOLUME. This make the app pretty useless. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have 2 internet providers coming into my house - SKY and AIRBAND. Most of my Sonos components are wired via Ethernet to the Airband router. The WiFi on both routers are on.  The IOS controller shows all components whether I am connected to the Sky or Airband WiFi but the list of services won’t load and I can’t control the music/volume.In the app the Sky WiFi is shown under manage my network - if I try and delete it it reappears after a few seconds. Any advise on how to set this up correctly? I would like Sonos wired for reliability but if I turned off Airband WiFi could I use Sky WiFi to control the system if it’s wired into the Airband router? Most of the units are close together except for a couple.

I have an amp in a kitchen/diner/lounge area, hardwired to 4 Sonos in ceiling speakers. This was meant purely for music. However…having now installed a TV and an Arc, I wanted to use 2 of these speakers as surround.I added the amp as my surround speakers to the Arc and they work fine. Problem is of course is that when I play music it comes out of the arc and barely out of the in ceiling speakers.  Is there anyway to resolve this? Maybe have 2 amps, one that is connected to just 2 speakers and the other one to all 4. Or is there a configuration that I can use (I don’t think so…).I don’t want to add any more speakers.Thanks.

I’ve installed a Pro-Ject turntable and a port. Connected the port to the WIFI. Now I get no sound using the turntable and nothing from the speakers for TV, streaming services, etc.  When I go to TV, for example, and select all the speakers in my ecosystem, the app indicates it cant connect.   I’ve got no use of my Sonos now for anything. 

Why can’t I use Trueplay on my new iPad 2024, 13”. When I used to be able to use it on my old iPad Air which was nearly 10 years old?

HiMy ears get tired listening to the Arc Ultra. Voices are clear but somewhat metallic. It comes even with low sound levels.  Anyone having the same issues and things I can try?

All my content services have been removed (same on multiple Android phones and tables). The system will now not let me add any content services. I’ve rebooted, as well as signed out, tried Sonos Chat support, without success. I can see and add services from the Windows app which works perfectly in all respects. But the same Content Services don’t appear on the App. I don’t even see Sonos Radio.I do still have access to my Music Library though, and all my Devices. What channel is best to use to lower interference from other WiFi products? I use a google fiber modem and service and how do I go through this process of switching my Sonos system to a different channel? Thank you 🙏 

Hello Everyone, just bought a Connect Amp Gen 2,  I wanted to confirm the boot sequence to check I don't have one on the way out. My previous G1 connect amp started flashing the white light as soon as power was applied, and finally staying solid once connected. I expected the G2 to do the same, this time when power is applied, the white light comes on solid for 3 seconds, then goes out for 20 seconds, comes on again flashing until connected then Solid. The 20 seconds with no light is very consistent, so am hoping this is normal ?. Can anyone confirm this is the same on their G2 connect amp pleaseThanks very much 👍  

I always play my music through my Windows computer using iTunes or Apple Music, I have a very extensive library.  Last week my Era 100’s stopped playing when using Airplay.  Airplay works on my Roam still, and the Era 100’s work with other connections, just not Airplay.  I tried Airplay through my iPhone, and same issue.   Anybody have a solution to this?

Hi,I have an old S2 Connect Amp and 2 x 8ohm speakers, i though i was smart so i combined one of the speaker leads from each speaker and so on the connect amp on the speaker output both blacks are connected together and then separete L and R goes to each speaker. The amp plays but cuts at 60% volume. Is this wrong what i have done ? Should i go back to separate black lead to each speaker ?/donib

I have an old 5.1 surround sound system that my customer wants to upgrade. If possible, he’d like to keep his good quality existing front left,right and left right surround speakers. His center speaker and subwoofer can be replaced. The room is large. ( 25’ x 36’ by 18’foot peak ceiling, on a cement slab) My issue is that I can’t seem to get a straight answer from Sonos whether I can use an Arc soundbar as the center speaker and use one Sonos Amp for the two front speakers and another Sonos Amp for the two surround speakers and a Sonos Sub and actually get a 5.1 surround sound system. They’ve sent me links to articles that reference using Sonos surround speakers. Even if the customer was willing to give up his existing surround speakers there are no 120 VAC wall outlets where his existing speakers are and no way to conveniently add the wires because the room is on a cement slab. I want to purchase 2 pairs of in ceiling speakers ( 4 speakers total) and also 2 outdoor speakers, I want to see will one Sonos Amp suffice for this if i want them all to play the same thing and not divide up my space?
