Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Considering buying the Sonos Arc Ultra. Would like other’s experience with setting up the system. With just the soundbar? Soundbar with two rear, wireless speakers for surround sound?

I am at a loss. I have the BenQ projector with the Sonos Arc Ultra + two surrounds Era 100. First of all the surrounds are really quiet even when I turn them up in the app. Can barely ever hear them even though they are closer to me than the Sonos Arc Ultra. The main issue is that the Arc keeps cutting out and making some static popping noises every few seconds. I tried to play with the sound formats but nothing helps.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello. Yesterday during watching a Transformers on SkyShowtime 5.1, no Dolby Atmos, At some moment I heard a loud single crack sound.Could be of course just some quality jump or signal issue.Just wondering, if there is or will be added in the future option, when all the speakers can be tested one by one as now I am bit worried if all is playing as before and was it just glitch or speaker by itself.Tried rewind immediately and wasn't there anymore.Did someone experienced something similar? If does already exist something to test speakers one by one, let me know please :) Just don't ask me to check by putting my ear close to speaker as 9.1.4 speaker... Today’s WSJ (18 Jan 25) published an article about the App Debacle:A must read here:“The $500 Million Debacle at Sonos That Just Won’t End”If the link above does not work, search using the article’s title.According to business news sites, there was a bunch of insider selling leading up to the App’s release in mid-May. According to an article on ARS Technica the smart people at Sonos opposed releasing the App in May.

We have no other Wi-fi sources around, do not use Alexa! Your new App started this crap, now the music starts blasting all times of the day and night. Really, BTW your CEO deserves the AX along with the design team? 

After last app update. Our three speakers stopped working.Had to re register all three speakers as they had lost internet connection.Took some time to get the speakers working again.Another disappointing App update by Sonos. 

Hi. Are these Sonos surround sounds have an equalizer that I can adjust like before?

I'm certain this has already been discussed because it is extremely annoying so I don't believe I'm the only one to complain. But I cannot find the relevant thread. So, nagging incoming:Wrong group displayed:Every time I start the app, the wrong group is active and displayed.I f I am watching tv, it will display a non-active session of Spotify in my office room. If I'm listening to music in my office room then it will display the inactive line in PC. Mehhhh....It has been exhausting!!! Why has such an obvious defect on base functionality not been fixed yet?Quick access:One feature that I have been waiting even before the mess with the new app: a quicker way to access to equalizer, surround and sub. Or better some profiles that I can associate with activities. Hi,For no apparent reason my Spotify connect has stopped playing on Sonos. When I choose to play a song in Spotify on Sonos, Spotify app tries to make a connection and silently fails. However, if I group speakers in Sonos, I can see the groups in Spotify i.e. some data is transferred successfully.I have tried connecting from Spotify Mac app and Ios app with same results. I have rebooted all Sonos devices, routers and reinstalled Ios Spotify app.  All help appreciated!

My speakers are acting in a very bizarre manner.  At any random point, day or night, they suddenly turn on and off in a quick fashion, like at a rate of 3 - 4 times per second.  I have a video I can share if needed.  When I open the app, it’s showing the music start and pause in a super quick fashion.  I can’t pause it, change stations, or anything.  If I try and turn the volume down, it goes straight back to level 15.. exactly.   I’ve tried reinstalling the app, and resetting the speakers.. Within minutes it’s doing it again.  Is there a fix to this, or did I just lose $400 at Costco?  

I click on my app to open.... It switches to app, starts loading the app.... The app shows main menu and immediately closes out. EVERYTIME!!!! I have ZERO controls over a expensive system!!! Why is this taking so long to fix!? Should've been fixed immediately or within a week of first signs. Not sit and wait. WHAT IS BEING DONE???

I found a solution by getting a cheap universal remote and pairing it to the Sonos soundbar then adding the universal remote to the Apple TV.  the Apple TV then controls the sound. 

I’ve spent a total of about 5 hours on the phone with Sonos tech support with no good results.I’m installing a Sonos home theater for my customer in a room with dimensions of 36’ X 25’ X 18 ‘ ceiling and cement slab floor. Using Arc Ultra, Sub 4 and an Amp for existing hardwired surround sound speakers to be used with their TV.It seems that Sonos has decided that when the Amp is used for surround sound speakers only, that they are going to decided what proportion of the audio signal goes to the Arc and the surround sound speakers. That is  . . . . . there is no individual volume control for each of the surround sound speakers. Now I know there’s a “Level” audio control and a speaker distance control but there is no “individual” “volume” control.My issues is  . . . . my customer has paid almost a thousand dollars for a 125 watt per channel stereo amplifier, which when used to power two stand alone floor standing speakers, will knock your socks off, yet when used

 I’ve spent several days trying to build a music library, and this message keeps popping up. “Algol” is the name of the server and “all” is the share. All checks out well on the host side. This message occurs 5-10-15 minutes into the Library refresh. I’ve been able to get most of the library built by starting with a small number of files in the share, refreshing the library, adding more, refresh, repeat. Having smaller updates seems to suit Sonos better. But now that the library has grown to 38,000 or so files, I can’t get any further. I suspect what is happening is that Sonos is timing out on reading the share folders and building its database. It interprets a timeout as the share going away -- unpowered, changed path, whatever, none of which is definitely not the case. I don’t have reason to suspect the environment. The

I am using a New phone and haven't used my speaker for a while.I have connected my Sonos One SL to my wifi again and the app says I have suceeded, but when I want to use it it doesn't exist anymore. I have updated the app, shut the power of andrestartet my router. Can anyone please help me, what can I do?

Hey,I just added 2 Era 300 speakers to my Soundbar Arc and Sub Gen 3. I connected them to WiFi and set them up as surround sound speakers for the entire system. The problem is that when I play music, a movie (anything), the speakers intermittently cut out. They play sound in a pulsating manner. The router is in the same room and the WiFi signal is very strong. Do you know what could be causing this?

HelloI recently purchased a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300s. Everything works very well, but I'm noticing for the second time a problem with the bass on certain Dolby Atmos films. The sound starts skipping when the base level is too high, as if the system is unable to deliver it. It usually cuts out for half a second, but it can be much longer with choppy sound for several seconds. So I'm wondering if the problem comes from the bar or if it's something common when you don't have a subwoofer. I noticed the problem in the films Civil War and Sicario, especially with the helicopters.

Hi,I am planning to buy an additional Sonos Five to the one I currently have to make a stereo pair. I definitely want to put them on stands but the price of stands is putting me off (£240 for a pair of Sanus or £200 for a pair of Flexson).However, I've found this budget option and wonder if they would be any good. So I purchased a Sub Mini from the US military Exchange store in Germany in March 2024.  Yesterday the LEDs on my sub stopped working and I am not longer able to connect the sub to the app.I promptly connected Sonos support and asked for assistance.  After going through the typical “have you checked the power plug” I finally was offered the have the item replaced.  Oh, but wait, a few minutes later the agent said my sub mini was out of warranty.  I purchase the item 10 months ago and I have a 1 year warranty.Has anyone else had this problem?  Any suggestions on what I can do?  Should I get a lawyer? 

I (stupid me) made a factory reset on my two old Play3 speakers due to problems with the stereo-setup. I therefore is forced to update (I think) both units and app if I want to add the two Play3 units to the system again. Will the system after the firmware update of the system be able function with android App ver. 16.1?

When I try to play, the song just buffering. Nothing happens. Yes, I have tried to reauthorize. And reinstall the Apple Music. Dont work. 

Completely baffling there’s still no way to sort or organise Favorites, except for Recently Added. Most users will obviously add the most important services first, which therefore don’t show up on the home page over time. This is UX 101. Can someone please let us know if there’s any chance this is going to be changed?Please Allow us to manually edit and organise the list! 

Would anyone from Sonos be prepared to offer a new timeline for the restoration of the full playlist creation / editing /. Managing feature that has been absent since May 2024?We were promised Sept , then Oct , then December and there has been no sign of it.  

Hi, i’ve just updated my Arc including 2 play 1’s which are my surrounds, just 1 of the play 1’s will not update, keeps failing, tried all the obvious, any help appreciated as this is really annoying me as you can imagine.kind regards Jamie.
