Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi all, I have this issue since a few weeks. The Sonos App keeps saying that I need to login as system owner, bur of course I am the system owner. So I cannot add new devices or change settings. I have already tried to uninstall the app but nothing has changed, I also tried to use a new Android device to connect with the Sonos system but I still have the same message. I have contacted the Sonos assistance online but no help so far. I am using an Android device. Thank you in advance for your help.

I paired Sonos Ace using bluetooth in my Macbook pro. However, the Ace is not showing up as sound output device. I have a roam and it’s showing and I can play music from my Macbook pro, but not with the Ace. Any anyone help me?

Hello!My music library resides on a NAS system and I use the Android app. I rip my own mp3s and the software I have used sometimes created a .m3u file when I rip a whole album.  Most of these playlists show up under the ‘Imported Playlist’ section of my Music Library in the app. I thought I would try creating my own .m3u playlists of various tracks.I am using the VLC media player (Linux) and a text editor to create the files.  VLC created playlists use a URL to the file  (eg file:///home/Music/AC-DC/High_Voltage/05-TNT.mp3).  I didn’t think Sonos would understand this so I have a version of that file that uses relative paths (eg AC-DC/High_Voltage/05-TNT.mp3). I have Sonos update the content and neither playlist shows up.  I even deleted and re-added the Music library and neither shows up.I tried creating a new directory and putting the playlists in there and neither the folder nor the playlists show up after rescanning the music library.  I am out of ideas on how to troubleshoot this.

I have an outstanding B&W Sub.  Could I use Arc Ultra and synchronize it for home theater?  Or could I use a Connect with Sub-Out to the powered sub I already own?  If not, has anyone placed a Sub3 or Sub4 in an enclosed box under a TV?  I want to build the sub into the wall cause my wife insists it will not be in the room...

I can use the speakers from the computer app just fine, but the iPhone app keeps flashing continuously between the library and Your System screen so it is unusable.The iPhone app shows the right song being played, so it is connecting to the speakers, but it can't be used because the screen keeps flipping back and forth so the clicks go to random buttons.Speakers are updated, iPhone and computer apps are updated (iPhone version is 80.14.09)

I am new to Sonos speaker use.I am having trouble getting my Win 11 PC music file to transfer to the Sonos music library. It seems to be showing but will not play. The message appearing when attempting to play a song choice pops up “It does not exist”First level tech attempt to trouble shoot for 1.5 hrs. today until I asked to be escalated, so now I wait for a email to schedule a time to book the next level tech.Any dumbed down level suggestions? Has anyone else experienced the same issue?JT

If you install the ERA300s in a upside down position near the ceiling, do you have to change specific settings, or do you just need to run Trueplay? 

Help. My Sonos takes about 4 attempts before it will play. Then the visual information does not keep up with the track being played. If the system plays for longer than two hours I receive the famous "no products found " message.  Meaning everything freezes. So frustrating.  Any ideas. I'm not a computer engineer IT graduate. I bought Sonos as a plug and play. 

Hi,Earlier today I was playing with the placement of my sub mini to get rid of some unwanted boominess around 50hz.After finding a spot that sounds better, I noticed that if I lower the subwoofer level to the minimum (-15), the bass boominess at 50hz is back. And… it seems to be coming from the arc ultra!! In other words, it seems that adjusting the subwoofer level seems to affect how much bass is played by the ultra vs sub.I'm pretty sure this is not how things worked in other sonos soundbars I tried, or the sonos amp I own. In those cases the crossover frequency is set at a fixed level - anything above is sent to the soundbar and anything below to the sub. And the sub level is just a gain control for the sub output.But my feeling is that, for the ultra , sub level is controlling both the gain AND the crossover between the bar and the sub. I find this is making it harder for me to integrate the sub in my system (in fact, my usual sub placement no longer works, as it sounds too boomy f

I have a TCL 55c745k TV and just purchased a beam 2. I am unable to get the soundbar to output to Atmos with Disney plus or 4k blu rays? My Xbox series x shows that without the soundbar, it can process Atmos, but with It plugged into the EARC with HDMI 2.1  cable, it says I can't output it anymore.  Please can someone help me with this, otherwise I may just sell it and find another way to output atmos

i recently bought a Sonos arc ultra with a sub gen 4. i hooked it up to my Sony a80L tv, went through setup. when i play Dolby Atmos content regardless from what source whether its MAX, Disney, ETC the audio will cut out for a split second (very fast but annoying) every 3-5 seconds. i have gone through my tv settings and made sure eArc is on auto, audio is set to passthrough, etc. nothing seems to fix the problem. the issue does not happen with non dolby content.

Can someone please explain how room control is supposed to work? What I’m experiencing appears problematic.The setup:Two rooms: A and B. If it matters -- room A contains a One SL; room B contains two Fives in a stereo pair.Two people: Person A in room A, person B in room B. Each person is using the latest Sonos app on an iPhone.The problem:Person A is streaming a radio station in Room A, from that station’s web site, using AirPlay on the person’s iPhone.Person B wants to stream a SiriusXM station in Room B. SiriusXM is accessible via the Sonos app on person B’s iPhone.Person B clicks the Rooms icon on his Sonos app and sees both rooms. Room A is checked and indicates streaming. Room B is unchecked; no streaming shown. What does he need to do start streaming something in Room B without affecting what’s happening in Room A? If he checks Room B (so that both rooms are checked), his streaming choice starts playing in both rooms. If he unchecks room A and checks Room B, his streaming choice

Hi. I have a Sonos One Gen 2. It was dropped and now the bass reverberates on the mid-woofer. Is there anywhere you can get a like-for-like part to replace it? It looks very easy to swap over. 

I was able to log back in to my account in the ios app and my Sirius account is connected and playing but there is no sound.  Tried local to play local music from my library, also no sound.  Suggestions?

system has suddenly stopped playing from my Apple music purchases list. In the Sonos app a pop up says: Can't play "Julekveldsvise."( a track on the norwegian Christmas music album ) It's not encoded correctly.

I have the Arc Ultra/Sub 4 and Era 300 I have just removed the Era 300s from surround sound as it is so bad I can’t bear to listen to it any more. I think it is something like a synchronisation issue but the sound is horrendous. Anyone experienced this?

I love how Sonos response to the limited library is use someone else’s software and pay for their subscription.  Music fans with large libraries can go pound sand.Plex isn’t good for playlist imports.  But….Roon is expensive as heck.  However Roon streams perfectly with the Sonos hardware and even does whole home playback.  You’re no longer stuck with the Sonos app and even no longer stuck in Sonos hardware ecosystem.Try the Roon free trial

Hi,I currently have in ceiling speakers powered by a multi zone amp using a Port as the source. The speakers are in the perfect place to be surround speakers for my TV, to which I am considering adding an Arc Ultra and sub. That TV currently has a different sound bar.If I do this, I would want to use the in ceilings as surrounds. First, I dont think the port is capable of this, so I would have to switch that zone to a Sonos Amp…. frustrating, but fine. I sill have a few issues and questions…The amp is in a downstairs audio closet but I am able to hardwire ethernet the Amp and the Arc to the same switch if necessary. Is there any issue that they are in different rooms? The sub would be in the same room as the Arc. In this configuration, my 4 in ceiling speakers are now bonded to the Arc meaning they are somewhat permanently “surround” speakers. In movie mode, no big deal, but in music mode, will they be “secondary” to the arc? In music mode, I prefer to have the in ceiling speakrs doing

Hello, I need Atmos theatre sound for a portable projector - it has e-arc I believe  I have  a play base which works but isn't used much any more -  not sure if that has e -arc or if there is a work around  any advice how to bring the  play base into use ? Also  how to  “add”  to it ?  Or do I buy a beam 2?   I  dont want to buy an arc ultra as  this all has to be positioned within feet /  meters of the projector (cable length ) and put away  after the holidays until next year ?  Any advice please ?   

I will be actively using my Sonos Ace headphones connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy. During playback, the headphones will completely disconnect and I have to manually reconnect them to my phone in the Bluetooth settings. Has anyone else encountered this and/or solved? I do not have multipoint turned on. The phone is literally right by me. I’ve restarted all devices and still encounter this problem.

Does anyone know if you have music playing thru one of the approved soundbars from the Sonos app, say Pandora, Apple Music, etc. can you swap that music to the Sonos Ace headphones? Or is it only the device that is physically connected with the HDMI or Optical that gets swaped.I want to use them in my workshop for when I need ear protection but want to continue to listen to the audio stream whether it be the TV or a music stream started from the Sonos App. I’ll buy a Beam and attach it to the TV if this works. I could play Pandora, etc. thru the TV with Roku and make it work, but if I want to have the game on the TV and listen to music this doesn’t work for me. Plus I will have a Play 3 grouped as well as a Port or Amp.If they would allow APP Audio Swapping with the Port or an Amp, I wouldn’t need the Beam, just saying. 

Hey everyone,Today I ran into a strange issue with my Sonos setup. The Sonos app would open (iOS) and show my system, and I could control the volume on my soundbar for instance. However, it wouldn’t show any of my recently played items, music accounts, or let me add my new Era 100 to the system—it kept failing during the update process.I tried everything I could think of:Restarting my Wi-Fi (I use an Orbi 770 mesh system - I know these sometimes appear to cause issues). Restarting my phone. Restarting my Sonos devices (a lot of them). Switching Wi-Fi on and off again.Nothing worked! After almost an hour of frustration, I thought of plugging an Ethernet cable into my old Playbar which first didn't resolve the issue. Some time later everything magically started working again (app showing recently played stuff etc.), and I was finally able to add my Era 100.I’ve read that mesh systems can sometimes cause issues with Sonos, but I’m wondering:Could this have been a server issue on Sonos’ si

Hi, Just got a new LG C4 TV after having an old Samsung for 10 years, been using a Playbar the whole time.  I have the new TV and Magic Remote hooked up to the Playbar no problem.  However, my old TV used an IR remote and I was able to control the Playbar’s volume when the TV was off, but I was streaming music to the Playbar via the Sonos app.  The new LG remote uses RF and will only control the Playbar if the TV is on.  I think I am answering my own question here, but is there any way to get the Magic Remote (RF) to control the Playbar directly, with the TV off, so I can adjust the volume of music streaming to the Sonos device with the TV off? thanks… Charlie

Installed 2 Era 100 in one room separately. How do I now pair them?

It appears that with the newest app release for Android,  which did give us local library album art, that we have now again lost the fix for compilation albums. Yep, seeing dozens of album entries per artist again. I assume others are seeing the same?
