Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi, i’ve just updated my Arc including 2 play 1’s which are my surrounds, just 1 of the play 1’s will not update, keeps failing, tried all the obvious, any help appreciated as this is really annoying me as you can imagine.kind regards Jamie.

I’ve had Sonos speakers for some years. For the first time ever, when I switched on the TV, the sound came out of the Playbar as usual but the TV sound also came out of my Play 5 in the bedroom. I’ve muted it for the time being.Any idea what’s happened? Thanks.

Every time I add new music to iTunes and then try to update my Library it vanishes - the path shows in my settings etc but all artists/albums vanish - and when I ‘update’ it takes about two seconds to update and nothing has changed.It was all working OK this morning - then added some new CDs to iTunes, and first it said the path was no longer available, which is rubbish - why would it have changed? I checked, and all sharing settings are as they were.I’m using an iMac BTW.

Hello,  My Sonos Connect has worked perfectly for quite some time. This week it changed completely. It disconnects all the time. Nothing in the setup has changed. Several times I've resetted it and moved it to different places.Everytime it starts again (after resetting it to factory settings) for a couple of minutes, than it disappears from my network. Since I've got it for my turntable, I can't hook it up physically to my router.I've spoken to the helpdesk on several occasions (I can hardly understand them due to the accents on their speech) and messaged on several occasions. I have called about my Sirius XM not being able to play on my Sonos sound bar. I have a Android phone and the app is loaded but the music stations are grayed out. They said this is a known issue, but they don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. They recommended that I try with an Apple device. Has anyone been able to get content from Sirius using an Android? This is nonsense and disappointing that they are not able to resolve this. What a POS!

The New Sonos iOS app is absolutely terrible. If you haven’t upgraded yet please please don’t. There are so many missing features and bugs to boot. It looks like an pre-Alpha version of software rushed to market without being properly tested or checked.PLEASE PLEASE  PLEASE Sonos bring back the S2 app for download on the App Store. If I could downgrade I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m a long time user and fan of Sonos products but frankly this is a big miss a disaster. This new app is almost unusable. This is Sonos’s Windows Vista moment. Please listen to your users Sonos, negative feedback is everywhere now. Please give us back the S2 app whilst this one goes back to the drawing board or perhaps the trash can.  

Lots of complaining on this forum that SONOS gives zero s***s about of course. The fact is SONOS ripped us off.And it's frustrating to be ripped off.I will be never give SONOS another dollar. That's my only revenge. Hello, Is it possible to play music from a USB key with Sonos Era 300 and Move? I have the Lin in adapter... I tried, I see the little lines that move but no sound and I don't see the pieces of the key.... sorry for the English, I had it translated with Google ;-) thanks

I recently bought 2 stands for my Sonos One speakers. In order to put the speakers on, I had to unplug them. I rebooted them and they show up in the app. I did the sound test where you move your arm in circles etc to tune it. At the top of System settings it says estimated time 1 minute to tune the speakers with True Play but the time never disappears. I’m using them with a Beam. Any suggestions on next steps in problem solving?

Please add the feature of being able to connect Bluetooth headphones to your smart speakers (likes echos can). 🙏🏻

I’ve had my sonos system for about 5 years now. I’m done!! starting to look for an alternative music system. All the hardware is great!! The controller is so infuriating to say the least!!! I am so very sick of “The requested operation is not available, try again” or any number of other catchy phrases given to not play any music!! This was so easy in the beginning, it’s not like I have a bunch of playlist, or custom anything from anything else. Just want to listen to music with no commercials. Now every single time I open the controller on my computer or phone I get the same song and dance… Or none I should say.However, if I ask alexa she will play just about anything I want. Unfortunately sometimes it comes out of the hockey puck or desk talk to gadget so I have to tell her to turn it off, get up, go into the kitchen where my sonos speak is and ask there… Is it really too much to ask for the music I want when I want it? After all, isn’t that why I spent the money to buy this

It happened again. The new update in Jan, 2025 dropped the connect 2 from my devices and I cannot reconnect it. I can occasionally get it to connect, but then it drops and I get a ghost image saying it is “Not Connected.” I am certain that Sonos is pushing people to buy other newer devices because it is ALWAYS an update that knocks the Connect 2 device out of the group. A new device is EXPENSIVE so please Sonos, do the right thing and continue support of your older compatible devices.

Hi,What's the best way to adapt my coax output from my Tv to the HDMI earc input of the Beam gen2 and still get good sound quality from my soundbar?Any suggestions on the product I should get? Thank you

I’ve been fighting this issue ever since the SONOS App update. Right now I get “Access Denied” when trying to access my 2TB Samsung SSD attached to my TP-Link Router.  I can copy and move all the files from my MacBook and Windows 11 system BUT SONOS will NOT play the files giving “access Denied.”  I tried to set up rights from the Windows system since  the SONOS app has one feature not on the MacBook.  Today I decided to take a bigger hammer to the problem and connect the SSD directly to the Macbook, NO FILE FOLDERS displayed?  Now I’m wondering what would be the best Disk Format for that SSD to get the Music Library online.  Any suggestions welcomed The MacBook Version of the app : No “Fix Permissions” option The Windows Version of the app.  Should it really fix the permissions?

Hi,I’ve been using SONOS for more than 10 years. Initially, I’d chosen this system after a very careful selection, for its simplicity and efficiency.I know I am far from being the only one complaining now, as the system and app came through many updates, and grew bigger and bolder… and less and less reliable and slower.This is a last call to the SONOS team, management and developers, from an anonymous user, being part of the many anonymous users that make the SONOS community. Please… please stop making the system and app more complex, and go back to simplicity and efficiency. Please be reasonable… only a few options, that’s it. You know which ones are important (all feedback you get focuses on the same essentials).An App which takes 10 seconds to connnect to a speaker, or sometimes does not actuates anything anymore… is useless. Users don’t pay for zillions options. They want it to work. Loud and clear.I hope this message in a bottle will be heard.

Ive had an Arc, Gen 3 Sub and a pair of Ones as my rear for surround.  I recently bought a pair of era 100’s to add as fronts (thus finally have living room surrounded all around), but they’re adding separately as stereo and don’t play with the existing setup.  Apparently I’m a moron with this App. Do I need to delete my setup and start over with all speakers?? 

App keeps asking me to sign out and back in as master owner just trying to add a speaker

I am building a master bedroom suite with a small home theater area.  I would like to use in wall speakers and Sonos Amps and a subwoofer for the system.  However, I understand the Sonos Ace headphones will not work with the Sonos Amp.  Is there a plan to upgrade the Sonos Amp in the near future to be compatible with the Ace?  If so, I could proceed as planned and just switch out one of the Amps to the newer model when it becomes available.

I have found several threads about the Sonos app not working on Xiaomi phones, but I do not see a solution to the problem, apart from using the equipment via the website. In marketing information, user manuals and other warnings before purchase there is no information that the application does not work with a specific phone or even an entire line, brand of phones. So I have a question, is anything happening about repairing this problem or should I return the equipment as non-compliant with the terms of the purchase agreement, because there is no chance of repairing this problem!!!???

I have 3 Sonos devices: Move, One, and Roam. I previously used a tp-link router, no major issues. But this weekend I upgraded to asus rt-be86u (which is wifi7 but only has 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands). i have 35+ devices that connected seamlessly to the new router, including the Sonos One and the Roam.  However, the Move did not connect. Factory reset Move and attempted to re-add to my existing system. Sonos app (new one) discovers the Move, goes through process of adding it, but gets hung up where it is connecting to the router’s WiFi network. reset modem as well. No luck. searched online this forum for help/ideas, tried several, including ensuring airtime fairness was disabled on both 2.4 and 5ghz band, turning off internet access for all devices through parental controls, etc. updated app, iOS, etc. tried using a different device to set up (iPad instead of iPhone 16). Tried connecting to a legacy IoT network that I s

i have the exact same problem, need to adjust slider to “ wake “ the speaker, music are all fine, but when i go idle, i have to do the steps above to wake it 

I can’t control the volume on the playbar with my Samsung TV RF remote control. The TV is connected to the Playbar with the optical cable. Is it because it can’t be don with a RF remote control or is there anything else to do? Thanks for your help 🙏 Best regards Thomas 

There we go again…after some weeks of being kinda able to use the system.. ( something went wrong still did frequently appear ) last week update ruined to volume completely.  Sonos you really used all my patience.  after seven months you are still not able to deliver an reliable user friendly app.   

Please add the ability to park a queue. Currently the only way to do it is to transfer the queue to another sonos player and pause, play something else, and then transfer it back. Such a hack for a professional system. The use case here is let's say you are playing a playlist but someone has a request for a different genre. Ideally you would park the playlist, play however many songs of different genre or a different playlist, and then unpack the playlist. Obviously it would be best if you could park and unpark different named playlists but even ability to do one would be a great leap for mankind. It could be implemented in the playlist itself via a third option to play, and shuffle. I.e: resume.. so each playlist remembers the last song in the queue played and has capability to resume from there.

I’ve been a sonos customer for years and been effected by the kamikaze effect of the software upgrades, and all though well intended, the platform has been destroyed. If anyone buys a sonos product they are nuts. It’s gone from the best to the worst in the market and i have a house full of this s*** now. It can’t even play music without the volume cutting out the user experience is atrocious.
