Okay, so I bought an Arc and gen3 sub about 2 years ago, primarily as for movies tv etc. Always been happy with it until I recently switched to iPhone from Android.

no matter what I try, my iPhone will not airplay to the arc directly from Apple Music or YouTube music. It shows the arc in the airplay list but attempting to connect gives a “cannot connect to arc” error.

i can play audio from both apps when used within the Sonos app but let’s be honest, the UI blows so not ideal.

i can also airplay to my tv and play through the arc since it’s my tvs primary audio setup.

i have an old Sonos one in the office at work and that streams audio great via airplay, yet I spent a bomb on the arc and sub and can’t even get a connection on my iPhone. Tried resetting everything, even the router but no bueno.

Given that you’ve rebooted the Arc, your router, and the iPhone, I think I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. But don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
