Check the TV audio settings, it is likely sending Stereo 2.0 instead of DD 5.1. The Sonos app will tell you what format the TV is sending the Beam.

Thank you for that, it appears it is did 5.1 and the beam sounds fine but don’t get the surround sound I used to get with other system?

Disable Night Sound if you want to hear the full dynamic range of the audio track.

Also, if the Sky Glass TV has a Passthrough option, choose this instead of Auto.

Thank you for this, it’s really improved the sound from the beam and I can hear the surround speakers too, I will see if they play a home theatre sound when we next watch a film, thanks again 

I hardly get surround sound, with my previous Sonos soundbar and surrounds on my old tv worked brilliantly, the surround sound was so good it made us jump at times or wonder where the sound was coming from before we realised it was the speakers 

This new set up on Sky glass just doesn’t work

Is it not compatible with Sky glass? 

Have you adjusted the Surround Audio levels in the Sonos app?
