Unable to Sync Sonos Arc Soundbar to Moto Motion Audio Sofa & Recliner

I have an entertainment system with the specs below, which I’m trying to use the “Monster Bluetooth 2-in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter” to connect the entertainment system to our Moto Motion Audio Sofa and Recliner via Bluetooth.

I can get the Samsung TV (native mode) to play through the Moto Motion by connecting to it via Bluetooth, but I’m unable to play through the Nvidia Shield / Sonos Arc Soundbar. The Nvidia has all our media apps.

I was thinking if I could make the Sonos Arc accessible via Bluetooth, I might be able to get this to work.

Any thoughts and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Regards,

Julio

Entertainment System Specs:

Samsung TV (UN75MU800DF) - doesn’t support two different audio out options like some of the newer models

Nvidia Shield (2019)

ARCANA (eARC adapter)

Samsung TV Connection Box (HDMI, digital optical output, etc)

Monster Bluetooth 2 in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter (mba9-1011-blk) - NEW DEVICE

Do you have another sound output on your TV that remains active when using the eARC output to the soundbar?

I’ve seen stuff here on using HDMI “audio extractors” but have no clue about them, try the search and see if they might help.

UPDATE

The Monster Bluetooth 2-in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter (mba9-1011-blk) has a digital optical input. The Samsung TV Connection Box has a digital optical output. I’ve tried to use this connection, but the Samsung TV only supports a single audio option. The Sonos Arc is dependent on a HDMI connection. However, if I could enable Bluetooth connectivity on the Sonos Arc, I believe I could connect to it from the Monster Bluetooth 2-in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter. This should allow me to connect the Moto Motion Audio Sofa and Recliner via Bluetooth to the Sonos Arc.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions to get this to work? Thank you

The bluetooth on the Arc is a receiver, not a transmitter. You cannot send signal from the Arc, only to the Arc. The NVidia Shield is bluetooth capable, but I'm not sure it will transmit sound if the TV is connected via HDMI.

@106rallye thank you for your response. If you had this setup, what would you recommend to accomplish what I’m trying to do? Thanks for your help

@Stanley_4  with our 2019 Samsung TV, you can only select a single audio output option.

I will definitely search for that. Thank you

I’d try if the Shield can put out a Bluetooth sound signal while being connected via HDMI.

Unfortunately, the Nvidia Shield 2019 cannot output audio to both Bluetooth and HDMI simultaneously. The device can only send audio through one output channel at a time.

However, you can switch between the two outputs as needed. For example, you can use HDMI for high-quality audio through your soundbar and switch to Bluetooth when you want to use wireless headphones.

@Stanley_4

I just wanted to let you know that the HDMI Extractor fixed the problem I was having. Thank you for the suggestion.

@Jules55 could you please explain your setup to me?  I’m trying to do the same thing with my Sonos Arc and MotoMotion couch.
