Have an old Play:5 that I control using the S1 app from my iPhone SE3 (latest version 11.5.2).

My wife would like to be able to control it from her phone too, so we installed the latest Sonos S1 app on her iPhone 16.

No matter what I’ve tried, the app on her phone cannot find the Play:5, despite my phone seeing it fine.

Tried all the usual stuff re-installing, double checking we are all on the same wifi network etc. But nothing. Seems really strange, what’s going on?

Make sure “local network” permission is granted to the S1 app on her phone.

Yep should have said in my original post, I had already checked this.

Make sure there’s no company-style VPN on her phone (eg installed via MDM). That’s the other common reason for no-devices-on-iOS.

There isn’t… it’s just a normal personal phone

Guess there’s no fix then. Just randomly doesn’t work. Oh well.

Try my app “Phonos Plus” on her phone, will determine if its a phone problem, or a Sonos app problem.
