Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello Sonos!  Not a question but can’t find where to post suggestions for the app.  Please bring back the ability to tap the volume slider for quick access to EQ settings 🙏 // Björn

Why, just why? I play white noise loudly on my Sonos play 3 speaker and at random points it forgos me playing it on a loop in the app and instead switches to playing whatever I had playing on my Spotify app, just as loud waking me up for a while. I don’t use the Spotify app to play music to my Sonos speaker EVER. I even tried to test things and I can’t even if i tried, does not play music from Spotify. Just randomly through the night it’ll completely switch controlling apps, then forgets how it does it when I try manually. What garbage software would even cause this please fix asap. And don’t suggest my wifi connection is the problem like every other thread on here, idc it still shouldn’t blast music from other apps.

I have the AWOL LTV-3500 Pro Free 100''-120" AWOL Vision Acoustic ALR Floor Rising Screen Bundle. I have the LTV-3500 projector connected vis eARC on HDMI 2 to my Sonos Arc soundbar. It works great.I’ve recently added some theater seating that comes equipped with SoundShaker Amplifier Kit. The SoundShaker transceiver can only take input from RCA (L&R) jacks.Can anyone recommend an HDMI splitter and convert HDMI to RCA and still support eARC?

This is so incredibly frustrating. I have had several support chat and phone calls with Sonos. I have submitted so many diagnostics just after it has happened and the support agents are never able to provide me an answer. I was told during my last support call that an update will be available to address the issue however it literally just happened again. I’m getting very tired of watching tv with my wife only to have the you know what scared out of us from my Arc sounding like it just exploded.Support’s proposed solution to me was RMA my Arc that I purchased brand new and been having this issue since I installed it. I asked if I would be guaranteed another brand new Arc in return and was told that could not be guaranteed and there would be a strong likelihood that I receive a refurbished arc. So essentially I’d trading my never worked correctly since day 1 brand new Arc for a used one after having paid full retail price. Theres gotta be something better. I’m still in the orig

Why is Spacial Audio - Head Tracking grayed out.  This is while connected to Apple iPhone 15.  App & Ace updated today. 

I love the sound of my Sonos system, but !  I have eleven speakers and two Connect devices.  They are all up to date as is the software.  Some speakers are somewhat elderly !The speakers are always on and I use the Sonos not only for music but for the radio as well.  They are never turned off.I have been having lots of unreliability issues; Speakers disconnecting, being out of sync, the Android app not finding the system etc  This was making the system almost unusable.I finally called Sonos Technical support.  After sending a system diagnostic report the very helpful person said the memory in the speakers was full and that was the issue.The solution, reboot every speaker !That would be easy with only a couple of speakers but mine are all over the house.  Some are tucked away in corners above cupboards etc.  They have their own power cables hidden from view so not an easy task.  I decided the easiest way was to power off the whole ho

Frequently my Play speaker pair show that they are connected and playing, but there is no sound and the volume control isn’t working. This is sporadic and not constant. I’ve tried toggling the volume control on and off (it’s off). The wifi connection is good. I'm using the app from my iPhone.Moderator Edit - Removed image showing serial numbers.

I used to have several Sonos speakers and a Sonos bar, but when they all quit working after the upgrade I gave them away. I kept one Sonos 1. I can stream to it, but nothing I try gets it to connect to my music library. I used to love this system. It used to work flawlessly. I swore off of it, but I keep checking back because I miss it. I’ve tried the suggestions that I’ve read here...nope. I’ve watched it indexing for more than 10 hours...nope. Why on earth would I buy new Sonos speakers knowing that they will not work a few years down the road. I can stream my music library through decent desktop speaker. The sound quality is inferior to Sonos, but they work with no headaches. I’ll keep checking back to see if Sonos has fixed their product.

My setup: Velarion Projector Pro 2 - 40ft fiber optical HDMI cable - Sonos Arc/Sonos Arc UltraThe Ultra has a problem that the sound is stopped intermittently. see the video: Meanwhile, the original Sonos Arc has no problem, see the video: Those videos are playing when eARC is disabled from projector. If eARC is on, no sound at all, even from the original Arc.Used a copper 40ft HDMI cable, no sound at all. I had to change to optical HDMI cable.Have been playing a lot with settings in the projector, still in vain.I need to use the Ultra. What should I do?Any suggestions? Thanks

I literally can’t use the app, this stupid modal dialog blocks me from doing anything - even if some products aren’t updated, you shouldn’t need to prevent all other products from being used. Please god stop updating the app, I just want to use my crappy thousand dollar speakers - idgaf about quality anymore, just need this to work 

I was considering purchasing a second hand Playbar as a soundbar for my TV. I have Virgin 360. The Playbar I'm looking at doesn't come with a remote.  Is it possible to buy a replacement or can I program the Virgin remote to control the volume? 

I have a stereo pair of Ones with a Sub Gen 3, and another stereo pair of Ones on the other side of the same room (Room is approx 8m square). These are grouped together to play as a single room, which on the whole is good enough. Voice control via Sonos is disabled (all microphones are set to off) as it was terrible, but we have an Amazon Echo Dot which is set to play music on the Sonos group as its default speakers. Problem is that when manually starting a new track for this group from the Sonos app (or any other music app that supports casting, E.g Amazon Music, Plex) the track starts ok then about 1-2 seconds after starting the volume dips by about 50% for 5-10s before returning to selected level. This also happens when a new track starts via Alexa voice command from the Echo Dot. Also happens in other rooms where we also have pairs of Ones, given that these are the common element I'm inclined to think they're to blame. The displayed volume level doesn't appear to c

I used to listen to music all the time on my Sonos using Spotify, but suddenly it doesn’t work anymore?  The speaker works as I can use Apple Music but when I try and connect Spotify it just says ‘connecting…’ for like 5-10 seconds and then just… stops trying and keeps playing on my phone?  Has anyone met this issue before?

The app is not working with my Sonos Era 300, No product found

Hello everyone,in my Sonos app on my Windows computer under “select a music source” I have both “music library” and also “sonos playlists”. available. I have two questions, which I hope can be addressed.The sonos playlist folder shows all of my music whereas the music library shows most but not all of my music.  Why might that be ? The Sonos app on my Ipad just shows the music library but not the sonos playlists folder. Why might that be ? Any help would be much appreciatedModerator edit: changed “the” to “not” at request

So I own 2 KEF Q550's and a Sonos AMP + Sub Gen 4. The sub seems to have a slight (obvious?) delay due to being connected via wifi. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?I know having only Sonos speakers would probably fix it but i'm not in a financial position to upgrade everything to sonos (and weirdly enough, people tell me the KEF's give a better sound were I to replace them for a Arc Ultra?) Overall I'm very happy with the AMP and Sub.Thanks!

I'm looking to have music in my bathroom and exploring my options. The challenge is that the electrical socket in the bathroom loses power whenever I turn off the bathroom light. 🙄I want the music to play continuously, so it's ready the moment I step into the bathroom.I'm considering the Roam 2 speaker since it can run on battery. My idea is to keep it plugged in all the time. This way, when the lights (and power) are on, the speaker will charge, and when the lights are off, it can continue playing music using its battery.Does this setup make sense? Will the Roam 2 keep playing music seamlessly as the power from the socket turns off, provided it has a charged battery?I would be grateful for any help from someone who knows his/her way around Roam 2.Best,V

I’m finding that I can view alarms in the new app but any edits to them don’t save, they can’t be deleted and new ones created also don’t save. Basically editing in the app doesn’t work at all. The only way I can edit alarms is via the Mac desktop app, any changes made here immediately show up in the mobile app its just editing in the app that doesn’t work. Is this a known bug?

After multiple threads (since closed) the app still defaults to the wrong room when it's started.  Yes, I have a den and yes I occasionally play music in it.  But 99 times out of a hundred I listen in the living room.   App starts  up showing den even if music is on in living room.  I've renamed the rooms, deleted and reinstalled the app.  No avail.  I get why the CEO got ousted - he should be.  Hopefully Conrad can return the Sonos app to a user friendly, intuitive and working piece of software.Rant aside - if somebody has a fix I will humbly use it and apologize.  

I own 2 Sonos Fives placed beneath my TV on either side of my record player and 3 Sonos One SL's placed in other nearby areas. I was previously running a 3.5mm audio cord from my TV to my Sonos Five and switching between TV and record player in the app. I recently upgraded my TV to a 4k tv that supports Dolby Atmos and does not have a 3.5mm output (only HDMI)I’m wondering if there is a way I can keep my current speaker system to both listen to music and watch movies or do I need to purchase a sound bar? I have looked at the Amp but that seems to be for someone with existing speakers that are not Sonos brand. Any help is appreciated - thanks!

I am setting up my new Sonos Five and use Deezer as my streaming service. Using the Sonos app I click add, choose, Deezer, I have an account but doesn't ask for my Deezer login details?Instead it says 'please authorise Sonos to use your Deezer account'. The authorise button appears and when you press it it simply opens my Deezer app and there is nowhere to 'authorise'  Please help?! Thanks 

One of the main uses of Sonos for me is being woken up by Radio. It plays in my whole flat, and I can go from my bedroom into the kitchen, feed the cats, wander into the shower all the time being lulled by Radio 4 (UK talk radio news etc). But recently, I am now conditioned to the Sonos Donkey (Chime?!) and am woken by Eeyore eeyore - eeoyre; eeyore - eeeevery morning.I have re-booted my router.Yes, grouped rooms is checked - but none of them workI have rebooted my iPhone.I have rebooted the speakers.I have tried Spotify, Sound Cloud, different radio stations - I still get the donkeyI am not interested in anyone talking about ‘connection issues’ I have a 50 sq m flat, and the minute I grab my phone and turn off the donkey and ask it to play Radio 4 it starts no problem. My next step is to erase the whole system and start again. I find that ridiculous having invested so much in this system. Does anyone have any ideas?
