Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi, wondering if mounted on the wall above sofa or opposite sofa is best?  No TV involved, just want to be able to play music and not have them on side tables.  Pics for reference!   

My Sonos Move has stopped playing music. I have a LG OLED55C44 TV and SONOS Beam (Gen 2) connected via HDMI ARC Port. No other speakers in the setup.When listening to live TV programmes ( BBC News ) there is a background noise which sounds like the air conditioning is on high in the studio. It is the  same if I use iPlayer via Sky Stream, or via the app on the TVStreaming via Netflix or other pre-recorded BBC programmes the sound is clear and Dolby ATMOS works.On the TV I am not offered any advanced settings as the TV is set for sound out via HDMI/ARC port.Any ideas?Regards,David

I have been waiting for over 45 min for support (chat) after waiting for over 30 minutes trying to call Sonos. Why not help customers within a reasonable timeframe to make sure one would recommend Sonos, buy products again and shout its products from the rooftops? Who knows this community is able to help me out! I cannot use my Sonos Roam / not connect the Sonos Roam; the Roam is not recognized by my iPhone nor Macbook.I charged multiple times with two (10V) chargers, to be sure it wasn’t the charger that caused problems; After plugging a charger the orange light does shine for a few seconds and the white light on top starts flashing; Pressing the on off button does not cause anything; no sound, no difference in flashing lights; Pressing the play button long results in the top light flashing white and orange, as described in the support article, but no matter how long I press and wait, the light does not turn green; the WiFi is working. I uninstalled the apps on both my Iphone and Macb

What happened you guys? My repeat button is gone. I am trying to play from ‘music library.’ I am on iOS build 80.09.09 which was released in the last few days with the only notes being ‘fixed bugs.’

The app on the iphone and ipad do not show the same information. I’ll have a few speakers playing music from the iphone app, but when i go to the ipad app, it shows the same speakers but with nothing playing. Both apps are updated as of today.

I have an ARC and a set of Era 100’s.   I am considering Era 300’s or the ARC Ultra.   Will I get better results with upgrading the 100’s to the 300’s or keeping the 100’s and moving from the ARC to the ARC Ultra?  Which will give me the biggest bang for my buck?  I will only be able to upgrade to one of these. 

The app randomly is signing me out. Anyone else have this issue?

I installed my Sonos system 2 days ago and I add the Plex service. Plex remote access is working properly. I could play my Plex flac files whithin Sonos app immediatelly. Yesterday I ripped some new CDs and I added them to Plex. I could play the flac files from Plexamp to Sonos devices but from the Sonos app I can see all the files but when I add them to the queue I receive the messase "I can't play - song name - Plex connection server lost. The flac files added originally could still play within Sonos app. I tried many things that I read online... suddenly after activate/disactivate the Plex remote connection, the new files where available also in the Sonos app. Today I added new files to Plex and again I can't play them within Sonos app but only from Plexamp to Sonos... I read everything about this subject, the situation is very weird, does anybody have an idea? To me looks like a Sonos bug.

Hi, I have a S1 system, with several music services added to it.I got a new S2 player and added it to the same account.How do I copy over services (user/pass) which were cofigured on S1 over onto S2? I kinda expected this to get automagically populated...

My new arc ultra has anvannoying problem that did not occur on the sonos amp it replaced: whenever the tv switches audio format (say, from dd 2.0 to dd 5.1) the soundbar goes silent. Occurs 80% of the times more frequent on apple tv) and makes the whole experience a nightmare. My tv is correctly set up to passthrough audio. Only workaround seems to force audio to pcm, which is of course not a solution. My tv is a sony bravia a8g, an older (but great) model with no earc.Is there any hope? Went through troubleshooting with customer service  but no luck so far.

ARC, sub and surrounds aren’t connecting to the TV audio when I start up.  If I unplug the tv and/or the ARC the system reboots and works but this happens 2 out of every 3 times I start the TV and is a huge annoyance.  The TV and ARC are plugged into the wall behind the wall mounted TV so unplugging them isn’t easy.  I need an easier solution, like the Sonos working every time without intervention. Looking for help from the community as I sit on hold with Sonos support.

I have had a Move Wall Hook for a few years now.  I wouldn’t say it gets a huge amount of use but it’s mounted in our bathroom and is good when having a relaxing bath. However on Christmas Eve and after 30 mins of being on the wall hook, the front face of the wall hook detached and my Move Gen 1 dropped from a height of 5ft on to a tiled floor.😭Needless to say, this hasn’t enhanced the aesthetics of my Move! If any of you have a Move Wall Hook, I’d be very wary of using it! 

I have a new Sonos Roam 2 speaker which I have connected to my Sony KD-43X800H TV via Wi-Fi, but the sound breaks up intermittently.I wish to try connecting the speaker to the TV using Bluetooth; however, my TV doesn’t have the A2DP multimedia profile which I understand is necessary for this connection.I am looking for an intermediary device to enable this Bluetooth connection to work.I hope someone has the answer!

I recently deleted and re installed my music library in the hope that album artwork would return (it hasn’t, I assume this has not been corrected in the new app yet). The music is stored on NAS and the folder was added successfully.However when I look in album view there are now multiple instances of some titles, some which appear to have no tracks attached. When you look in artist or search by album title or artist the tracks are there although some have missing tracks or tracks out of order or in some instances the wrong track plays!I tried a clean install, deleting the app, reseting both sonos ones and reinstalling the library, same results on the same album titles!I have a raspberry pi based music player running moode and it indexes the library with no issues!Any tips would be appreciated.

I don't seem to be able to get anything other than lossless in Apple music when listening with my Sonos ace. Settings are set for spatial but is there something else I need to do? Thanks 

I have had a Sonos Ray for about a year, it was fine initially but there’s been the odd occasion this crackling noise starts but I’ve never called up about because it will resolve itself for months then come back. Recently it’s coming up when I log into Netflix, I’m disappointed and was close to buying other Sonos products but it’s put me off, is this a common fault? It also disconnects from my Wi fi on occasion too.

Hello, I wonder if someone could help me understand if my home cinema setup below  could work. I have an older projector (infocus sp8600) which i connected to my macbook pro m1 2020 via usbc->hdmi cable. This takes care of the visual only. The question is about connecting the Sonos speakers to my macbook pro M1 2020. I’m looking two option to buy from Sonos. Option A: a Sonos Beam 2nd gen and a Sonos Sub mini.  Can i use airplay to output the sound from my MacBook to the Beam or i need to use a usb-c to hdmi cable with the hdmi optical adapter that comes with the Beam? Option B: 2x Era 100 speakers plus a Sub mini. As the Era 100 have Bluetooth i assume i could connect the MacBook to the Era that way? But I’m unsure if i it would work to just connect to one of the Era 100 by bluetooth and the second Era 100 plus the Sub would then pick up the sound from the Era that is connected to the MacBook? Or i could use airplay? Or would need a usbc - > hdmi and hdmi to optical adapter to c

My husband and I have been happy Sonos users since the early days of ZoneBridges and ZonePlayers.  But suddenly, two days ago, our playback from Amazon Music Unlimited has become unusable.  Songs are starting and then stopping and skipped.  It eventually starts the next song in the queue or station, but the issue continues.  A quick Google shows that this is an issue for many.I have checked all my connections (wired to my One and Amp) and everything is normal.  My internet is stable and fast.  I rebooted every device.  I deauthorized and reauthorize Amazon Music in the Sonos app, but no improvement.As a test, I signed up for a trial of Spotify and it works flawlessly as does a streaming radio station we also listen to.  And Amazon Music plays just fine if we stream from our phones to a separate Bluetooth speaker.  This issue seems to be Amazon specific using Sonos.Has anyone determined what is going on and what a solution is?  I hate to have to tell Jeff Bezos that he will soon be losi

I have a Samsung frame tv connected via HDMI ARC to my Sonos beam (Living Room). There’s a sub link and 6 other speakers (5 era 100’s and 2 roam SL’s). The sub mini is plugged by Ethernet directly into our router. All are correctly connected to the network and all play music together but when the TV line-in kicks in, the sound only plays through the beam even though it shows all speakers should be playing sound. I’m stumped on how to fix this!

This post applies mainly to ASUS routers that incorporate AiMesh setup; but may be applicable to other brands. I have three (3) Asus ZenWiFi Pro ET12 WiFi 6 routers configured in AiMesh via wired backhaul.I’ve seen posts indicating that WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 routers lend connectivity issues with Sonos. It’s been recommended to disable the WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 bands. As you can see from the screenshot below I have all three (3) bands active. I have WiFi 6 Apple products that use the WiFi 6 GHz including this iPad Pro 13 inch I’m currently using to pen this post. I have devices (cameras, Alexa & Google, TV’s, Apple TV’s, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, lights_ Phillips Hue & Wiz, security system, Android tablet, Apple cell phones, tablets & computers, HVAC system and 31 Sonos products) that use 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and as mentioned the 6Ghz band. The difference that allows my network to have consistent connectivity for all my devices is as follows:Asus Smart Connect is disabled Al

Upgraded my Arc to an Ultra. It’s part of a setup with Eras 300 surrounds and a sub 3. I also have a Sub 4 still boxed new and currently unused.  My first setup I had the ultra wired and everything else WifI and for no sub response. Resetting everything and trying with an ultra on WiFi as well for the sub working but it seems noticeably weaker.  the inception soundtrack no longer shakes the room and it seems like the ultra is carrying 90% of the bass and the sub is running like 10%. Anyway to fix this, the sub3 seems to be barely working?

Hallo, ik heb een Sateliet encoder van Canal+ verbonden met mijn Samsung smart tv via de HDMI input op de one connectbox. Het geluid gaat via de HDMI ARC naar de Beam gen 2 en dat werkt goed.Nu heb ik onlangs een tweede Samsung smart tv gekocht. Ik heb geprobeerd om het signaal te splitsen voordat het naar de one connectbox gaat en dat aan te bieden via de HDMI ARC op de tweede tv. Dit werkt zolang beide tv’s aanstaan. Wel identificeert hij zich dan als de sonosbeam. Zet ik de tweede tv uit dan krijg ik geluidsproblemen.  Het geluid wordt een paar seconde harder dan weer een paar seconde zachter.Mijn vraag is simpel.
