Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Ok,I have had this issue since the app was changed. I stopped thinking about it for the last 5 months.  I’m hoping that it has been fixed in that time.  I use an imac and my music library is on an external hard drive attached to it.I have followed and rechecked the steps in the current support page to connect to my music library and it does not work.  Surely there is a fix by now.Even the online app is a fail.  It can see my music library but it wont search it.  Useless.The old Sonos controller macosx app works but then I am denied permission to play my own music.Please help.

This is so frustrating.  Amazon music's ultra HD sound quality is supported by my Sonos system.  However, connecting to amazon music is unusable.  I mean, Spotify is clunky but at least it works.  Amazon I can't even get it to work. Is this a thing?  Or just me? 

I have tried multiple times to tune Trueplay on one of my Sonos Ones. I have 6 Sonos Ones and only one of them will not save. I go through the process and each time it says it completed successfully. I go back to the Trueplay menu and there is no Trueplay Tuning on/off switch or an option to Retune. The only option is Trueplay Tuning (again). All of my other 5 Sonos Ones Trueplay just fine. It’s this single speaker that will not. I’ve tried unplugging it and even relocating it. Nothing works. Please help. 

I am looking for the best advice on mounting the era 300s. I am not sure if wall mounting or stand would be best. Our couch backs up to the open kitchen and is about 42 inches high. The top wall is about 5 feet from the couch. I am debating on mounting on the pillar(blue dot) and then mount on the wall by the window or the little pillar next to it. If I put the stands behind the couch you can see them in the kitchen. Was also debating on make a small table to fit behind couch but not sure.  the pillar is solid but because the couch cushion is all I can run the wire in a case and paint it to match for the 6 inches that will be visible  any advice is wanted and helpful   

Hello - I need to setup a sub outdoors….  No options from Sonos…   My issue question is connecting the Sonos Sub Out (RCA) to the Sub’s amp.  When looking for an amp, they ALL seem to have an input for Left and Right RCA.  How do I connect the single Sonos Amp RCA output to Left and Right RCA inputs?  Splitter?  Connect to one of the two inputs?    Thanks!

My beam randomly disconnects when playing any of the music downloads including Sonos Radio. Does not disconnect when watching TV. Have tried all troubleshooting instructions but still happens

I have tried everything with my Wi-Fi and my streaming services and cannot consistently get my arc and my two  era 100 speakers to play music at the same time without problems or cutting out. I have the best Wi-Fi and even tried using an extender. I've also tried repositioning my ERA speakers.Except for the arc playing my TV sound, Sonos has been a total absolute disappointment. 

I have a pair of Bose 901 series 3 from ~1974. They are in great shape, although I need to test them.I’m a Sonos user for all my running audio around the house.  My plan to utilize the Bose would be to use a Sonos Port for the incoming signal, run the output thru the Bose equalizer, and then get a suitable amplifier to power the Bose speakers with the signal out of the equalizer.I’m drawing a conclusion that I can’t use the equalizer to adjust the signal out of the Sonos AMP.Thoughts?

On android phone, remove sub mini and the music library works. Add the sub mini back in and no music library.Why oh why.

I have Ray and Sony TV. The volume level keeps getting out of sync. For example, press Volume Up and TV will display, say, 40 but actual volume will be low.The degree of syn changes if I take volume down to zero (i.e. shows zero on the screen) then taqke volume up again.example today …Vol Up … TV shows ~40 but volume relative lowPress Vol Down until screen shows zero … actual volume about zero at this stagePress Vol Up … volume rapidly increases - screen shows about 24 but actual volume far higher than the “40” I had 60 seconds earlier. Any ideas how to synchronise these?I also have an Arc on different TV and it doesn’t have this problem. Also … Bluetooth turned Off (found that on another post)

I have an ARC and two SONOS One SL. After SONOS One SL power down/up the communication is lost and the systems does not work. I have to reset the two SONOS One with a tedious process. Do I have fault hardware or is the SONSO Software basically bad? I am expecting that the app will know the configuration, will know to use the selected WIFI network and will program the devices and the surround sound without any user intervention. Is this too much to demand?  

I had a split system. on S1 app was two ZP 100.on S2 app was playbar, an two one’si updated WiFi network and created S1 as above then set up S2 as above. when I went back to use S1 system all components have disappeared and S1 now says all components can use S2. where have my S1 components gone?can I get S1 working again or will I have to downgrade S2 components to S1 set up as S1 then split system again?if the latter what a pain and mess up!

Hello! Recently, the iOS app stopped making it easy to play music at the same level on every speaker in every room.  Until a few weeks ago, I would select all speakers, drag the volume slider for everywhere down to zero, and then back up to where I wanted it for my music. Now, individual speakers remember how much higher they were set and none of the numbers align. Is this a bug? Intentional? 

In the latest iOS app (80.17.14), the entire ‘Security & Privacy’ section is gone from account settings. This is where the ‘Personalization Services’ section used to be. There is now no way to disable listening history or prevent your data from being captured. Does anyone know what the hell happened? BEFORE  AFTER  

I've read plenty of posts experiencing the same as me. Dropouts for a split second streaming music to Move 2. The solution for me on Samsung Android is to go into developer settings and change to SBC from AAC. I usually get at least one dropout every 5 mins. Now I've not had any in 20 hours. I was on the brink of returning the unit but now I'll keep it. Hopefully this will help some in the community

I’m part-way through moving my sonos speakers to a new vlan and wireless network which meant resetting the Play 1s and part way through the app updates to the latest version. I wish I hadn’t.Using 80.17.09-release+20250220.d797378 on Android I now can’t add a speaker or create a stereo pair. When I click the cog (top right) no matter which button I press in the Settings screen, the whole app locks up completely. I have no choice but to close it.I’ve restarted my phone, cleared the app’s cache, restarted every other working speaker which is in my Sonos setup but nothing helps.I also noticed that when the Sonos app is minimised and I maximise it, it kind of judders rather than being a smooth transition.Does anyone have any hints as to what I can try to get speakers added and a stereo pair created with the latest Android app? thanks  

Hello, I’m trying to summarize the problems with the music library, at least as far as I’m concerned.I’ll describe my scenario: QNAP NAS with a library of about 17,000 files, organized into folders by artist. I use SMB protocol v2 and v3. I have 2 SONOS Play1, 1 Play 5, and a soundbar + SUB. I’m using the new Android app.The issues I’ve encountered with the library, which frustrate me quite a bit since I purchased SONOS years ago specifically for managing the internal music library, are as follows:- When I start a playlist (for example, of 300 songs), the queue populates with 64,000 tracks, repeating the playlist in a loop.- In the alarm configuration, it’s no longer possible to set a playlist, only the buzzer or external services (spodify, sonos radio, ecc...)- Difficulty adding songs to the queue.- Cannot play music from an entire folder (selecting music library - folders).- Cannot find podcasts on Spotify.- Radio stations often do not start.- The status light on the devices remains

I am at wits end, two hrs on phone with support and they still do not understand the issue I have a number of sonos units, port unit wired to home network, other Play:5 (Gen 1) S1 devicesThe play 5 units cannot access music on my local library . It seems it happened after a recent firmware update. I’ve used wireshark to trace the issue. Looks like the firmware in the S1 units do not send a proper filename/path to the smb server. See screenshots of the traffic to the one unit that works and the Play5 that does not work. Hope this is picked up by support via this channel. Hi, would appreciate your thoughts before buying an Ultra please.I’m looking to stream music from a Synology NAS (DS223j) to the Arc Ultra and then out to 2 pair of Edifier speakers (R1700BTs), where one pair would connect as front left and right and the other pair similarly as the rear speakers.Ideally this would be controlled by Alexa.Is this possible please ?Many thanks.

First, I apologize up front if this has been asked/answered in other threads.  I have done searches but nothing directly comes up for my questions that I have found. I currently have a great room and purchased an Arc Ultra soundbar (in use with latest generation Samsung Frame TV connected via HDMI/ARC) in the Living Room space.  It sounds great, but obviously on the other end of the room you really have to turn that soundbar up loud to hear it, which becomes uncomfortable if in the Living Room space.  Was thinking of adding Sonos ceiling architectural speakers into that area (the kitchen) to keep sound levels reasonable.  However I am learning about the latency that will become an issue.  It seems like there is a creative way to solve this issue, and am trying to figure that out.Some options I am considering:HDMI/ARC Splitter or distributor - What if I send the same signal from the Frame tv to both the soundbar and the Sonos amp driving the ceiling speakers via a splitter.  Could this

The folder address is WORK/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/MusicI followed the different Sonos and community tutorials. To add my files, I still have an error 913. However, I followed the tutorial and activated file sharing and set the rights on the shared folder WORK.Then I entered the line //volumes/WORK/Musique/iTunes/iTunes Media/MusicNothing to do: error 913Thank you for your answers!

Do someone know how to make sonos works with startlink.(much better from some dsl providers) and speed really good.- i know starlink says that satelite connections does not work but dsl yes..  i have tested makeing a bypass mode on starlink gen3 router to my own , but this does not help.  apreciate help to sort this issue out .and by the way Denon home works perfectly well with starlink.. 

Hello, The Sonos App on Android is no longer functional when it comes to playing Playlists stored in a Synology NAS. We are only able to play one playlist, but we can see the others. We have attempted several remedies, including:Deleting the Music Library path in the app and re-adding it Manually deleting the .m3u files in the NAS, and resyncing them ReindexingThis solved *nothing.* In fact, there are now double listings for the playlists in the app, even though each file is only there once. Has anyone else experience something similar? Please chime in if you have, especially if you have a fix for this issue. And *yes,* we are using SMB 2. on our NAS I apologize if this comes off as frustrated, but frankly this is, on such expensive equipment.
