Like a lot of people in this community, I have been unable to add Spotify family members any Sonos account. I’ve tried https://support.sonos.com/article/use-multiple-accounts-for-the-same-content-service

however this is old and didn’t work. I’ve tried various ways of deleting and reinstalling the Sonos and Spotify apps. Nothing seems to work. Can anybody give me a solution to this really annoying problem. I actually thought my Sonos issues were gone after “The app update”. Everything was getting back on track now this!! Help please.

Hi @WoollyOBE

Welcome to the Sonos Community.

I am sorry to hear of the troubles you have had with adding multiple Spotify accounts to your system.

The instructions on the page you linked to are up-to-date and correct, however.

If you have multiple devices with different Spotify accounts signed into the Spotify apps, you may find it easier to add each account to Sonos using each matched controller, but you should still be able to add multiple accounts from one device.

How exactly is the process going wrong for you? Can you provide screenshots?

Or, you may find it simpler to get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Hi

think you maybe misunderstood my message. I have 1 Spotify account not multiple. It is a family account and I am the principal user. Once I authorise my account to use there is no option to add the further users, this was an option previously. Once they were added all you needed to do was open Spotify on Sonos, then choose the user from the drop down. In regards to the linked doc, there is now no option to select “Your Services” from the Home Screen.  If anyone out there has followed the Sonos instructions to add family members onto the Spotify service on Sonos I’d be grateful to find out how. Looking forward to your response.

@WoollyOBE - On Spotify, have you invited your family members and they each have their own premium account linked to their own email address? You may be the principal account holder but each added family member should have a separate login to Spotify. You can have up to 6 premium accounts under one family plan.

You have to add each of the family members accounts separately to Sonos, using their login details, by going to Account > Content Services > Add Content Service > Select Spotify > Add a new account

Great sounds good. I’ll try that.

This worked, fantastic. It’s not how we set it up originally, however it worked. Many thanks for the assistance.
