having recently had my Roam renewed under a warranty issue , but still not set it up due to being away from home.I am being bombarded with e-mails , how did we do, sign in and get 15% for handing back your old system etc etc Take our survey and get 20% off your next purchaseSo you take the survey , but it says you have put the wrong input in , which I have not ,So cant complete the survey. You then try and contact sonos to tell them its not working and get a return e-mail saying its not monitored??????So why am I doing the bloody survey?I love the products and recommended them to others but have also told them to buy it from a third party retailer with an extended warranty so if anything goes wrong they dont have to deal with the nightmare that is Sonos Direct .
I took delivery of 2 x Era 300’s yesterday to be used as rear speakers with my Beam (Gen 2) and Sub (also Gen 2). I just wanted to provide some early feedback for those who may be interested.Set up was incredibly easy after removing the existing speakers (Play:3’s).Naturally, I wanted to experience some music in Dolby Atmos and I went straight to Amazon Music and Apple music to add some albums to ‘My Sonos’. I realise that the Atmos content will improve over time but as an aside, there wasn’t too much for me to choose from as a ‘Classic Rock/Progressive Rock’ fan. The best sounding albums I have found so far in Atmos are ‘Brothers In Arms’ and ‘Rumours’. Identifying Dolby Atmos albums when searching for an artist’s album is also another story and needs to be improved by the streaming companies. Apple does have a dedicated Atmos section you can access from their app so that’s probably the easiest was of finding Atmos content at the moment. I enjoyed the Atmos mixes of those two albums b
According to the 15.3 update notes..it says performance enhancements…like what? Anyone know? Forget the bug fixes as all updates state this.
Hi, we have been seeing disconnect issues with a four room speaker Sonos Play system. Sonos support have advised that the BT Smart Hub 2 Wi-Fi should be set to Mode 2 which seems to have fixed the issue. You’ll need to logon to the BT Smart Hub 2 as admin to do this. I did this on two separate BT Smart hubs and both got stuck with the saving the change message (usually they save new settings ok). If this happens just wait a few minutes with the saving message displayed and then restart the hub. Then recheck the settings, for both hubs we changed they had stored the new Mode 2 Wi-Fi setting correctly, despite being stuck in save mode.BT info. re. Wi-Fi mode settings:The modes are: Mode 1: Gives you the fullest featured wireless, maximising speed and range. Mode 2: Some devices can sometimes struggle to use the latest wireless features. If you have any devices that can't get a good wireless connection, try using this mode.See the following for more info. What is the wireless mode feature
Instead of buying the Sonos Arc set for my living room, I’m selling my Roams, Plays One and Five. I’ve got a 30% success rate at using the Roam “as intended”.Not acceptable for such an expensive piece of kit. I’ll not be back to Sonos.
I recently noticed that my playlists seemed to be missing on my android phone app. Only a few icons were visible in the playlist category of My Sonos and when I scrolled left no more could be seen. I thought they were gone. I looked on my PC desktop app and all the lists were there. I discovered by accident that if you tap on the “Playlists >” category title in My Sonos on the phone you get a full list of all the playlists. My frustration was assuming there was an icon for each list. Hope this helps some searching for their “missing” playlists.
A question for the moderator(s) of this community: since a couple of days I no longer receive mail when a new answer was added to a discussion I subscribed to. The last mail I received was on March 21, after that nothing. Is this a problem on my side or is it a community/Insided problem? BTW I did check my spambox, no mails there either.
Sonos pushed through an update today and ever since I can not listen to any groups of speakers without the warning that I am using a Wi-Fi range extender and can not listen to any group speakers anymore. Individually they all work, one at a time. I don't have a Wi-Fi extender but do have a mesh system, spent an hour with customer service rebooting system, unplugging every speaker, adding an ethernet cable to any speakers in range all with no fix. Finally they suggested that I have to call ASUS and get them to switch my network over to “bridge mode” as the only fix.It worked fine yesterday and every day before today’s update to 15.2. The CSR even admitted they have never seen the warning code before. Anyone else having this issue?
Hi,Is your web site having issues? I am unable to utilise any of my upgrade credit on a new purchase. I have 3 X 15% available but no way to redeem.
“An unexpected error occurred. Please try again”"If you see this error, uninstall the Sonos app by opening the app and clicking Sonos > Uninstall. Then, download and reinstall the Sonos app." - THE SAME AS I DID LAST TIME, AND THE TIME BEFORE.When are they going to make Sonos work properly on Mac!!
I built a home and installed a rather large and complex Sonos system. I have ARC +Sub, Beam +Sub, three Amps driving 12 Architectural speakers in different areas of the house, Sonos Port to send Bluetooth signal to my hot tub, plus two Roams that move around. My wife starts off our morning using the Alarm feature, and the system is used all-day long and through the evening when I finish work and get home. Basically, the the system runs 0630 to 2300 every day (over 16 hours). You will see that when I built the house, I installed the Arc and Beam the way they were intended to be mounted (see photos), and all three Amps and the Port are installed in hidden compartments in closets so that you never see them. The Arc, Beam, and all three Amps have Gigabit Ethernet running to them, and have Wi-Fi enabled. WiFi is 5GHz in an AI Mesh system with three different access points in the mesh (Asus Routers with Gigabit Ethernet backhaul between all mesh points). We use the Sonos S2 app on multiple
It’s my observation that more and more people are discovering the great sound, that a pair of Fives combined with the sealed Sub Mini makes. It completes the Fives, and make them open up more, while the bass is tighter and stronger. However I recently moved the speakers and Sub Mini to a larger room, and now I need a little more bass, but unlike the soundbar, which alows me to add two subs (though only the larger sub for whatever strange reason), I can’t add a second Sub Mini. It should just be a simple update, and you’ll sell a whole lot more subs.So can we expect this dual subs setup for our stereo Fives in the near future? Thanks.
I walked into my casita thirty minutes ago and heard my Sonos playing the local Tuscons classical radio station. I went about my morning and then just walked in again and silence...not a peep out of the player…I grabbed my phone and started the app and saw this:Pressing Casita led to this:Followed by this:Then before I could press anything this ad was rather unhelpfully thrust into my face:To which I responded with “Not now” and then back on the prior screen I selected “More Information” to see this: Pressing OK takes me back to this:Then choosing “not now” led to this:Selecting “Casita” leads to the entire “user experience” being repeated. As I’ve said (and many others too) this is poor design, poor software, poor user experience it is certainly not accurate to describe Sonos as We’re not limited by what’s possible now. With a bold vision for the future of home sound, we’ve painstakingly invented the technology we needed to make it a reality. orWe’re a spirited team of individuals who
HelloI have a few things to “unpack” in this post regarding the following:Sonos Era 300 Stand vs. Sanus Era 300 Stands (static and adjustable) Setup of Sonos Era 300 stands with Era 300 speaker Era 300 Speaker in stereo pair vs Five stereo pair My opinion as to why the Era 300 has no center channel in surround mode Era 100 vs Sonos One (Gen1/Gen2) Era 100 designation in System > About My System when connected via EthernetSonos Era 300 Stand vs. Sanus Era 300 Stands (Fixed and adjustable)The Sonos Era 300 Stand is an engineering marvel. The assembled height is perfect (IMO) for the vast majority of installations when the Era 300’s are used as surround speakers (and when they are used as a front stage stereo pair). There’s a lot of Calculus engineering principles employed to achieve a minimalist design that balances a 9.85 lb., ( 4.47kg) speaker on a 37.634 in (956 mm) pole. The stress points obviously zero out which allows the massive speaker to float; as if no external support is u
Case # ***. Contacted Sonos Tech help and was connected to Syria? Shane in the Phillipines who requested access to my computer. I gave consent and she copied all my CONTACTS which is now being used to SCAM all my contacts across the world.Don't give access to any SONOS employee, especially if they are located outside North America..It will take me about 2 years to rebuild my 1000+ email contacts. Will SONOS help in any way??More info can be obtained from: ***Moderator note: Personal information removed from public area for your protection.
I’m going to raise this topic one more time in the hopes that someone from Sonos will respond. As many others have noted in the countless threads on this topic, there are requests for this feature that go back 15 years. And before someone chimes in that this has already been implemented, let me clarify what I (and many others) are requesting and it is definitely not the currently implemented grouping feature.A named group, as I define it, would be a persistent group of speakers with a unique name that could be selected as you would an individual speaker. In its most basic implementation this could be used as the target of an alarm. How silly is it that the only way I can have an alarm play to multiple speakers is to go in every evening and create a group and then hope that no one in the household disturbs it? As it is, if I want NPR to play automatically in the morning in the kitchen and bedroom I have to set up multiple alarms and put up with unsynced audio.Beyond this simple enha
So I’m watching a Dolby Atmos movie and all is good. I happen to open the Sonos app and see rooms that say not connected and has the red dot by each. So I go to open a room that says no connection on the app and the app crashes to the iPhone Home Screen. Also, one of the rooms listed as not connected is my main tv room. But, I never lost any sound from the Arc, sub, or Ones and watched the entire movie with no interruptions. Then the bathroom room disappears on the list of my system , and two kitchens appear. Then tv room appears twice listed. Never happened before. Wondering if it’s the same on my iPad. Ideas?
Please allow us to remove the Sonos Radio from the Browse list in the app (See screenshot, below). Sonos Radio should work the same way all non-Sonos music services do: you can remove them. There have been multiple threads on the topic, now locked, but no clear response from Sonos about resolving this issue.
Yet another pissed off customer. I am trying to send a broken Move [Dead Battery) conveniently out of warranty by three months even although it’s sat in storage for a year .back to Poland for a 30% discount code on a replacement.I printed out the forms sent to me by Sonos customer service These were a shipping label and 3 waybills. I dropped them off at the designated shop . The owner checked it was all there. Told me the problems she had with UPs Ive now been sent an e mail from the wife with a photo of the box dumped on the porch and asking for an invoice that I know nothing about.im now out the country for another 6 weeks so can’t deal with it ,I’ve tried to open the support page by putting the number they gave and told me to keep ,but it does not recognise it .So what do I do now ?I was looking at updating a few of my older system , but if this is the back up you receive I think I will go elsewhere.
Can you come up with a wireless headset product that will tie into the Sonos Beam for the hearing impaired?
Does anyone know if I can exchange my sub gen 2 for a sub mini in the Sonos market and pay whatever differential there is? And if not how would you recommend that I sell it?
I was told, today, that the speaker stands for the new 300’s won’t be available till June. Wow…
Sonos should really focus on reducing idle energy consumption of the existing devices! Both the environmental impact and the impact on energy bills is significant (especially in some regions of Europe) when expanding a Sonos System. I have a system with a Beam Gen2, two Sonos One Gen2, and together the consumption exceeds 13W! It’s MORE than three lightbulbs constantly on 24/7! It accounts for about 120kWh a year, which is what you’d consume to drive 700km with an electric car!! It’s just crazy! Also, with current energy prices it could account to more than 70€ a year! It’s like having yet another subscription service! Also, I’d like to expand my setup with a Sub Mini, but I can’t tollerate to rise further this energy consumption! Sonos should first of all do everything that’s possible to optimize the devices and reduce idle energy consumption, but also develop an “Eco” mode -which could also be scheduled, for example- which brings the devices in a “deep sleep” state, which might requi
