Reached our vacation home 2 days ago where we loved listening to music and relaxing. For the past 2 days on both Android and iOS platforms, the app refuses to play any of our favorite stations. Just get the circle of death on the play button. So disappointed I had invested so heavily in Sonos products.
Sonos is Disrupting my BusinessI have had Sonos speakers in my salon for over 10 years. There have been issues at time but Never This Unusably Bad. It is almost August and they have not fixed one thing. I am unable to play music in at my business. I still can not understand why they are not bring back the old app that worked just fine until they make sure the new app works. Coding 101If anyone know of a lawsuit getting started I would be more than happy to join in. Sonos does not seem to care. They keep trying to make it my router, internet, music app, ….. the problem. They are gaslighting us all by acting like they have nothing to do with the problem.
As well as my music library showing multiple copies of the same albums, very annoying. Now I can’t launch internet radio stations from the app. I have to ask Alexa to play the station I want. Isn’t it time to bin this awful app? I’m getting seriously fed up with Sonos.
should stop by X's account every day to leave them messages of the reality of this * system they have become. Are you going to stop by every day to leave them messages on X? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
The sonos system turned out to be a good-for-nothing piece of crap. I can't use it at all, they ask you for location to listen to music, it's a disaster. I will also stop using sonos, I will never buy it again. It's a shame what a piece of crap they turned it into it doesn't work in any way.*Moderator Note: Title Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Wake up. Open Sonos. Can’t find system. Scroll to my system. Connect. Can only find three of eight speakers. Music only plays out of one speaker. Reset router. Power off/on some speakers. Try some speaker resets. Music only plays out of one speaker. Some may find this frustrating, but with Sonos, I just call it Sunday.
Has this community been high jacked? Nothing but posts about airline stuff. How can all that crap be stopped? Only seems to show those airline related posts when I choose “Help Others” or “Recent Activity”.
What does the message mean? Showed when I cleared a Qobuz playlist from the queue. This is after updating the app today.
Feedback for Sonos on a new app feature that would be very useful… it is very common for a speaker installation to include two in-wall speakers in the back of a living room for surround sound for watching TV. However, when not watching TV and instead listening to music you can’t switch the speakers into stereo mode without a long drawn-out process of removing the surround speakers. It would be awesome if you could add a feature in the app to toggle between surround and stereo in two speakers in such an installation. I believe this would be used quite a bit.
The diabolical Sonos App has defeated me. I’m done. I give in. It’s completely turned my Which Best Buy Sonos speakers into little more than household ornaments! Just checking in too see if anyone has any recommendations for a replacement system where the software aligns with the hardware?
So the latest update is terrible. I have a Sonos beam and 2 satellites in the living room and a Sonos move 2 in my garage. The system in the living room is for movies and tv and I hardly ever use it for music. I listen to music in the garage as that’s where I work. In the new app , when I go to play music it defaults to the living room. So I have to change it to the garage. No biggie. Problem is that while listening to music in the garage, if I decide to change channels or genres it automatically defaults back to the living room instead of staying with the move 2 that was already playing music. Is there a way to change the default speakers to the move 2 and not the living room system?
So much for the promised 2 weekly app updates. What a joke Sonos have become. I find it hard to believe the board haven't fired the CEO.
Can only reset every device in my house so many times. Can only post on this forum so many times. Can only update so many times. Please someone start a class action lawsuit. Please. Everyone hates this. Nobody wanted this app update. Just roll it the * back. * this CEO and this company.*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
I bought a Sonos Ace headset and returned it because it did not suit me. I sent it back to the address provided (in Poland), but Sonos is telling me that the package was empty and that they cannot refund me.Here is their message:"We are contacting you regarding the refund for order RO-301237. We inform you that we received an empty box under return label RO-301237. Please be aware that we can only process the refund if we receive the headset in good condition. We remain at your disposal and look forward to your response.Your case number is *********.I am still waiting for a response. Moderator edit: recorded and removed case number
You accidentally leave the fryer on, you’re fired. Drive a multi-billion $ company into the ground, apparently, not really a problem.
Without any sense of hyperbole, the Sonos app is hands down the worst app I have ever used.It has the most problems and issues I’ve ever encountered, which includes consistent inability to connect to my speakers (Era 100, Beam, One SL and mini-Sub). When I’m grouping speakers, it’ll often play out of one set and not the other. If I change a song, one set of speakers keeps playing the initial track while the other plays the one I switched to. Sometimes it won’t even connect to any of my sets. There are times when the volume suddenly increases without me ever touching the volume bar. It’s all so aggravating for such a premium product. Even the UI is messy and lacks much fluidity. The design needs a complete minimalist overhaul.I love these speakers. They sound great and have had no issues with the hardware in the nearly 2 years I’ve owned them, but the app is atrocious and incredibly frustrating. FIX THIS APP.
Finally I've had enough. They bricked my original play 5's and I sucked it up. They got rid of the ability to use my own music. Now the app is an unstable Trainwreck. Sonos has completely lost my faith in their ability to operate as a music system. I used to install Sonos in bars shops and other venues and finally I'm sick to death of the cause I get complaining about the multiple issues my old customers have with their system. I have about 35 speakers and I invest a lot of time money in it. I can handle them bricking my speakers, I went out and invested in a network storage device but this app update just screams of incompetence. I really want to love Sonos but we've reached the end of the road. I represented it and promoted their products and feel like I have left a plethora of people down that relied on my advice as an installer. Now I am just looking for alternative that I can try out and compare and finally switch over and sell the rest of my system to the next poor fella. Wha
I’m wondering if Sonos has decided to abandon the ability to create Sonos Playlists. The new app update added the Clear Queue function, but Edit & Save are still M.I.A. Makes me think that’s the end of Sonos Playlists.
I had an interaction with a community member (no Sonos logo) and a Sonos moderator that made me think of this Reddit thread.https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/s/S7o8F5s5hbObviously Praytell wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t posting here (and I’m not saying the few posts praising the update are them). But there are some posts that make me wonder. “How Praytell is influencing this subredditPraytell is a company who specialises in brand advertisement and public relations. Their job is to manage all public relations and e-reputation for a client and influence on social networks for the client benefit. They call it STRATEGIC STORYTELLING.They have been hired by Sonos by the end of 2022 to manage all of their communication.Since the new app debacle, 4 monthes ago, they are behind Sonos awfull communication like the famous "It takes courage..." The CEO wrote. They are heavilly influencing on social media too. This is their basic job and it's their job to do it posing as genuine satisfied
I was so excited to see the recent update and installed it immediately. Everything worked better than ever and for the first time I used the Sonos voice control. It was glorious and impressed all my friends. Then just as suddenly as it came, it went and now nothing works. Or worse, everything will turn on for a minute or two and then turn off by itself never to be resuscitated. My house is filled with these speakers, I have 4 of the IKEA ones, 1 portable, a beam & a sol one. It’s my dream system, but it doesn’t work 🫤.Please advise.
disappointed! I soend too much time messing around with this. it cost me $$$ to use this product
Well..another write up on the failing new Sonos app….doesn't seem to be getting better..
I have two Sonos Play 1s and a Sonos roam. I have always been dissatisfied because of glitches and other problems. I persevered and accepted the poor service. After the latest update Sonos could no longer find my music library. I had a new full fibre broadband installed. When setting my system up again more in hope than faith, it found the system , identified the Roam and got close to setting it up but then failed. It can’t find my Sonos Play 1s and apparently I can’t change the broadband without a factory reset. I have finally given up. I no longer have the energy to try to work with a company who manifestly don’t care about their customers. I bought an Apple HomePod, took it out the box, switched on and it worked. Plus my entire library was there. Oh joy! Farewell .So is.
I’m building a dedicated home theatre and while I have the Sonos ARC + ERA 300 setup in another room, I would LOVE to get SONOS music (esp Atmos through Apple or Tidal) into my dedicated home theatre setup. Despite buying a ‘works with SONOS’ Sonos ES 11ch AV receiver, I am learning that I cannot get anything beyond stereo quality…As a long time SONOS fanboy and someone with 12+ rooms with SONOS, it’s a real bummer that my dedicated AV room and highest end audio gear (7.2.4 home theatre) can’t sync/play nicely with Sonos in anything more than stereo…
When will sonos be fixed
