I finally have to vent some frustration with this company. As a long time supporter, Beta tester, and user in general with thousands of dollars spent in product and many many hours of time spent helping fix bugs, dealing with issues and just not being happy with my purchases at this point I am ready to throw the towel in.

I have nothing but problems with my S2 app and all of my new speakers. I still run a small system on S1 but rarely use it anymore because it has wiped my music services after having multiple issues there and it constantly wants me to perform an update to add back music services and the update can't be completed because of an error code that covers like 300 different issue.

The lack of communication addressing these issues and not being properly taken care of as a long time customer and supporter is just ridiculous.

I'm hoping that the company does something soon to fix these issues and make things right for us. I only have so much patience before I sell everything Sonos and find their biggest competition and start buying their product.

Vent over for now....

Lack of communication?

I am expecting the app to be working as well as the “gold” version by January 2025, or maybe February.

Progress has been glacially slow, with many mis-steps on the way.

One solution is to use an iPhone 6s: it cannot be updated to a sufficiently new iOS, so is “stuck” on the last version of the Gold app. Or use the Desktop apps. Or third party.

These work-arounds wont help if you need to add a new device or perform other system-level changes, but will allow all playback features.

The iPhone 7 can be used that way as well.

I'm a Google Pixel user for the S1 app at my business. At home I mix with an iPad and my Pixel. It's just very frustrating having to manage workarounds for something like this.
