Hi AllWe are happy to announce to all Arc Ultra owners that the latest Sonos system update (issued today) includes a change to the behaviour of the “TV Level” surround setting slider option, in response to your feedback.Previously, the slider had an effect on the apparent volume of the Arc Ultra itself, as the Arc Ultra is involved with the rendering of the rear channels, even when rear speakers are present. Now, the new behaviour of the “TV Level” setting will be that it will only affect the rear drivers/speakers, rather than the rear channels. The result of this is that when adjusting “TV Level”, you will no longer hear the audio coming directly from the Arc Ultra increase or decrease with the slider. Instead, you will only hear the surround speakers raise or lower their volume with the slider.I hope you all enjoy the change we’ve made - happy listening! Please note that I am keeping this thread separate from the threads already extant in relation to Arc Ultra and it’s audio profile. So, after this app debacle I’m on the hunt for technical solutions. The one that I found is that I use Symfonium ( https://symfonium.app ) and oh great it supports UPnP ! I can play my files in the FLAC format (16bit/44.1 kHz) without problems !But my music provider converts to OPUS 128kb/s for my smartphone because when I’m on the road… Roaming gets quickly expensive. I then get 48.0 kHz files that are then sent via UPnP to Sonos, just like FLAC.According to https://docs.sonos.com/docs/supported-audio-formats, 48 kHz is supported for Opus. But it doesn’t work. Bummer. But fear not I got one last card up my sleeve and it’s to transcode to MP3. So I’m trying MP3 320kb/s, in 44.1 kHz which again is supposed to work and… well, it doesn’t work.I tried another UPnP device it was working flawlessly, and it even works over Chromecast… But we can all dream about Chromecast on Sonos when I see Apple and AirPlay working without problems it really sucks using Android with Sonos… :(Any staff members
I have 2 sonos Roam speakers. One of which will not connect. I have not used this one for several months. All I get when placed on charger is the orange light but this goes out for after a couple of minutes then nothing. I’ve tried a different charger same thing.
This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. Recently I bought 2 Sonos Roam speakers and tried to add one of them to my system in the mobile app (v.80.01.07, Android), but the setup failed at the last stage - at adding and trying to update the speaker. After this my new Roam was seen in my system but its state was “Not registered”. I couldn’t use it - the app suggested to update the speaker but I got the “Error 1000” message. Then I Thought about adding my Roam in the Sonos controller program (v.16.2, MS Windows 11) on my PC. On starting the program suggested to update (I thought - to update the program, but it updated my speaker as I understood later). I aggreed and the update succeded. After that I made factory reset on this Roam speaker (https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/reset-your-sonos-product).Then I tried again to add this speaker in the mobile app and heard the greeting sound
Hi. My sonos connect disappeared from my system according to my phone app. Multiple attempts to find it/reconnect were unsuccessful. I tried turning it off and on again. That didn’t solve anything. I tried resetting it. That was a mistake! Now, I just have a flashing red light. I called support and they said “it’s a known issue” “we are working on it” “a fix will be rolled out soon.” That seems unlikely considering the connect is so old (how long has this been a known issue)? Any ideas on how I can get my connect working again?
Just an update concerning the new Beam Ultra. This was a replacement for a playbar with a sub gen 1and 2 play 1’s as surrounds. The beam sees and connects to the sub but after many resets, a long AI conversation and then eventually getting connected to a human, it turns out play 1’s as surrounds are not compatible with the beam ultra. that’s a real pity but something to be aware of. These are my personal opinions. The Ace Ultra is a definite upgrade over the original Ace with a few stipulations. The overall sound and some other features are improved; but not to a point that the original Ace is a throw-away. ANCBetter; however, I still prefer my Apple AirPods Pro 3. There’s a logical reason why I pick the Apple AirPods Pro 3…which is in-ear (Apple) vs over-the-ear (Ace Utlra). The former provides a tighter seal as one would expect. Finally, I wear glasses which works against the Ace Ultra providing the same tight seal as my AirPods Pro 3. That said, the average non-eye glass wearer should find the ANC on the Ace Ultra comparable to other high-end ANC headsets; if not slightly better.Transparency/Aware modesUnchanged.TV Audio SwapHandled in much the same manner as does the original Ace. So basically, un-remarkable.Spatial AudioReproduction is excellent and better than the original Ace. I used the scene in movie Sinners where music from past, present and future are me
System worked until router replaced/upgraded now cannot use alexa - access my personnel music or radio stations - re booted sonos and alexa - doesn't always recognise anything - have also rebooted router several times - router is accepted and works with tv - tablet - phones etc -- really at a loose as to what next - did think about cancelling sonos and alexa and re joining but fear they may not accept as email seen as already on record -- does any one have some advice please
Hey,Is there someone who found any floor stand for Sonos Play?I found only one product from the Dutch brand „Vebos“. Seems they only offer that product within the EU at the moment. If you switch language e. g. to US or UK you can’t find the product. https://vebos.eu/vebos-standfuss-sonos-play-schwarz.html?I think now that Sonos Play and Move2 can be used as surrounds a floor stand for these speakers could become more interesting as before. There’s a stand from Vebos on its way to me. I‘m curious how practical this solution is. So let me know if there are other floor stands for Sonos Play you found, or just please tell me how you place your portable speakers when using them as surrounds. Of course you’ll be fine, if there‘s some furniture behind you to put the speakers on. But that won’t be the case for everyone.
I am so disappointed. I have never returned a Sonos product (Sonos user for 8 years), but I just returned the Ace Ultra. I had been on the sidelines with the original Ace, as I didn’t need another headphone and my original Beams would not work for a handover. But- the addition of this feature in the Ace Ultra that would allow me to listen to my turntable connected to a pair of Fives via line-in, and my two Beams, was just what I was looking for. Finally. I eagerly unpacked the headphones and followed the setup instructions, including linking to both Beams and my other compatible speakers- including my paired Fives (not Play Five). I was hoping things would just work. But they didn’t. For reference, in the same room I have a Beam (wi-fi enabled) connected to a Samsung TV and a turntable connected to the Fives via line-in. They are in close proximity due to the room layout. FYI, all software/firmware is up to date as was the Early Access app feature.I eagerly put a record on the turntabl
I received a Sonos Move 2 for Christmas, and unfortunately it has been one of the most frustrating technology purchases I have made.Let me be clear: the hardware is beautiful. The design is excellent, it looks fantastic and the sound quality is very good. If I were reviewing the physical speaker alone, I would have very little criticism. The problem is everything that is supposed to make the speaker work. The Sonos app is unreliable and buggy. I regularly have problems connecting to the Move 2, and I have experienced problems with both Spotify and Apple Music. Trying to play music that is already in my Apple Music library, rather than music streamed directly from a service, has been particularly frustrating.I have spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to connect the speaker, get the app to recognise it and get music playing. On several occasions I have had to effectively factory reset the speaker to get it working again. I spend almost as much time trying to get the Move 2 working
Hi everyone.I have made this below document on basis of my own experience. I found a solution for a lot of issues, like speakers for computers, TV speakers, and integration with wireless devices. Kindly have a look at this document and give me your thoughts.https://www.icloud.com/pages/0bedGi_eXiHO5ZflXrcD6HXJg All the best Sam.
This might be useful for all brands using Google TV. It’s been a lifesaver for me.. I just changed from a Samsung TV to a new TCL - both have Bluetooth remotes, but the Samsung one rather smartly sends volume up and down over IR which allows you to control the Sonos from one remote.. Sadly the TCL remote in Bluetooth mode does not, furthermore the TCL remote in IR mode doesn’t work well with Sonos learning. I have the perfect solution! Using Homeassistant (which I run on a Raspberry Pi). A simple automation to look for state or volume changes from the TCL TV using the Android Remote integration and relaying the volume to the Sonos Playbar using the Sonos integration. Works like a charm! I hope that helps people out there with Google TVs, Bluetooth remotes and Playbars wanting to use just one remote seamlessly.
If you haven’t discovered this….Touching the screen with two fingers and rotating them reveals a “Slick” volume control as shown in the pics below. The second pic shows it working in “Group” mode!
Could use a little help with this. I’m about to purchase a new system (previous burned in Eaton Fire). Our temporary home poses some unique challenges as it’s wide open making TV viewing surrounds difficult to place. I’m about to purchase an Arc Ultra and thinking of adding 300s but given location of seating (red arrows) I’m unsure of placements? behind camera is kitchen and dining room so wide open. WFH desk is to the left. I use two One’s and a sub mini for music while at desk (positioned to either side of the glass doors). I’m baffled as to setting up for TV viewing in this house. TIA 🤷🏻🤦♂️
SummaryNew Sonos Play (S58) units ship on firmware 94.1-71219-manufacturing. When added to an existing household running 97.1-80312, the new unit is placed in the household's QuarantinedDevices list with QuarantineReason="upnpovertls" (Configuration="0", SecureRegState="0"). The app shows "Play is not registered", and setup cannot complete.Symptoms• The app shows "Play is not registered".• Fix It loops: asks for a reboot, then after opening the app it asks for a reboot again. After a reset it again spends a few minutes "connecting to WiFi", then reports the speaker was set up but "might not be working properly". It stays unregistered.• Check for updates reports no updates available, because the quarantined unit is notpart of the system.• Rebooting and factory resetting the speaker do not help.ReproductionThis happened with two Plays on consecutive days: Unit MAC First seen on network Resolved Play 1 80:4A:F2:B6:68:66 2026-09-29 20:23 CES
We bought 3 Era 100 for a Pilates studio - at first they seemed to work well, but now, after roughly 4 months, every teacher has issues connecting, including me. I had to register the sonos speakers AGAIN - but it only temporarly helped and only worked for my device. Something seems to be completely off. Sometimes the music just stops in the middle of a sessions. We connect via Wifi, which is stable and fast. But crazy enough, even bluetooth does not connect! It is a huge pain. Other people, including clients, tell me they have the same issues with Sonos. Even before I bought them one other studio owner was warning me about them… I wish I would have followed her advice.I honesty just want to return them.
Aggiornero in futuro.Spero di essere di aiuto ad altri utenti.
Hi all,I'm having a strange issue with Spotify Connect and wondered if anyone has experienced the same problem.I have three separate rooms in the current Sonos app:• Family Room – Sonos Arc• Living Room – Beam Gen 2 + two Sonos SL as surrounds + Sub• Kitchen – standalone Sonos OneAll three rooms appear normally in the Sonos app and work correctly. Spotify is added as a music service in Sonos and I can play Spotify music to any of the three rooms from within the Sonos app. However, in the Spotify Android app, the Sonos rooms generally don't appear under Connect to a device.Today I started Spotify playback and Family Room ARC suddenly appeared in Spotify Connect and I could control it from Spotify. The Living Room and Kitchen still don't appear as separate Spotify Connect devices. As a test, I grouped the other two rooms with the Family Room in the Sonos app. Spotify immediately changed to show “Family Room ARC +2” and successfully controlled all three rooms.I then ungrouped them again. All
Just unboxed my new ACE Ultra. Already they are so much better than the OG ones and I have not even played anything on them yet as they are just updating in the App. They are much more comfy on my ears as I am a glasses wearer and the colour is just lovely. They have a more premium feel too. I will update more once I start to use them.Oh and the zip on the case is much improved!
Unfortunately, my Beam Ultra arrived today. I'm not able to unpack it or install it for a couple of days; mega frustrating! How are other new owners finding theirs?
A while ago I created this post: This is still a problem. For several games, if not all games, the volume is not how it should be. In the game Metaphor, dialoge form the sides are much louder than from the center. In other games, certain sounds seem too loud. These problems are especially bad when using Dolby Atmos on PS5, but also a problem in Linear PCM, in some cases just as bad like with the Metaphor example. I have tried several combinations without luck. This is not an issue with the TV or PS5 because this is not an issue with the TV audio. I am using passthrough on the TV and device type soundbar on PS5, but tested multiple combinations. Do I have a faulty Arc Ultra? I’m only using the Arc Ultra with my LG C4 TV, no sub or other speakers. I find it odd I can’t find anyone else reporting this. Edit: I think the main problem is that the soundbar mixes up dialoge and music, so in Metaphor when characters are talking from the sides the volume is increased, but when it is from the ce
I’ve been a Sonos user since 2010. sometime around Covid, it’s been well publicized they have developed terrible software problems. I have spent countless hours on the phone. I have read reports of promises to resolve and of a new software rollout (Sonos 27) I’ve upgraded from 1 to 2 I’ve replaced old equipment, I’ve gone to a mesh router system, I’ve hardwired speakers and nothing, I mean nothing has solved the issues. What is going on with this company? Their tech was so solid and now it’s complete trash and they cannot fix it
Hi,I have BenQ 2150HT. I have ArcanaFury.I would like to connect that to Arc Ultra. I have tried all the advice on the Internet I could find. Am I doing something wrong or is this projector not compatible?ThanksK
Hello Group,I currently have an Arc Ultra, sub4 and 2 ERA100’s in our living room. During the day I have my desk setup near the TV facing our couch. I would like to be able to listen to just the ERA100’s and the sub4. Is there any way to have 2 different “presets” for a surround setup?
