I have a Samsung Frame TV - QN75LS03BAFXZ (2021) and a Sonos ARC gen 2My issue was with the TV settings, not the ARCThis is how I fixed it.Pulled out all cables and power supply on the backend (Sonos Connect, now Sonos Port) I did not go behind the TV to disconnect and reconnect. I did a factory reset on the TV.These are the settings that worked for me. Caveat - The TV still loses the HDMI output choice that has been saved occasionally. Sometimes I must go back in and make the proper selections again.Go to HOME screen Select SETTINGS Set SOUND OUTPUT to Sonos Arc (HDMI-eARC) Go to INPUT DEVICE manager Go to CONNECTION Go to EXTERNAL DEVICE MANAGER Select Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) Select INPUT SIGNAL PLUS and make sure that the proper HDMI selections are there. My setup has 2 HDMI inputs used: HDMI 1 & HDMI 3. Make sure that all the proper HDMI selections are selected. Mine drops one of the HDMI inputs sometimes and that’s when I have the problem. Go to the SOUND menu. In EXPERT setti
Can the WiFi radio on the ace ultra be turned off if not in use?
Hello all, I hope someone can help me.I noticed the other day that a few albums in my library had suddenly split into multiple albums. At first I thought there may have been an update that had changed the way certain albums were tagged. I did some rudimentary checks on the album tags (I use Tag & Rename) but couldn't see any issues. However on further examination I noticed that the multiple of the albums had the same track in them see images below.Multiple of one album.Only one track (The same track) showing in both albumsYou can see that a look into the folder for this album shows 11 tracks. View into the folder for albumDoing a re-scan of the library does not fix the issue. But I have found that by adding a new album to my library fixes the issue after a re-scan. However I have noticed that adding a new album can correct one problem but then suddenly another suddenly is inflicted with the same issue. So I am very confused as why adding one album can suddenly cause this issue with
Had same issue with Sonos as it starts with wrong room. Since there seems to be no option to assign a room as default, I solved this issue with the next solution. Rename the room you want to be the default room by adding a 1 as prefix. For example 'Living room' becomes '1 Living Room'. Do the same for your other rooms by using a 2, a 3 and so on. When finished close and re-open the app and notice the room that starts with 1 is now your default room. It works fine for me!
Does play s3 speaker still works on 2026?!
Hello all,We have been waiting for so long to use Sonos move speakers as surround speakers, and finally it is there… but only working on 2nd generation of Move Speakers ?! really?! Can someone explain me why 1st Gen don’t have this ability ? Technically I mean, because software pov, I’m sure it’s not an issue.
Hello Sonos community. For some time I have been sending my audio up to my Samsung tv from my Oppo player that I use. Bdp103. As we all know Sonos products don't support DSD from our 1 bit DSD sacds. So much for DSF files on our stick drives from previous files that we as music lovers have purchased. Well as our Prestine SACD players that are converted to pcm to be decoded from the same layer on our players that are 5.1 or 3.1 from 2ch sacds and we send them up the ladder to our tvs that our player is sending out the tv is the culprit giving is basic stereo that our players work so hard for us to hopefully enjoy 5.1 ,wwe all see stereo pcm This doesn't have to be no more. Why? By getting a audio extractor. Orie is the one I have HDA 934. Player is in the source input 3 Output for eArc goes directly to the soundbar arc/ Arcultra. In the EDID management where it says Auto you select that mode and leave it for sacds .leave tv on which only gets the video not the lovely Audio that our tv b
Dear Sonos Team,Can you please add a Full TV Audio option for Era 100s used as surrounds.Currently, they only play surround-channel content. The workaround is to separate and group them with the Arc Ultra, but this can cause delay and requires separate volume control through the Sonos app.Not everyone wants surround-only playback. Please add:TV Surround PlaybackSurround FullFull would play the complete TV mix, including dialogue, through the Era 100s while keeping them bonded to the Arc Ultra with unified volume control.Since full TV audio already works when the speakers are grouped separately, this seems like a useful software option to add. Best, jim
I have installed a SONOS system to my house and I( think I have grown to actually hate it. It looks fantastic but is so difficult to keep all the speakers working. The APP guides are so frustrating as they don’t allow you to go back. My phone has been saying ‘Connecting to your Play 5 for 40 mins. This has happened a few times and if I shut down the App I lose all the speakers that I did have success connecting. I have x2 Players, X2 Play 5, x3 Sonon 1’s, x2 Sonos Move, x1 Sonos Boost. It all looks good, sounds great when it work but I am now beyond the end of my tether trying to get all speakers connected.
I have a niche that measures as above; it’s a wooden built in media cabinet with TV mounting space that measures as above in the image (66 x 41) in inches. Claude says it will fit, but it is not exactly 4 inches below. It says I can get up to 3 inches if I reduce the distance at the top. My question is, will this work appropriately? The Frame Pro TV is what I’m using, so it’s flush mount to the wall and shouldn’t interfere with the 4 inch protruding soundbar, but I don’t know enough to say yay or nay. Thanks for your help!
Hi,I’m repairing a Sonos Play:5 Gen 1 and I’m looking for suitable replacements for the power inductors in the Class-D amplifier output section. The original inductors are marked “100” and “200”, which I understand to be 10 µH and 20 µH.I have removed one of the 100 inductors and measured the physical dimensions:Approx. 12.5 mm diameter Approx. 19 mm total height Two electrical leads Approx. 8.1 mm lead spacing The bottom of the component is marked “C25”Does anyone know the original manufacturer/part number, current rating and DCR of these inductors?More importantly, has anyone successfully replaced the 100 (10 µH) and/or 200 (20 µH) inductors in a Play:5 Gen 1 and can recommend a specific replacement part number? For some additional background on the failure: all five of the large electrolytic capacitors in this amplifier section have failed, and I have also found several other visibly swollen electrolytic capacitors which will be replaced. In addition, two of the four 6-pin components m
Help from the pro’s needed...🙏11 Speaker Sonos System - Becomes Unresponsive After a While (Sky Max + Orbi RBE871 AP Mode)I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction because I’m running out of ideas. My client has an 11-speaker Sonos system consisting of:Beam Sonos Amps Play:3s Sonos Ones RoamFor over 6 months they’ve experienced intermittent issues including:Rooms disappearing “Unable to connect” “Cannot communicate” App timing out Speakers appearing in the app but with no playback controls Alexa playing to the wrong room or saying it’s playing when nothing happensOriginal NetworkI discovered the network was configured like this:Sky Max Hub (routing + Wi-Fi enabled) Orbi RBE871 mesh (Router Mode + Wi-Fi enabled)So there were effectively two routers and two Wi-Fi systems.Changes MadeI spent the day simplifying everything:Sky Max Hub now does all routing and DHCP. Sky Wi-Fi disabled. Orbi RBE871 changed to AP Mode. Garden Orbi also changed to AP Mode. Garden Sonos speaker mov
Are you experiencing S2 app problems with some speakers dropping out of view or not seeing volume controls and being able to control / play to speakers or failed firmware updates with messages such as connection timeout or can’t connect to server - all while using Netgear Nighthawk MR60 mesh system? Let me save you hours of troubleshooting and phone calls. Log into router web client (not the Nighthawk app) and go into the advanced tab under advanced set. We have a couple of Sonos speakers set up in our workspace which is inside an older stone-walled building. The environment gets quite humid, particularly during autumn and winter when the temperature drops and moisture levels in the walls increase. There is no active damp but the general humidity sits noticeably higher than a modern insulated building. So far the speakers have been performing fine, but we are slightly concerned about the long-term effects of sustained humidity on the electronics and drivers. We listen to music and podcasts throughout the working day so the speakers are running for eight or nine hours at a stretch in these conditions.A couple of things we would like to know from the community:Has anyone used Sonos products long term in a humid or poorly ventilated space, and did you notice any degradation in sound quality or reliability over time?Is there any guidance from Sonos on acceptable humidity ranges for their indoor speakers? We are considering adding a Move 2 or
This seems super disappointing – I have Claude set up to control my Sonos, but there's no way for it to actually build and play songs on its own. I either have to prompt it each time to play the next song, or I have to create a static playlist that gets pushed over. I really want something that’s more hands off and keeps selecting new songs as the evening goes by. Am I missing something, or is this just a consequence of hype not living up to reality?
Hi everyone,Hoping someone can help me figure this out, because I’m honestly running out of ideas.I’m writing from Austria, and have been a loyal Sonos customer for years without ever experiencing anything like this.Currently on my third Arc Ultra (Sonos replaced my original Arc Ultra, and then replaced the replacement unit 🙂) and all three have had the same type of distortion/crackling from one side on higher-pitched sounds, especially piano and certain voices. It is clearly audible from meters away, even at low volume. The strange part is that the affected side changed:Original: left side — serial starts with 2508LC Replacement #1: left side — serial starts with 2508LC Replacement #2: right side — serial starts with 2507LC I’ve tested different TVs, Apple TV, AirPlay, Sonos Radio, the Arc Ultra by itself,Trueplay off, and a complete factory reset/setup. The issue remained. To be fair, Sonos Support has been very kind and helpful and approved the replacements after seeing my videos.
I’m experiencing an intermittent problem with one of my Sonos speakers where it suddenly becomes unavailable in the Sonos app while I’m listening to music. The speaker still has power and appears to be running normally, but playback stops and the app either shows the speaker as unavailable or takes a long time to reconnect. The problem is inconsistent, which makes it difficult to determine what is triggering it.Some details I’ve noticed so far:The speaker can disconnect while audio is already playing. Other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network continue working normally. The speaker sometimes reappears in the Sonos app after waiting for a few minutes. Restarting the speaker temporarily fixes the problem. The issue can return later without any obvious change to the network. The problem does not seem to happen at a specific time or with a particular music service. I have not noticed any obvious power-related problems with the speaker.I’m trying to figure out whether this is more li
I mostly love my Sonos equipment, but what in the heck were they thinking hard wiring the USB-C cable into the Sonos Play dock? I strive for that clean look and I have 6 feet of wire to somehow hide on my countertop. If you simply allowed a USB-C to USB-C cable, I could use a much shorter cable and it would look much cleaner. Also, slightly annoying for a premium product that it does not come with a charging block. I have a black Play and a white Play so I needed to find USB-C blocks for both of them. But mostly, come on, give me a dock option with a removable wire!
GreetingsDoes anyone have a television without any handshake issues with Sonos arc ultra I am about to upgrade my television and would like some advice to avoid this
The ungoing rear speakers dilemma My Era 300s are fantastic as rear surrounds with my Arc and Sub. They’re also fantastic as a stereo pair for music. But moving between those two setups means removing them as surrounds, creating a stereo pair, running Trueplay again, and then reversing the whole process when I want my home theater back.I’ve just read about Sonos Fabric and its Positioning Technology, and my first thought was: could this finally be the answer?Sonos says compatible speakers will be able to recognize where they’ve been placed and change roles automatically. A Move 2 or Sonos Play can become a rear surround when it’s moved into position, without the owner having to rebuild the system manually.I know this hasn’t been announced for the Era 300, and I understand the technical details may be different. But if Sonos is now building speakers that can change roles depending on how they’re being used, this feels like the perfect opportunity to revisit the Era 300.What I’d love is
Hi! I have some weird and annoying problem with my sonos system. When I initially start playing music from my iPhone or iPad via AirPlay to a single amp orPort, there is just silence. It takes about 2mins or so before it then suddenly starts playing. Alternatively I always need to kinda kickstart the speaker by playing something through the Sonos app. And then also AirPlay work fine.I use these zones only every now and then. I suppose so they have enough time to eventually go into some kind of sleep or deep sleep state… The problem does not occur when they are idling just for a day or so. When I start AirPlay it connects (so no connection errors). Also music on the phone is happily playing. Just, there is no sound. The components are all hardwired with WiFi disabled. the WiFi access points are ruckus. This issue has persisted for years and is very reproducible. I have not delved into the minutia of my network setup so maybe there’s an arcane setting or feature I need to disable or en

Hello all. I’ve owned Sonos gear since 2005:I created my first local music library back before streaming services. It contains several hundred albums of music - some of which are not available via online services - on a 64BG thumb drive; I first had the drive connected to the USB port of a router - until that was obsoleted due to security concerns; For many years, my solution was to use an Apple Airport Extreme as a router or dedicated file sharing gizmo; All of that was broken when the decision to drop support SMB v1 took place.I have tried, on my own and with the Sonos support folks, to figure out a way to regain access to this music. I haven’t been able to justify the cost of adding a NAS server. This summer, I used some of the AI tools to see if there was a solution using an inexpensive router that had SMB v2 support:There is an inexpensive [$29.99] router made by GL.iNet called a Mango; If you’re willing to spend some time tweaking its software, you can get it to act as a local m
