Full TV audio

Dear Sonos Team,

Can you please add a Full TV Audio option for Era 100s used as surrounds.

Currently, they only play surround-channel content. The workaround is to separate and group them with the Arc Ultra, but this can cause delay and requires separate volume control through the Sonos app.

Not everyone wants surround-only playback. Please add:

TV Surround Playback

  • Surround
  • Full

Full would play the complete TV mix, including dialogue, through the Era 100s while keeping them bonded to the Arc Ultra with unified volume control.

Since full TV audio already works when the speakers are grouped separately, this seems like a useful software option to add.

This will lead to so many people confusing it with real surround, thereby reflecting badly on the Sonos name. I for one could do without it.

That’s exactly why it should be optional, not a replacement for true surround. Keep Surround as the default, and add Full for users who prefer stronger, room-filling TV audio. Sonos already offers this choice for music, so the concept is familiar and clearly labeled

Might be good for party use, need a good indication it was enabled so folks don't leave it on in error.

I could see a related nice to have as an option for stereo programming. Feed the full right/left signal to the surrounds, maybe also feed a l+r signal to the center and height channels too. You could even enable the front driver on Era-300s if present to really fill the room with sound.

The idea seems simple, how many would use it questionable, and the confusion factor is probably the key issue.
