We have been waiting for so long to use Sonos move speakers as surround speakers, and finally it is there… but only working on 2nd generation of Move Speakers ?! really?!
Can someone explain me why 1st Gen don’t have this ability ? Technically I mean, because software pov, I’m sure it’s not an issue.
Because the feature requires them to have ultra-sonic location capabilities, specifically in the hardware of the microphone array, that weren’t thought of at the time they were designed.

Sonos Positioning Technology is only available with Sonos Play and Move 2.
