Hello! I have my Sonos move 2 connected to the Amazon Alexa app. Whenever I check the device page on Alexa it shows it’s connected on the love 2 speaker however when I click on that speaker in the app it says it’s offline in red. Anyone have this issue?
Well I waisted 90 mins of my day today on an issue with the S2 App. The problem is that my paired Play 3’s in my Study appear in my S2 App on my phone, but whenever I leave the app (with the music playing), and go back into the App, the App shows no music and I cannot therefore control the music volume etc. Useless when I need to pause the music immediately. Eventually it reappears after 45-60 seconds, but repeats each time I leave the S2 app to do something else on my phone. So after speaking to the Sonos Support helpline on the phone, they decided that it was because my Play3’s are too old and the processor cannot cope anymore! It was suggested I upgrade (save 15% on the upgrade programme). I won’t be doing this.I’m posting this because this is the biggest load of rubbish I’ve experienced in 15 years of using Sonos and spending thousands of £ on equipment. I have a cinema set up, portable, one in my bedroom and another pair in my kitchen. The reason this is rubbish is because w
hello I would like to connect my TV to the sonos amp but I can only use an optical cable already installed (sheath in the walls) is there a possibility to connect it via an adapter?thanks
When things first started going wrong I was hopeful it would soon be fixed. But here we are months later and it still does not work. I’ve been using Sonos since 2006. I have two surround systems which I used with Apple TVs. I’ve managed to sell my other speakers but occasionally I like to listen to music without the TV … and it’s simply too frustrating now.
Attention Sonos iOS App "Developers" (and I use that term loosely),Congratulations! You've achieved the impossible - pushing me to the brink of sanity and onto a community forum. Bravo! To the illustrious team behind this digital masterpiece: have you considered a career change? Perhaps to something more suited to your talents, like professional crayon testers or professional line-standers? Because let's face it, your current output wouldn't impress a toddler with a Fisher-Price toy phone.Your app updates, arriving with the frequency of Halley's Comet, are less "new release" and more "new reason to question human evolution." I've seen more advanced technology in a potato clock. So here's a novel idea: why not invest in some basic iOS training? Or better yet, invest in a time machine, go back to high school, and pay attention this time. Because right now, your app is the digital equivalent of a flip-flop in a marathon - utterly useless and painfully out of place. In conclusion, for the lov
Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide placement of the Sonos by Sonance Architectural speakers for my patio. Since I'm an audio novice, trying to see if anyone could offer advice for speaker placement.Attached is the layout of the patio (brown) and yard (light green). The black areas are where the house is located. The numbers are roughly the dimensions (in feet) of the yard. There are three potential speaker locations in red, green, and blue circles. What two speaker positions out of the three would work best for coverage of the patio and yard?Thank you!
Request 1: Please introduce some kind of volume normalization like the native Spotify app has. I use Sonos at work and find big volume differences prohibitive for work playlists Request 2: Please add the ability to queue a playlist to Play Next already Shuffled. As of now, I can only add a playlist, and then reshuffle the entire list. I'd like to play a low energy playlist initially, and then add a higher energy playlist later on, but not risk reshuffling already played songs. I understand that I could simply remove the current queue, but this feature would give me more flexibility when I'm busy at work Thanks!
I can use my Sonos music library on my Synology NAS using MacOS.I can not use my Sonos music library on my Synology NAS using my preferred devices iPad OS or IOS on my iPhone.I can occasionally use the library on maybe one or two occasions after deleting and re adding the path on the iPad OS app. It has never maintained access overnight. When I try and detect the music library - nothing. When I scan for new content it scans and the Synology NAS show activity. When I use the iPad OS Files app I can easily access the music folder on my NAS.Does anyone know when or, even IF, Sonos plans to fix this disastrous Sonos app for IOS for use with a NAS drive?
Amazon Music Unlimited still limits the number of tracks that can be loaded into the queue. That limit is 500. There is a way, though, to load more than 500 tracks. I had a playlist that was 689 tracks long. I wanted all those tracks in the queue. So I split that playlist into two playlists. The first had 350 tracks and the second had the rest. I loaded the first playlist into the queue then added the second playlist using Add to End of Queue. That gave me all 689 tracks.
Hi all. I recently bought a turntable (Project debut carbon evo) which is connected to a pair of fives via a RCA to 3.5mm cable. It’s my first turntable so very new and still learning (more complicated than I imagined). The turntable is connected via an external pre-amp (Pro-Ject Phono Box E Phono Pre Amplifier) As soon as I select ‘line in’ as the source in the Sonos app I get what I would describe as static/white noise from the right speaker connected to the line in. I do not get this from the wireless speaker. Sound quality is still generally good on playback but having heard it, it’s bugging me and it must be impairing the sound quality. Is this normal? If not any suggestions on how to resolve? The turntable and amp are grounded and I’ve checked all connections are secure etc. thanks
My Sonos speakers unexpectedly cut off then come back on. When I look at my speakers some of them are connected to my xfinity pods vice the gateway. How do I fix that?
How do I get my Sonos beam, one and sub in sync with my new era speakers, is good high clear sound on my era but the others is very low anyone having this problem?
Changed my wifi provider and with old Sonos products did a full reset and managed to get all my iTunes music into my Sonos library on my laptop, so All my music plays fine form my laptop. However, when I try to add Apple Music to my IOS Sonos app with my Apple id and password I get the message “We have run into a problem, please try again”. Can anyone help please.
Hello as the topic says I Upgraded system to Era 300’s with my existing Arc. Set up my 300’s with full anticipation set up some music and did hear a noticeable different. A bit more fuller in sound. Then I watched my favourite TV’s which I do way more then listening music and my hearth sank beneath the bottom of the earth straight into hell itself. Did i just get scammed? The tv shows are often 5.1 digital. Not atmos. The ones do not support Atmos, so for the few things i do watch in it and love hearing, I thought hell yea, i can afford to upgrade, lets do it! But its NOT a upgrade!? The 5.1 digital shows so far I hear nothing in the back, even at +15 volume on the surround option, nothing, the One’s were so much better! And the content on all the streaming are often 5.1. I read that the central speaker of the Eras gets turned off when put into surround? Fine, if thats what makes Atmos work/hear better do it, but if its not, turn it back on!? Please? I got a feeling that THAT are the s
Until yesterday I enjoyed listening music in dolby atmos by streaming Apple Music via the Sonos app to my era 300 stereo pair. Today my arc ultra and sub 4 arrived; I created one system with the era 300 pair as surrounds. Strangely enough The dolby atmos badge no longer appears when I stream music from Apple Music via the Sonos app. The spatial music flag is enabled, so I don’t understand why Dolby atmos isn’t working anymore. Any suggestions?thanks!
Hello everyone, I bought the Sonos Era 300, I follow all the instructions regarding the connection with Alexa but I cannot use it. I have a message that the Device is offline. Some settings may not be available.I tested everything with no results. Multiple reconfigurations, re-enables of skills, changing location (the current is Greece) .Do you have any suggestions?
Hi all,I noticed that my arc ultra has completely different levels when streaming music (I use Tidal) vs when I watch TV.When I watch TV my volume is typically around 20-25, depending on the content. But with music, I need 60-70 to sound roughly at same volume level IF the music is streamed directly to the arc ultra. However, if I send music to my tv’s Tidal app, the volume is back to normal, the sound seems fuller (more bass) and I'm back at 20-25. Same goes if I use the Tidal app on my appletv. This suggests that sonos is applying different settings when streaming music, which is not completely new (my sonos amp also does this). However, it seems that the difference on the ultra is much much more pronounced, which makes me wonder if there's some latent issue?
dose sonos work with tp link axe5400 mesh system?
People not skilled at windows have struggled to add music to their library. This is what I did Ok, I am new Sonos user and downloaded and installed the windows app onto my Windows11 PC. I got he 913 error initially and did the following (refer to picture)My Pc is called MARTIN-PC so the full network path to it is \\MARTIN-HP\Music.I right-clicked and chose Properties, selected the Sharing folder I shared it.Then I selected Advanced Sharing, checked Share this folder and then clicked the Permissions button.Clicked the Add… button which gives a Select User or Groups window.I typed Sonos in the text box and hit the check names button. It filled in the full name (in my case MARTIN-PC\Sonos).Selected this line in the text box and hit OK.The Permissions for Music window was reactivated and the Sonos Wireless HiFi System appeared in the upper list.I selected it, then added Change permission to Allow (Read was already checked)After hitting OK a few times, back to Sonos app and it worked just f

Feature request. I would have thought this would already be possible but can we have a feature where we can use two era 300s as a stereo pair when bonded as surrounds. Would be great if I could use them as surrounds when needed but then quickly switch them to a stereo pair if I wanted to use them for music play back by themselves. Would give users a bigger use case scenario and for the cost more versatile.
Hoping for some advice here 😊I have the Epson LS12000 connected to a HdFury VRROOM (from the projector's eARC output to the HDMI TX0 input) and a cable from my Sonos Arc to the eARC Audio input on the VRROOM. However, while trying to install the Arc on the app I get a message saying "HDMI ARC not detected". Any advise? As additional information, I have a PS5, a Nintendo and an Apple TV connected to the VRROOM. All cables are high quality HDMI 2.1. The one running from the Sonos Arc to the VRROOM has the "device" side of the cable connected to the speaker and the "display" side is connected to the VRROM.I would truly appreciate all the help I can get - since this is driving me crazy 😊
My system is currently a mix of S1 and S2 products. I would like to upgrade them all to S2, but I have one (Play:5) that isn’t S2 compatible. I have an idea to get the Play:5 to work on an S2 system, please let me know if you think this will work. 1: I have an S2 compatible Connect:Amp2: Use speaker wire to RCA out of the Connect:Amp3: RCA to aux connection4: Aux line in to Play:5I know I’ll probably have to control volume separately on the S1 app for this, but it seems like I’ll least be able to group the Play:5 (via Connect:Amp) with the rest of the system this way. Any thoughts?
My SONOS ROAM suddenly dropped off my network and I cannot make it reconnect again. The light by the logo will not light up at all (during an attempt to reboot it, for example) but the led at the other end, shows a solid orange for a few seconds and then nothing. So, right now, I have a brick that looks like a speaker. The iPhone app is confusing and offers zero help (when trouble strikes it’s essentially useless); there is no way to delete a speaker and attempt to add it again (this would seem a most basic function but not to SONOS).Any suggestions?Thank you.A.C.
