I have a Samsung Q950 tv with a dedicated eARC HDMI.My tv apps like Netflix and Disney+ detect that I have Atmos supported hardware and when I play something, it works flawlessly. On my consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5, the sound in game stops for a sec and then resumes.I do have to clarify that on my Xbox I have the Dolby Atmos app installed and on my PS5 I have the latest update that finally supports Atmos.Maybe it’s a setting I have to change on the tv or on my consoles but I’m not proficient enough with every option (or the best).Any advise is MUCH appreciated, have such an expensive setup, and this is annoying.
Hello - I’m facing a very odd issue. I have 2 One SLs on the Sanus stand connected to beam and sub mini. One of the SL speaker is vibrating on specific high bass sounds. The thing is that the vibration is coming when the stand is on the floor. If I hold the stand in the air, the vibration doesn’t come on the same bass sound. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.
When will Sonos Voice Control work ok with Youtube Music? I want to speak to my Sonos Roam in the bathroom. Giving commands like «play something from Nirvana», «play relaxing music».Not able to do this. I can’t believe it! Please fix this already. When will Sonos get this basic functionality?
Hi, previously when I added Sonos devices that have Alexa, they both show up as speakers but also can be selected in a group (room) to be the primary or one of several echos in the room that can then control certain functions (like when saying “Alexa, turn on lights” it can be limited to just turning on lights in that room. However, yesterday added a pair of Era 100 speakers, enabled Alex, and it is added and has Alexa enabled, but when I go to the app to add the Sonos speakers, I can add them as the speakers to a group for control, but neither speaker shows up specifically as an Echo device I can add to the group. Anyone else experience this, and how you remedied? I tried taking Alex off and re-enabling, hoping this would fix things, but it is not.
Hello, I have an sonos playbar which do not power on, i saw this topic:i checked the mainboard inside and it has the same blown chip as on the photo's on the forum. So i replaced it, and turn it on again but the same chip blow again.Do someone know what the problem is?
Any advice or help gratefully received! TIA!I’ve had a Playbar and 2 Play1 speakers for about 10 years which have served me well. However, space wise I need to move the Playbar out to create more room. The question is, should I get the Ray (much smaller for a compact room) with 2 Era 100 speakers, just the Era speakers and connect them via Bluetooth from my smart TV (Samsung) or just the Ray and use it with the 2 Play 1 speakers? Thank you!
Has anyone successfully connected a Sonos Beam Gen 2 to a Samsung Oddessy Neo G7 monitor? That monitor doesn’t have built in speakers and I want to run my PS5 audio thru it with visuals coming thru the screen. The monitor accepts two HDMI 2.1 ports. Surely it’s plug and play similar to a EARC smart TV?
I have recently been having issues with very low audio levels from my Sonos Connect which plays through speakers via a tuner (at the highest volumes on Sonos and the tuner I could just barely hear music from my speakers). After some trouble-shooting (including using the loop-through method suggested in support), I isolated the problem as a failure in the RCA ouput.I spent a fair amount of time with customer support technicians who ran diagnostics several times. However, those diagnostics apparently did not reveal any problems (exactly what they do is unclear). Eventually, they wanted me to do various cable re-arrangements etc. As I had already connected, disconnected, swapped etc. multiple cables multiple times from various devices that was not going to yield any answers. My conclusion is that there must be some circuity in the Connect that has failed and resulted in the RCA outputs not delivering meaningful signal. The customer service people were not able to confirm that, but t
I think the community is aware that to use two Sonos systems in two locations (e.g. primary home and vacation home) we are currently required to have separate accounts for each. This forces an upgrade to a family plan for Prime Music Unlimited or paying for two separate accounts. Given how long this issue has been out there, it doesn’t seem likely allowing us to use one account on either system is happening soon. I do understand the single stream restriction is from Amazon based on my individual subscription plan, however I do think Sonos could make it easier on their user community for finding a creative compromise. For example, since the system needs to be linked to an account, why not make it selectable within the Sonos 2 app. I can pick which system is “active” with my account and that makes the other system inactive until I select otherwise. Right now, my option is to delete it from one, set it up at the other and then repeat the process when I go home. A lot of extra work
I have several Sonos speakers in my home in several different rooms. I just got a new Sonos speaker that I want to use at my office (not in my home, ie, a completely separate location, wifi network, etc). I am trying to set up the speaker at the office and I want it to be completely independent of the home system but when I go in to the app it is recognizing that I am on a different wi fi network and asking if I want to connect my products to this network. I am assuming that means ALL products...including those that are in my home. How do I set up my new office speaker so that I can see two “systems” (home and office) in my Sonos app? Please provide step by step instructions.
I recently purchased an Era 100, and I’m having an issue with the Bluetooth audio. I can pair it to my PC, phone, and tablet successfully, but it’s not playing any audio. I have rebooted all devices (including the Era 100 itself), removed and repaired it several times, set it as the default output device,, ran troubleshooters on Windows etc, etc. Everything is up to date. So far I have only been able to use the Sonos app or select the Era 100 as the playback device on my Spotify account to get audio playback. *Its set as the system default on my PC, all other apps and programs are set to default. *On PC/Android (Bluetooth paired to Era 100)→ Spotify → Playback device → PC/Android → no audio*Spotify → Playback Device → Sonos Era → Plays audio I would like to use it for other apps/programs/streaming services, but I have only had success with music applications and changing the playback device to the Era itself. I was thinking that it could be a Windows issue, but I run into the same pro
I was quite frankly shocked that the new and improved Move 2 actually has diminished functionality compared to its predecessor. It’s jarring to discover that a new generation of technology is less integrated, less compatible and less useful. Like many in this community, I’ve set up a vast wireless system complete with several smart devices and Sonos has always been an integral component to controlling the entire system. I hope that this will be resolved, otherwise perhaps the original Move and all of the older Google Assistant compatible Sonos speakers are the better solution. This is a real shame since great audio quality is what we’re here for, but not without the utility we’ve come to expect from Sonos. Thanks so much.Perry
HelloReceived my two Move 2’s today...really excited to finally have them. I sold my two previous Moves but didn’t realize how much I’d miss them until they were gone. I used the Moves in my office to listen to music or when I wanted to listen without disturbing the wife. Here are my impressions thus far…UnboxingThe experience was on par with unboxing an Apple product. Clean and Simple. One pull tab and you’re in. Very eco-friendly. I’m really digging the Olive color as it really looks cool. A nice change from my original black Moves (and/or the white). Both Move 2’s arrived with 31% battery charge.SetupPlug in the Charging Ring Set the Move 2 on the charging ring Open the Sonos app Follow the animations The entire process took approximately 7-10 minutes from start to finish including acquiring my network, update and enabling Alexa.SoundOne Move 2 is definitely an improved sound over the original Move. The two outward angled tweeters present a much wider sound stage vs the downward fac
It’s funny how coincidences occur….In a recent thread regarding the Sonos Move 2 one participant indicated that they were disappointed in the fact that the cloth bag included with the original Move is no longer part of the packaging with the Move 2. I commented that Sonos like many companies are moving toward a more environmental friendly packaging concept with the use of recycleded materials and eliminating packing contents deemed unnecessary (i.e the cloth bag for the Move). Another member commented how they had made use of the cloth bag with the original Move and felt it was a “climate friendly part of the boxing since it’s the only thing that could really be reused”.Well, the question(s) of the cloth bag being useful for packaging, other uses or not; may soon be answered in the Sonos Live Q&A on September 28, 2023_11am PDT (10am MDT / 9am CDT / 8am EDT) regarding Sonos’ packaging unboxing experience and sustainable approach to design. If you opted to receive email communicati
Anyone else think the balance option is needed for there .
It’s 11:01PM CST, September 18, 2023I pre-ordered my Sonos Move 2’s on September 7th. My order status shows as “Allocated”. Just curious if anyone who pre-ordered the Move 2 has seen their order status change to “Shipped” or are you one of the lucky one’s who may have received theirs 😊. Currently the Sonos website shows no restriction on shipping for any color of the Move 2 and placing an order shows each product (color) as “in stock”Please indicate the date of your pre-order and current order status; if you choose to reply. As a side note I did receive two of my Era 300’s on the day the pre-order shipping was to start which meant Sonos started shipping prior to the published pre-order ship date. I’ll update this post when I receive mine.
Why This light indicates that the speaker is powered on and functioning properly. How listen the music on speakers properly. Today indicates lights also represent Solid White Light.
My Play 5 keeps cutting out and it is the closest speaker to the router, there are no problems with the other two speakers I have further away.I went to update to S2 as the app said I need to update. I did this and it tells me my Play 5 is not compatible with S2 and when I try to add it back on to the old S1 system it forces me to update to S2 which is not compatible.I am completely stuck, anyone have any insight?
Hi Could someone please explain the most effective use of TV/Music Level settings - What they mean and the most optimal settings for these.
Please FedEx Ground Economy does not protect these expensive speakers because you cannot pick them at a nearby location when you’re not available during delivery. These speakers are too expensive to be left on the porch when the owner is away. Kindly fix. Thanks
I can’t use trueplay anymore. I can’t retune the speaker because I’m afraid it’ll disable for good. I’m using iPhone 14 pro and I’ve used this phone to enable Trueplay at first.
