S1 & Play 5

My Play 5 keeps cutting out and it is the closest speaker to the router, there are no problems with the other two speakers I have further away.

I went to update to S2 as the app said I need to update. I did this and it tells me my Play 5 is not compatible with S2 and when I try to add it back on to the old S1 system it forces me to update to S2 which is not compatible.

I am completely stuck, anyone have any insight?

Which Play 5 generation do you have?

Sonos is seeing a glitch that may be part of your problem.

Not sure if your product is Gen 1, Gen 2, or Gen 3? Check the System section of your Sonos account page to find out if your products are compatible with S2. Some products may not show what Gen they are, so look for Sonos S1 Required next to any products that are not compatible with S2.
