Recently purchased a sonos 5 gen 2 second hand.I've tried connecting to my WiFi but the Sonos 5 is not found. I've tried connecting by Etherley not found. I've reset by unplugging and holding the connect button while plugging in after a few seconds the light flashes white and orange then changes to white and green. Still no connection.
Hello everybody,I’ve been unable to use my LG magic remote to control my Sonos Playbase for a whole year.I’ve got an LG C7 OLED, a Sonos Playbase and 2 Sonos Play:1s set up for surround. I want to get a Sonos Sub and a couple of Sonos 1s to have around the house, but being unable to control my existing Sonos products with my TV’s remote control is not really inspiring me to spend more. I’ve already spent around 1000 euros for the existing setup as it is. Internal TV speakers just don’t cut it.To this date the only similar topic I have found on this forum is this one by user earplugs: Playbase and LG Magic remote | Sonos CommunityIt was all working fine until about a year ago, when I moved country. Everything remained in storage for a period of time, and I started setting it all up again probably in early July. I remember the TV got a firmware update as soon as I took it online, and since then the TV’s menu options have changed massively. Device Connector on my LG TV is no longer giving
I am doing a large TV room for a client and would like to use an Amp for the ARC function within the TV. However, this is a LARGE room and I would like to do a large 3rd party amp somehow using a speaker to line converter. Any thoughts on this? I tried a basic speaker to line converter on an Amp previously but was unsuccessful. I got very distorted signal regardless of volume level. So,, big room need big power than Amp supplies but want functionality of Audio Return feature of amp, just wish it had 300W per channel!
Good evening all. I’ve just currently purchased the Sonos arc, sub gen 3 and two era 300. All are still currently boxed as decorating my lounge. The length of my lounge is 6m. As you will see my tv is placed on one wall and the opposite side has a bifold door. Where my sofa sits it’s in the centre of room right in front of tv and sits in line with end of wall on left and right. Now do I put my era 300 in line with my sofa highlighted as A on wall or do I go with option 2 highlighted as B on the ceiling just in front of curtain pole upside down? All advice would be greatly appreciated.
After the recent Sonos update, Sirius channels will not play through the speaker. Please advise of the fix for the Sirius channels not playing through the Sonos speaker after one proceeds with the most recent Sonos update. Thanks.Moderator edit: combined posts
Hi, I recently bought a new TV (LG G36), Sonos Arc, 2 x Era 300s and a sub mini. When it’s working, it’s a fantastic sound. However…I’ve been experiencing what can only be described as an electric “popping” noise, and occasional audio loss (about 3-4 seconds) on my Arc.Without fail, every evening, there will be a popping noise (sometimes when also using my iPhone and randomly scrolling websites/apps, but it might only be coincidental), and audio also sometimes disappears. The plopping noise (quite high pitched, but not a loud bang) happens too often to be ignored. This happens not only with Atmos content, but also watching a movie where the Sonos app showed up as Dolby 5.1. However, all my settings (TV, PS5, Sonos app) are all geared up for Dolby Atmos (why I bought the expensive system!) and special / surround audio. Any advice how to fix would be appreciated- my wife is complaining it’s a waste of (significant) money and wants it all returned - and it’s hard to argue with her to be ho
hello thanks for accepted me in the group. my question is problem when bring my sonos move to my sugar shack and wen i bring it back home if i ask alexa to play a game work great but if i command to play a radio station exemple play the no shoe radio sonos will respond and that is going to no shoe radio but nothing work. thanks
The only way to get Era 100 on Sonosnet is by using the Sonos Combo Adapter. Without it Era 100 is relying on my home wifi to connect. My wifi isn't as stable as it should be, therefor my Era 100 is suffering from the occasional dropouts. That's saddening. Ever since I've been using Sonosnet in combination with fixed IP addresses in my router I haven't had any dropouts. That's since about 10 years!I think it's a grave mistake Sonos eliminated the Sonosnet wireless option from Era 100. I'd like it reintroduced very much.
Hello, Need advice with multi hdmi inputs set-up to LG OLED TV (ARC only).Devices:LG OLED TV (ARC only) + HDFury Arcana for eARCXBOX OnePS5Panasonic Blu-rayFireTV (All steaming Apps set-up here)Sonos Arc with Sub and Era 300 surrounds Looking for a HDMI switch that can support Xbox & PS5 frame rate and handle all the HDMI inputs for simpler management.Plan is to connect all devices to switch then TV out to HDFury (for eARC & TV split). Hi,When I connect to my IKEA Symfonisk speaker via Airplay from my MacBook Air it only works for a few seconds (maybe minutes). After that the sound switches over to the computer’s internal speakers and the Symfonisk is totally “broken”. Can’t reconnect to it in anyway. The phone app also stopped working. The only thing I can do is to unplug the power and restart. If I try again, I get the same problem…I did find some old post with a similar problem description. There they discussed wifi channel interference/problems - really? How could a product like this (totally wifi dependent) be this sensitive to something like that. /Anders
Hello all Good People🫶 This is just a shoot in the dark…i have just bought two Ikea Symfonisk Lamps.(Gen 2 red.anm) Been listen to it for a couple of days now. I got it on my bedside-table in my bedroom at grannys place. The other one is in grannys livingroom….anyway.I feel like the Ikea Symf.Lamp got like Era 100 signature to it in sound. Do they have the same drivers inside perhaps? Anyone been dismantle them? Like doing some surgery… Personally i have not been thinking of doing so not to break warrenty.Be Well🙏
Why do I have to listen to “Sonos” advertisement when I start my Move. I have already paid for the product and object to having to listen to “Sonos Ad’s” when I turn on my Move. How do I disable this?
Going out of my mind here folks !!Sonos speaker starts playing a Spotify playlist (much later) after I have left the house & WiFiCurrent hardware/software which is obviously always changing with updates:> Iphone 15 Pro> Spotify App and also desktop versions on Macbook Pro and Air. > Sonos (plenty of them around the house) w/ 1 continual offending culprit - Sonos Play 1Problem statement:Go in to home gym, utilize Iphone 15 Pro to play music from Spotify App to a specific Sonos Play 1. When done, sometimes I press pause on Spotify app, sometimes pause, close app, etc… regardless, music stops / pauses play. Sound is done etc.. gone.Leave the house in 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sometimes play music with USB to Iphone and through Apple Car Play in Jeep. Make a few stops. Generally a few hours later, when getting back in car, wife claims Sonos speaker in gym is playing music again. Tonight, I had happened to be out of the car, car shut off, and was maybe 2-3 miles from house. On
Saludos. Google Translate:Hello, I have a home theater made up of an arc bar, 1 gen 3 sub, and 2 rear one sl speakers. I am going to replace the rear speakers with 2 era 300 speakers. They have not arrived yet and I hope the change is noticeable. Is it worth installing a second sub? And where is it best to place it? I have the first sub on the front to the right of the bar.Greetings.
So i just took advantage of the 30% off upgrade and got a Beam 2. But have to say its the first sonos item i am now impressed with and would likely return under 100 day. I have a gen 1 beam paired with sub mini. In a small living room.Using Netflix ane other streaming apps gaming and movies. Intitially i thoaght it was slightly less bassey than the gen 1 in a good way. But after running some films at same parts and swapping between the two. Its a let down other than a metal grille i see not advancement. I dont have tru play and kept settings the same for both.
Beginning to realize you can't group the sonos products
This post is not intended to insinuate that you will need to purchase more 3rd party equipment in order to enjoy your Sonos. It is meant to provide insight just the same as your doctor might provide insight on how to live a healthier life style. In doing so your doctor may make recommendations and suggest how to recognize symptoms that require a health-course correction/change. Please read this with an open mind. Let’s begin…The first step to having a worry free Sonos setup is a well-functioning network. If you purchased a basic router seven (7) years ago you should strongly consider replacing it with newer technology. Experts recommend replacing your router every five (5) years. Greetings Audiophiles! My Sonos system, Beam Gen 2, 2-One SL’s & Sub mini are positioned in condo living room with 12-15 ft ceilings. I rarely push the volume past 40.Our home office is adjacent to the living room and wondering how can I use and/or setup my MacBook to run the 2-One SL’s as a separate system?I “think” adding the ERA 100’s [ERA 300’s might be tooo much?] where the 2-One SL’s were in the living room would refine my living room experience very nicely.
Hello, I am looking to connect my vinyl to my Sonos system. I have a Project Essential III turntable with built in Line OUT with integrated preamplifier. I have ordered an Era 100 and the official SONOS Line in / USB C adapter. Am i right in thinking that all i need now is an RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect the turntable to the Sonos USB C adaptor? If so, can anyone recommend a good one? Happy to spend £10- 20 on it , maybe a bit more if its going to make a big difference. Thanks in advance.
Hello there I‘m a proud owner of an Arc, Sub and 2xEra 300. As great the Surround Setup is for Movies, I think that two Era 300 on it‘s own as a stereo pair sounds better. The best setup would be if the Era 300 keep their full functionality when playing music in combination with the Arc+Sub. I actually can achieve this by sending an Airplay Signal to the Stereo pair and to the Arc at the same time. The problem with this is, when I want to watch a movie I have to pair the Era 300s with the Arc+Sub to get the full emersive experience. Is there a resolution planned yet? This is something that many Era 300 owners wish for. Feel free to comment and get into good discussions among enthusiasts 😁
Really struggling to stream Apple Music using the Sonos app. I keep seeing “Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Apple Music”. Though after several attempts I can get some of my albums to display. Then when I select an album to play the message reappears, or a couple of random tracks from the album might play.Problem occurs on Mac, iPad and iPhone. Only change to my system is new fibre modem installed last week. Router and WiFi network however are unchanged. All my other 20 networked items are behaving just fine.I’m at a loss as to what the issue might be. Any suggestions appreciated.
Hi, I have recently purchased Sonos Beam 2. As I was googling it, I saw multiple “Beams getting disconnected from TV” issues like this -. I am thinking of getting one of the following TV. All has eArc HDMI port. All 3 has different smart TV platforms. Any suggestion on which one may work best with Beams 2?Sony 65" Class - X90CL - https://www.costco.com/sony-65%22-class---x90cl-series---4k-uhd-led-lcd-tv---allstate-3-year-protection-plan-bundle-included-for-5-years-of-total-coverage*.product.4000186628.htmlSamsung 65" Class - Q80C Series - https://www.costco.com/samsung-65%22-class---q80c-series---4k-uhd-qled-lcd-tv---allstate-3-year-protection-plan-bundle-included-for-5-years-of-total-coverage*.product.4000153223.htmlLG 65" Class - OLED B3 Series - https://www.costco.com/lg-65%22-class---oled-b3-series---4k-uhd-oled-tv----allstate-3-year-protection-plan-bundle-included-for-5-years-of-total-coverage*.product.4000175649.html
Even if money and significant other were not an issue, I don’t see anyone having four Era 300’s in their main living space (two for music, two for home theater surrounds). A stereo pair of HomePods allow you to easily go from music to home theater listening. I’m hoping Sonos can provide a software update to allow switching between these two modes without having to remove surrounds, create a stereo pair, remove stereo pair and add surrounds again constantly. Thank you.
After 4 calls to Sonos, the first 3 reps worked hard to diagnosis issue and couldn’t figure out what was causing this issue but the 4th rep advise this is the new functionality after last week’s software update. Here’s the problem. I have a Sonos Arc system connected to my home theater TV. I never use that system for anything other than watching TV as we have other Sonos speakers for listening to music. Starting last week when I turned on my TV, I was getting no sound from the Arc regardless of the app I chose on my Apple TV device and I couldn’t figure out why. Lots of restarting devices and troubleshooting. The only way I was able to get sound back after hours of trying different things was to use a Surround Sound test app that sent individual sounds to each of the surround sound speakers and subwoofers and then the sound would work fine again until I paused the TV or turned off the TV, then I would loose sound again. When I would look in the Sonos App on my phone, it would show the
