I have a YouTube premium account but can't connect the service to my new sonos one SL.I’m using Samsung S20 android and all apps are up to date. When I select my existing Google account after I use the verification code it says "Success device connected" in Google but when I go back to the sonos app it says:"Connection error. There was a problem adding the YouTube music account. A connection to YouTube music could not be made"
J’ai changé le nom et le code de mon réseau WIFI MAIS mon réseau reste toujours avec le même opérateur ET je n’arrive plus à connecter mon enceinte/lampe bloetooth
Hello,I have 3x Sonos speakers; 1x Sonos Move and 2x Sonos One purchased around 2021. I have the speakers configured both in the Sonos app, as well as integrated into Apple Home. Primary use case for adding the speakers into Home was to be able to leverage Siri to play music in room that speaker resides. Everything worked great until about 6 months ago when the following errors began appearing on any and all apple devices.Apple TViPhoneIt is worth mentioning that there was no attempt to airplay content to the Sonos speakers when the message appeared. It is also worth mentioning that I am able to airplay content if want to. It is almost as if the connection is severed while the speakers are in standby mode causing a persistent pop up. The larger issue is that this pop up pauses the content on the iOS device and continues to pop up every 60 seconds or so until the speakers are finally unplugged. This has made the speakers virtually unusable so I am wondering if this has been encountered
Hi there,I've traveled on holiday bringing my Sonos roam for music in my hotel room. When I left home the Sonos worked without fault. Now in Bali I have the green flashing light? All I want to do it connect via Bluetooth but can't do that either. How do I reconnect? I've tired the app and it asked for me to create any account? I have an account. Any idea?
I just got a Sonos One (Gen 2) after reading that Airplay was finally working well with it. I was hoping to use it as my speaker when streaming video from my MacBook Pro, but have been hounded by audio issues–even with it connected via Ethernet to my Airport. The audio cuts out if paused for more than a few seconds. The easiest fix has been to go to Volume in the Menu Bar, switch the output device to something else and then back to Sonos. It's a pain to have to do this over and over. The audio comes back without much delay. I noticed that there is a substantial delay when I go to unpause music that's been paused for a bit as well, but not as bad as when unpausing Netflix or Youtube. The audio also cuts out in minute drops every now and then, which probably just comes from AirPlay sucking up my shitty wifi's bandwidth as I've read in other posts. Given all the other unresolved issues I have read about and the hassle that was setting this up over the phone since the app's automated set
We use Amazon Music as our chosen streaming service on a variety of Sonos speakers. We use both because we love the sound of high quality music and HD/UHD/Dolby Atmos played through Sonos speakers is fantastic.Unfortunately, when music is requested through Alexa or the Amazon Music, it is only ever played in SD format, which is no comparison when played on a Dolby Atmos compatible Sonos speaker. Seems a bit strange Sonos can integrate Alexa but doesn't make the most of high quality audio.I know we could ask Sonos Voice Control instead but that regularly doesn't find the song we want as easily as Alexa does.Is there any indication if Sonos and Amazon Music are working together to fix this so we get the best quality audio streamed via Alexa?
It appears Sonos ARC speaker has issues with the HDMI cable connection. Does Sonos have a definitve response to all the potential solutions for this? Lots of people reporting issues that their HDMI cable will not stay in..all 3 of my ARC speakers have issues with the HDMI cable falling out. Really an unacceptable design flaw for the price point. Please suggest all the possible remedies. HDMI connector, some sort of stabilizing lock, anything. Beyond frustrating
I have an extra Sonos amp laying around and was wondering if it’s possible to make 2 zones out of the 6.1 package?Zone 1: 4 speakers and subwoofer around poolZone 2: 2 speakers for firepit no subwoofer. Would the speakers still sound good without having no sub on this zone?
I have a music library I’ve been nursing along for 20 years. In those 20 years it has lived on a Windows machine, but 11 years ago I migrated to Mac, where it has been since. When the library is reindexed, there are some artists that show up with garbage names. Björk, in particular, but also artists like Ali Farka Touré, whose last name shows up as both “Touré” and “TouĀ(C)” (copyright symbol)Using mp3tag, I’ve examined files from Björk and “BjĀ(p)k” (paragraph symbol) side by side, and they all look fine there. The characters are also rendered correctly in VLC. ffprobe doesn’t show anything either. But the Sonos desktop app has split the album “Gling Gló” into two albums, one rendered correctly and the other looking like a squashed bug. So this is some kind of unicode / UTF-8 issue, either in the tags or in Sonos. Any ideas? Note - the files are not on a NAS but on a local APFS disk. Also, to be clear, the filenames themselves are ASCII-compatible, it’s only the ID3 tag metadata that
I have a Home Theatre set up consisting of an Arc, 2 Era 300s and a sub. As such this itself is a 7.1.4Dolby Atmos setup. However, I still have 2 speakers left in my ceiling which are not part of this set up and it is because currently, there is no way to add any more speakers to these channels. I have connected an amp to these and so they are compatible with S2 but because the app does not recognize them as a part of the HT system, they are there but stand alone. So despite of having multiple speakers, I am not able to take full advantage of it. This is possible to remedy by doing what is suggested next. My suggestion to Sonos is : Allow external speakers to be added per channel. Like when I set up the HT, the app should ask me, do I have more speakers to add? and I say : Yes, the app should now try to locate the Amp and say you want to add this? I say: Yes, the app then chose the left and right channels and adds those speakers…. but the real thing comes no…. the app now also asks me
I use Sonos to listen to SiriusXM shows/episodes, and noticed a big change this week. I had to re-search for my show to find it again as I couldn’t just ‘browse’ for it like before (my favorite went away), and now when I play on-demand content I no longer get to see what song/artist is playing :( This is a big reason why I listen to SiriusXM via Sonos vs. the Alexa app (as Alexa can’t provide that information). Will this functionality be coming back? If not, I guess I’ll have to go back to using the SiriusXM app itself, but I certainly prefer using Sonos for many reasons. Also - SiriusXM finally restored skip forward/back for on-demand content in their apps - curious if this will be carried forward to the Sonos app as well?Really bummed of these changes - I’m sure it’s related to SiriusXM’s horrible app changes these past few months on all platforms. The QA testing was abysmal to say the least.
I keep my music library on a NAS device. I have many albums on there that were ripped from vinyl LPs. As a result the track names don’t include numbers that are needed to ensure that when I play an album it plays in the order the artist intended. Recently I have started to edit the track names to include numbers at the beginning - just as they are when ripped from a CD. My problem is that the changes I have made are not appearing in the music library. If I look at the Folders view in the library all is well and my changes are there. If I navigate via Artist > Album > Tracks nothing has changed and when I play the album it still plays in alphabetical order. What do I need to do to reflect the new track names in the library? I have tried deleting the share and re-adding it which had no effect. I have tinkered with the setting for track ordering, also to no effect. What else can I try?
Does it really make a significant enough difference to add a second Sonos sub instead of just having a single sub? I’ve heard conflicting comments from hi-fi oriented friends posting here to get the viewpoint of those most experienced.
On such premium priced pieces of equipment it feels neglectful that Sonos doesn’t get its s*** together on the controller app and make it so we don’t have to play stupid games to access the Sonos playlists we’ve created as well as making it so the controls consistently show on my Lock Screen. Both are issues I’ve put time into understanding and trying to find work arounds for, both only work somewhere around 15-20% of the time This has been ongoing since I started using Sonos in 2015 which is absolutely obnoxious since I doubt either fix requires more than a little time from any of their average computer coders. I know “adding a new song” to a Sonos playlist will make them reappear but, c’mon SONOS, is that really acceptable to yall?? I mean I’ve been singing you guys praises to everyone whenever talking about your equipment and prob got around $2k in your gear and you can’t even fix simple stuff to make our experience more enjoyable and seamless? Please do better ps. You could alway
Thinking about generating more sound pressure level, and hopefully, keeping the sound more “room filling”, in a room about 35 feet long, and about 18 feet wide could I benefit from using 3 pairs of Fives?Currently I have two pairs of Fives along with two Sub Gen 3 and an Arc. I will within 6 months or so be moving into the room that I just described and my vision was to have the third pair of Fives deployed in the center of the room, but I am wondering about the usefulness of doing this? So assuming that when I really wanted a very immersive listening session, if I sat in the middle of this room would I now just have issues with timing? Clearly the speakers closest to me would be the third pair of Fives. I could theoretically put them in another room so that I had a separate volume slider, and I could make them slightly more quiet to blend in with the other speakers more, but would this actually work?Sorry for the odd question. I am hoping there may be a few people who have attempted s
I use an hdfury Acana to solve lip sync issues with my Sonos arc but the arc won't connect if I have other devices connected with hdmi like a blu Ray player. I have to unplug any other hdmi connected devices and the arc will connect. Any help would be appreciated.
Ciao Community!
Hello. Has anyone already use the website isonatec.com to repair a sonos speaker ? Thanks for your opinion….
Hi everyone.I have an issue each time when I turn on my TV, because I lost the sound. The Sonos beam is connected to HDMI 2 (eARC/ARC) port, however It seems the TV doesn’t recognize the system. Simplelink on the TV is On and in the Sonos app TV Autoplay is On.The only way to solve this problem now is activate eARC compatibility, TV automatically move audio settings to internal speakers, and then I need to change again audio settings to HDMI and deactivate eARC compatibility in order to beam works. Its important to say the sonos app doesn’t recognize that beam is connected to an HDMI ARC port.Have anyone the same problem and found a solution?
I have a Sonos Play 1 which is missing resistor R526 from the main board (don’t ask!) I need to know the value of his single resistor to restore the speaker to working condition, which I’d very much like to do. Does anyone at Sonos have access to the schematics? (Someone must have!) If so, determining the correct value of this resistor should be an easy task, and would not violate any trade secrets. Alternatively, does anyone have a main board on which they could use an ohm meter to actually measure the value in circuit? Any help with my mission would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
Does anyone have any info on when the new sound bar is coming out? I’m sure Sonos hasn’t said anything official, just hoping for some decent speculation. Remodeling the crib and I need to make a move purchase soon.
kind of spooky...
access to sonos app, but can't login and my device wants me to login with this email
I want to use a, era 300 or play 5 in a kitchen cupboard on the top shelf with the doors open, would it be wasted as such? I’d welcome any feedback from yourselves...
I have a Sonos Playbar and Sub connected to my TV, and two Era 100s (just replaced Play 1s) that I have in the kitchen (one large room kitchen + family room). They sound great and perform really well when grouped through the Sonos App. We use Hulu TV and also like YouTube. We like to watch games and watch live music performances on YouTube. Unfortunately, when I try to play through the TV, the Era 100s (and the Play 1s before) cut out a lot. The Playbar sounds fine, but it is directly connected to the TV. Is this an issue I’m getting from the TV itself, the internet or something else?I’m considering getting a new tv regardless, but am curious if this issue will still exist after getting the TV.Thanks
