Controllers and Music services

Till yesterday I could choose different Spotify tracks for each Sonos Play:1 via Sonos App and play them at the same time.Now, every time I play a Spotify track all other devices stop playing and only one device can play Spotify. I also observed that I am no longer able to make own playlists in Sonos App with Spotify tracks.Anyone having the same problem and solved it? 

I reset Apple Music as I wanted to turn off the library setting of ‘Add Playlist Songs’ and ‘Add Favourite Songs’ because it was dumping partial albums in my library once I had added a single song to a playlist.So I deleted everything in Apple Music and recovered with a function on TuneMyMusic backup/restore.Anyway, what I have are items in my Apple Music Library in Sonos (Desktop and App) which do not exist in Apple Music. I have tried removing and adding the service from Sonos. I have reset the IOS App and reinstalled the desktop App. Nothing seems to update the Albums and the grey items still exist and won’t play. My ongoing disappointment with Sonos continues. The system is virtually unusable - literally every time I switch on my Playbar, Sub, Play:1 Surrounds, I have issues introduced since the previous use. Software ‘updates’ that do nothing but create issues. Not least of which that the Play:1 speakers need to be plugged in to the router to update, because while they work perfectly fine when up and running, software updates invariably fail to recognise them to connect and update wirelessly. Thousands of pounds worth of kit that I cannot be bothered to use any more, because of the hassles experienced at every turn. Such a shame, as the sound quality, when working, is now good.When are Sonos going to sort their software, so that the (fundamentally good) hardware, is not being constantly let-down?

I always use crossfade, but since updating my iOS-app to 80.14.09 yesterday the function seems to have been removed?  I am listening to music from Spotify. When I open the MacOS-app the icon is disabled when listening on a Spotify-playlist. When I switched to some Sonos Radio-playlist the icon looks enabled, but it doesn’t seem to work to toggle it. I could still not see the option on my iOS-app.

Any ideas why I cannnot operate sobos system on iphone 16 pro max with ios 18? The app does not find arc, era300, sub. After reinstalling the app and rebooting the sonos system to the default nothing changes. Creating new system helps nothing because the app does not see any the equipment even after unplugging (although in the app it is written it should). Any solution because now I cannot control any of the products ?

For at least the past two weeks, my playlists will no longer play normally.One playlist of 68 tracks sometimes plays a couple of songs and then stops suddenly and without cause. Other times, it doesn't play at all. This I noticed for the first time on Nov 30. I hadn't played that playlist for a long time (possibly before the disaster app release), but it did play normally before. Individual songs sometimes play, sometimes seem to start but fail after a second.Another playlist with a mere 6 songs shows the same behavior, and often refuses to play at all. I use it for alarm (it's called ‘Wake-up songs'), and the Sonos by my bed just sounds wake-up beeps at the appropriate time, doesn't play any of the songs. I've used that same playlist for my alarm for several years now, and up until yesterday, it worked perfectly.The first, longer playlist consists solely of songs in my local music library. As of December 12th, I have had issues playing two different tracks (from Spotify) on different groups of speakers.  As soon as I start the second stream, the first on will pause.I have noticed that I am also unable to to edit the playlist on these streams.  It says that the track was "started from Spotify" and won't allow me to edit.  I am solely using the Sonos app to control the music.

Hi Everyone.I have a question regarding apple Spatial music. I have recently changed my setup from Play:5 to Era 300 as surround speaker ( With Arc and Sub).Ive noticed that if I play Apple spatial music most of the sound comes from the arc. The sound from the era 300 is not full (The music playback for surround audio is set to full). This doesn’t happen to other music that is not spatial or other music app such as Spotify.  anybody experiencing the same issue? And is there a solution to this other than switching music app?Thanks in advance.best regards,Mus.

I have spent 8 months trying to get access to my iTunes library that I paid for and curated over decades. My speakers have not played music for 8 months and I am close to trashing the whole system. I have emailed and been on the phone to Sonos several times in this time and no one has helped me. No one has checked in to see if it is resolved with each update and I am absolutely distraught. I hate this system, I hate this company and I am totally now traumatised. 

After I updated the Windows desktop app on December 12 - when prompted - I stopped being able to play anything from Spotify on any of my Sonos speakers. I have some old Play 1, but also some ERA 100s as well. None can queue up any songs from Spotify. If I switch over to my YouTube Music service, it queues up songs without any issue. If I use my cell phone Sonos app, that will queue up songs from Spotify. They will play, but when I look at the queue, it does not display a list, but says “Queue: Started from Spotify”. This problems - at least for me - is only happening on the Windows app. I have uninstalled the Windows app, but it is the same thing. I have of course rebooted my machines. Since everything is working fine when I use the cell phone app, it cannot be a problem with my network. Also, since other services (YouTube Music) works, that means communication is fine. As a further test, I started the Spotify app on my desktop - same Windows desktop as the Sonos desktop app - and I wa

After installing the update to the Sonos app on 12/12/2024, all of the PCs in our office lost the ability to manage Spotify via the PC app. The support bot suggested restarting our router, but we have no network instability here and the controls work fine on mobile. There are also no issues with other services such as Sonos Radio.Are there any known issues with the new Sonos app version and Spotify?Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to add a Wiim mini to the line-in on ERA 100 stereo pair?  Looking for an alternative method to get Tidal connect working through my system. Any advice welcomed. 

Hi ,I have just downloaded Sept 18 iOS app update with improved queue management which is better thank you. However when I add a track from my music library it just shows just a blank entry. Any ideas anyone ?   

I have a small vacation home.  When I go between the vacation home and the main house I have to update the network and add the speakers to the app everytime since Sonos released their new app.  With the old app I never had to do this.  The app still sucks and is not getting any better.  Does anyone know how (if possible) to not have to go through this process everytime I switch homes?

Anyone have a solution for slow loading of the Sonos app. Mine seems to take about 90 seconds. Already tried the suggestions from the chat.  

Can someone help me? I’ve tried and tried to get my 100s and my playbar to reconnect. This problem has persisted since the now infamous May ‘24 software update Sonos pushed out.My 100s will appear, if and only if, I delete and reinstall the app on my IOS. However, within minutes they disappear again.My playbar just won’t show up.To set the stage… I’ve been running my Sonos system, which consists of several components beyond those mentioned above, via Starlink. I know Sonos claims they don’t support Starlink connected systems (stupid!), but mine worked fine for several years prior to the May update and haven’t work properly since. I’ve read and tried all I can find on the Sonos support community and the Internet, to no avail. Though, I could probably test out of an IoT Masters at this point.If someone can help me resolve this, I’d be eternally grateful. Hell, I’d pay someone to come to my home and resolve this if I could find someone that new how.

I own a Sonos ARC and a sub mini. I just bought a pair of Era 100’s. When I was trying to install the Era 100’s, it wouldn’t recognize the sound for the pin. I had to add them manually with the S/N on the bottom of the speaker. Now I want to run the Trueplay to set it all up and it fails every time. I can get it to the point where you turn your phone around and it starts to play the sound and fails right away. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and it is upgraded to the latest IOS 18.0.1 software. Is there a problem between IOS 18 and the Sonos app? It worked perfectly when I ran Trueplay on the Sonos ARC setup. Anybody else having a problem? 

In my Sonos system I have a Playbar, Sub and 2 Play 1 speakers, all in the same room and all on the latest firmware. On a Synology NAS drive I have my own music library.  The NAS is running the latest version of DSM.If I remove the Sub from the system or room, then I can access the music library from my Android app and play songs from it through the Sonos system.  When I connect the Sub back to the other speakers, I get the unhelpful message “Something went wrong” as soon as I try to open the music library in the Android app.  However I can open and select songs from the music library using the Windows application.I contacted Sonos support about this problem today and they told me it’s a known issue affecting multiple users.  I asked when it would be fixed and was told there is no estimated fix date.I did not have this issue before the May update.  However I first became aware the Sub was the cause of the problem at the start of October. Until then I thought accessing the music library

I have this issue frequently. When I play music particularly from the Spotify app, the Sonos app is not aware that it's playing music. This has happened even when I've used the Sonos app to initiate playback on hardwired speakers. 10 minutes later when I open the Sonos app again, it doesn't realize it's playing music. I have to wait a long time or start some new music l in order to stop it. These are hardwired Sonos devices with in in ceiling speakers so I can't simply push the hardware pause button. Is this a known issue? And is a fix in the works? This seems to have started with the new app roll out.

I am getting mixed information about the return of the skip forward and skip back buttons in Pocket Casts on the new Sonos app. It sounds silly, but this one bit of functionality keeps me from using the Sonos app; I now have a less reliable experience running the separate Pocket Casts app and using Airplay. Is this functionality returning? 

Hi community,  Already for some time, I have multiple speakers in my apartment. first, I had two speakers set-up as stereopair. These were visible in AirPlay as just one entity (I mean: you can hit one button on your list of devices, they show up as 1 thing).  Now, i added another stereopair to my set-up. So now there is 4 speakers in one room. Now I see two entities in Airplay: one entity for Stereo Pair A, and one for Stereo Pair B.  What I am looking for, is to combine stereo pair A, and stereo pair B together, by combing these, that makes controlling stuff easier, plus it looks decent ;-).  Now, I know that Sonos offers to “group” speakers together, but that doesn't fix the Airplay entities. So I am actually looking to “merge” the two stereo pairs.  Does anyone knows how to set this up? Or can someone tell me if this is even a possibility? I was also looking into my HAS setup to make this work, but up until now no succes. I hope one of you might be able to help me. Thanks!

Hi, my first post and previous threads on this topic were either old or had comments turned off so here goes.  Although working well, none of my collections album art shows on the Android app.  The build is 80.11.33 and previous posts/comments seem to infer that rolling back to a previous version would solve the issue.  So my question is: has anyone solved the issue or is reverting to a previous build the answer?  I suppose if the answer is yes then the remaining question is how is this achieved?   

So, I’ve been getting used to the incremental improvements to the S2 controller and can now play my old Sonos Playlists on my system (3 x Amps plus a Play 3). What I can’t work out though, is how to create a new playlist (ive currenty got 5 or 6 playlists mostly rock or 80s stuff).I want to create my own Christmas playlist but don’t seem to be able to now. I can’t even add/delete songs to my existing playlists to modify one of them into a Christmas list. Any ideas welcome…. 

I sat down again and tried to import my iTunes playlists. Again without success. I've gradually had enough.Macbook Pro M1 with Sequoia 15.1.1; iTunes playlist is on an external hard drive (../Data2/Music). Sonos 16.4.2. About 50k songs.Sonos refuses to import with error 113When trying to connect the library via network drive connection it does only import Artists and songs but no Playlists. And it does not actualise it regularly.Does anyone have any ideas?I have various speakers and an ARC and have been using the stuff for a long time - but at the moment the whole thing is only good for listening to the radio.Even playing directly from iTunes only works sometimes. Sometimes the connection to the speakers is established, sometimes not. It's all extremely frustrating.
