Controllers and Music services

I use the desktop app for Windows a lot and I notice that when I select different speakers to group, I often get an option pop up that says ERAplay. I tried Googling it and searching this forum but could not find out what ERAplay is. Any thoughts? Thanks Steve

Unbelievable.  I have 6 products from Sonos. It is asking me every week to reauthorize account . It is not possible to reauthorize from Android app. This problem is here for more that 8 months , what I can see from another posts. All posts were closed , and it ia not possible to wrote there. But this problem has not been solved !! I have latest SW on my products , and I have also latest android app. Are you going to do something ? 

I cannot add a music library to my Sonos application on my MacBook Air.The MacBook Air is an Apple M1, 2020, system running Sequoia 15.2. Itb has a system drive:The system drive has top level Applications, Library, System and Users folders. The Users folder has two sub-folders: chrismellor and Shared.I am Chris Mellor, which is my Apple user name, with a mail address of chris.******@*********.comThe chrismellor folder has several sub-folders amongst which is Music. Since the last update in mid-December I have lost access to my local music folder.  It was working for months and then when I tried to update it in Sonos because I added some music to my library it wouldn’t work.  I thought removing the library and re-adding it would help but I haven’t been able to add it using the path that used to work.  I keep getting a message that the music library is no longer available or may not have power, which doesn’t make sense since my library is on my iMac’s hard drive.  The path that used to work went to the iTunes folder (see image below) but when I read the latest instructions about adding a local music library it says to share/add the “Music” folder; however, I have three “Music” folders (see image below).  Which one am I supposed to share/add?  Thank you for any help.  

My system is very slow. Every time i open My app on the Mobile. The message in the speaker group says "Ikke noe innhold" (Norwegian - in English "no content). After 10-15 seconds the content appears and we can start  listening to last used content. If listening and want to stop, same situation slow reactions.

My previous post “Play & shuffle from folder view of local library still missing from July 22 app update” has been closed to further comments, so I’m continuing here.As the topic says, the ability to play or shuffle from the folder view of the local library is still missing from today’s iOS version, 80.11.38. I haven’t tried the Android update - my phone is still running the 16.1 app from before this mess started.I’ve seen posts from others who used to rely on this missing feature, and it is the main way we’ve always used our library. I’m thankful that it’s still available in the S1 app, which is looking like our long-term solution.

Why is everything SONOS so unbelievably complicated?

With the new update I am having trouble using the shuffle icon shuffling my playlist. also when will the artist list and song list get the sidebar with the alphabet to help in selecting songs and or artists thanks D

Hi,I’ve got a Sonos setup (several devices) and have connected my paid Spotify subscription but it still thinks it’s the free plan so it plays adverts and doesn’t allow me to skip etc.What’s curious is that if I look at the recently played songs and playlists in the Sonos app, I see those I’ve listened to on my phone just using the Spotify app - so it’s got to be linked correctly.As this only happens on Sonos, I’m starting the conversation here.Cheers

Sonos Build 80.14.06-release-20241206.affe3deSteps to replicate:Create new alarm. (Alarms → Add alarm) Click “Music”. Search for album (why isn’t this a list?). Select album. Save alarm.The save does not error, however the alarm will default back to Sonos Chime. The failure seems intermittent, which makes it worse. I am selecting albums hosted on SMB. The album remains playable even when the alarm loses it.Terrible experience when I use this alarm to play white noise at night.

I had a folder in my NAS Library with a set of FLAC files. The Album appeared in the Windows App,with track names corresponding to the FLAC filenames. I then  deleted the folder, and updated the Library; the Albun disappeared. I then restored the folder with copies of the files, after I had changed the sample rates and modified the filenames, which had been long anc complicated. BUT when I updated the Library, the Album reappeared with the original filenames. The files themselves are the modified ones, with the altered filenames, but the track names shown in the App are the original ones. How and why does the app remember the original names, when I have deleted the files are replaced them with different filenames ? Does SONOS just get the tracknames from a web server ?

I've read all the posts on this forum, tried everything suggested time and time again and now completely frustrated with it.Actually everything was working fine until I was forced to change ip supplier from Virgin to talk talk, and coincidentally update W11 to version 24 H2. Now it's all screwed. I managed to update the mobile app to the new network ip, which seems to behave fine on sonos radio, but neither the mobile or lappy now on V24H2 will pick up the shared music folder.On the lappy, Mcafee permissions are set to accept sonos incoming approach from the loaded app, files are shared, and typed in SonosLibrary under permissions advanced tab but to no avail. I even turned fire walls off. What is wrong? 

I can only play one song through my Apple Music library, which has over 3000 songs. I can shuffle music and it will show in Sonos queue If it’s in a playlist.  How can I play my entire Apple Music library where it will play more than one song and show up in Sonos’s queue. 

Now that legacy TuneIn is gone from the new (buggy) iOS controller and all my custom radio stations (in my case from Digitally Imported di.fm)  were gone and there is no information on the Sonos site I luckily found a way to get them back. However it involves recreating them which can be labour intensive depending on how many you have. You will also need the IOS version of TuneIn for this to work. In het verleden kon je Sonos bedienen met de volume knoppen van een iPhone. Dat is ergens in een update verloren gegaan. Ook is de volume regeling in de Sonos app totaal oncontroleerbaar geworden en ik heb niet eens zulke dikke vingers. Android Sonos App (latest version, 80.14.06) startup time is very long on my phone (xPeria J9210, Android 11), even after I wipe out all cache/data, reinstall the app, and start it with phone IN FLIGHT MODE, i.e. no WIFI, no access whatsoever to my players.It takes about 2 minutes for the app to finally tell me that I need to enable the Wifi to find my system.And after enabling Wifi, it takes only a few seconds for the app to really find my system and be ready to roll. Am quite a bit annoyed with the discontinuation of the integration with the Calm app, this is used daily in my house.What Calm app alternatives that have their integration supported by Sonos exist?Honestly it makes me want to fire my Sonos in the bin.

I have Sonos speakers in 3 rooms. I want to use Sonos speakers as a single, unified system. That means always playing the same music across rooms at the same volume.The experience for doing is is cumbersome and often fails. Speakers become ungrouped, alarms can’t be set for groups, and you can’t “cheat” and add all speakers to a single room.This is a very poor user experience vs. what is advertised as “seamless”.

I have two setups of sonos products. I have them for about ten years. One time I upgraded both sets to s2. Since then super slow, so yesterday I decided to downgrade to s1 again. Better response times since then and everything works but… I am unable to perform a trueplay tuning through my phone or any phone running iOS 18. it immediately throws a network error. I tried to find out what is was but to no avail. I could do a tuning by using a older iPad running iOS 16 without any problems. My guess is that the problem is not in the Sonos network or WiFi network but in the iPhones and maybe a security setting that prevents trueplay tuning?Can someone help me with this?

I purchaced an ARC Ultra and 2 x ERA 300’s on Boxing day, set up was easy all worked great until the Sonos App needed to update. Since doing this it seems I’ve lost the volume slider on one out of the three each time I open it.I’ve also lost functionality through the app, where more often than not I have go to the speaker to turn on , off or control volume.Seems as though the app is relatively useless now, because these are all the functions I want to remotely control.Reading through the community comments this seems to have been going on for over 7 months with SONOS help saying they will release bug fixes shortly.When is shortly please ?Anyone resolved this issue ? I have tried all the suggestions, resets, reboot, uninstalls etc

Other threads are locked… Firmware update today, removed and added library and my compilations are now correct. I would celebrate but it’s nothing to be proud or happy about after all this time

When I choose the Sonos Radio service from the Sonos app on my IPhone my screen says that my account access has expired and ask me to sign in.I sign in but the items are all greyed out.When I check my account it says it is “Active: Sonos Radio HD”When I click Content Services”, it does not open, but asks me to sign in (again) which does nothing.Any suggestions for how I can access Sonos Radio?Thanks
