Controllers and Music services

Every time I attempt to re-link my Apple Music service I get one of two error the first is sorry we’ve run into a problem try again. The other says please update to the newest version of Apple Music. Please help

Hi I have a number of Sonos products.I also have a Naim UnitiStar which has a locally connected USB drive containing my music library. The Unitistar has a built in UpNp server.My Sonos system has accessed this music library without any issues for a long time (years).  However, this evening, it cannot access the library ‘unable to connect’ messages.I’ve tried the basic stuff to try and fix this - but no joy.  My Mac and My Smart TV’s can all connect to the Music Library on the UnitiStar without a problem.Any ideas please?Many thanks in advance.

I am experiencing a problem that both Apple and Sonos will not accept exists. Using apple music through the Sonos controller on all my apple devices I get the same result when trying to access activity playlists. When I make a selection, for example Chill, I get a message saying ‘No selections are available’ Only two of the subheadings on my list have music tracks available. That is Classic and Sleep all the remaining headings return the same message. Apple insist its a Sonos problem and vice versa. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I have tried all the reboots and delete and reloads to no avail.

Apple music “activity playlists” (listed by genre on Apple Music - not in my library) are now showing only 3 to 5 playlists per genre in both Sonos PC desktop controller and Sonos Android app on my system. Up until recently there used to a whole long list of available playlists in every genre when I browsed Apple Music from Sonos. Has anyone else noticed this?  Any ideas what the problem could be?  Thanks in advance!

I have an Arc set up and running, but can’t get my Music Library working. I run Apple’s Music app (the one that replaced iTunes) v1.0.6.10 on a Mac Mini running Catalina. I have a local music collection of approx 18,000 songs stored on an external HD. I go to the Sonos App on my Mac Mini.I go to Music Library settings.I add the folder. Path shows as /Volumes/4TB drive/Music Music Library appears in my list of sources, but contains no music. What am I doing wrong?

Subject line says it all - it has been happening intermittently since I removed my obsolete Sonos Bridge, and recently has become more frequent and frustrating. The media library is on a WD MyCloud NAS hardwired into the home network. The MyCloud DLNA Media Server is ON - but seems to ‘see’ way more attached Sonos media players than I actually have....One of the Sonos speakers (Sub) is hardwired into the network ( did this to fix the problem whereby the system was occasionally losing rooms / speakers): the other speakers are connected via wifi.  DHCP is dynamic. I tried fixing this by rebooting the wireless hub (SmartRG SR505N) with no luck this time.  The NAS is up and running fine: I can connect to it from my iMac, and the library is there. I will happily submit diagnostics if you tell me what to do.I used to love this system,  but it is getting harder to love …… It should not be this hard ….. 

For the last two days I have been unable to access SiriusXM on my iPhone. It also happened a few days ago for most of the day but it came back up. I found topics covering with the same issue from a year or more ago but nothing current. I tried the solutions that were suggested in these historical topics but none worked. It also happened a few days ago for most of the day but it came back up the following day. The SONOS status shows that SiriusXM is working but not for me.Anyone else having this issue currently and any suggestions as to a solution? Thank you.

Cannot add to queue from Nas drive share 

Hi all,I have been using Sonos for many years and used to have my generic NAS drive as music library. Now we have a Brennan B2, so I removed the old music library and followed the steps set out by Brennan to connect the B2 as my new music library.However, after selecting the music folder through the “Add Shared Music Folder” process on the Sonos app, I get an error message. “Sonos was unable to add the music folder”Folder name, login and password are correct (copied from Brennan’s website). I can connect to the Brennan B2 on my Win 10 laptop, so I know the NAS connection on the B2 works.Neither the Sonos app nor the Sonos program on Windows will let me connect the B2 as a music library.I would be grateful if anyone had a suggestion how I can get the two connected.

I cannot connect S2 to my apple music account on the iOS beta. Not working on my iPhone 11 Pro or iPad.  Will switch to music app and make sure I am logged in to Apple music. Then I either get a we’re having a problem error in apple music or get an error in sonos saying I need to update to the newest music app. 

Hey, Anyone having issues with streaming Apple Music on Sonos? I have a playerbar;  (2) Sonos ones and a sub. Amazon music plays without any problems only Apple Music. If I play Apple Music directly from my iphone speakers not connected to Sonos it plays fine. I’m not sure what the issue would be.

Bought a WD My Cloud home and there is no artwork showing for the albums I am using My Cloud Home servi in sonos  as I can't  get the music folder to open in Music Library  as I did with my old NAS drive (,which  always showed album artwork)Any ideas ?

Getting Access is Denied when attempting to play a book through the Audible service.  Audible works as a standalone app on my iPad.

Hi,I have a problem with searching for radio station. I have a Sonos system at home and there I have “Hitrádio City (Praha)” - see picture.However, when I wan to find the same staion at our office, it won’t find it. Why is that? It finds it only on TuneIn. Why not in Sonos Radio stations?

Hi, I am having a trouble adding Apple Music service to Sonos. There is non to add. Croatia was recently added to the list of countries that have Apple Music subscriptions, so it should be there in the Sonos app to add. Please show me the instructions how to add this service. Or is it still not implemented for my country? Thank you.  

Just purchased Sonos system and within 4 days lost the ability to play Sirius XM - WHY? yes already uninstalled from Sonos and reinstalled still nothing.

I am “Unable to browse music” on my Sirius XM service after updating the Sonos Controller for PC to version 12.1, Sonos OS S2, Build 60381140, Sonos ID  110830380.  I CAN play SiriusXM stations that I had previously stored in my SONOS Favorites.  Also, Sonos Radio, Amazon Music and Tunein Services all work as they should.  I did delete the SiriusXM service and the Add it back in, which had no effect, I continue to be unable to browse Sirius XM.  My PC runs the most recent version of Windows 10.And….. I CAN browse my SiriusXM account on my cell phone using SONOS Android APP which appears to use the same version, OS, Build and ID stated above.  Please let me know if I need to do anything to help reestablish browsing of my SiriusXM service via the Sonos PC App.  I suspect there is a bug in the PC APP.Stay well, Mike Katzaman

We are aware of the issue where the Tidal app doesn’t allow you to select Sonos speakers in iOS14. Thats SUPER annoying but allegedly being fixed soon. However last week in an effort to work around this I went to my Sonos S2 app and selected the speaker I wanted and then browsed my music options. The TIDAL link produced new options which I wish I’d screenshotted. It had things like MY MIXES etc. which were not available before. Anyway I went off and enjoyed them and come the afternoon, the new options were all gone and I was back to the legacy experience. Which is poor.  So, I assume that it’s up to Tidal to fill those options via an API over anything to do with Sonos but I wanted to check since Sonos support and community is WAY more useful that the nonsense Tidal pretend to run. If Sonos do have ability to help here I’d be appreciative if they can poke Tidal.

I see there are lots of discussions on this: long program fast forwarding for on-demand episodes and shows on Sirius XM. Many of them originating 2 years ago!My experience is that this behavior is still broken/not available.Am I correct?Any word when this might be fixed if so?If I am wrong, then what is the proper way to resume listening to a long episode where I left off when I was last listening to it.Are there any work-arounds?Thanks

My playlists on sonos app keep saying that the songs are not coded correctly and then skip and do not play the song, this is happening on numerous different songs every time i try play a playlist. Furthermore a lot of my rooms with sonos speakers in are not being picked up via the app. They work when you ask Alexa to play and specify a room but you can't use the app to control the devices.

How to delete exissting account ( mail adres and password ) to set up new one. I buy use product and like to delete this things.Any one know how to do this ? M.

Upgrade to iOS 14, connect to Sonos speaker through airplay, then play youtube video on my iphone, got audio in Sonos but black video. Try Vimeo, still no luck, got audio but video playback froze on my iphone.

not working for 3 days.  what now?

I've been using Spotify on Sonos for years, but for some reason it fails to connect a couple of days ago. I got in touch with the chat support yesterday. Got the suggestion to try reinstall Spotify on Sonos. It didn't work and now I can't even get Spotify into Sonos. Got this message. No problems with the network using other stuff.
