Controllers and Music services

Typically my morning alarm has me waking up to CBC Radio One Vancouver, but since Monday morning I’ve been waking up to the Sonos chime which historically meant a problem on my local network but if you drill down into the CBC service within the Sonos app, none of the selections under CBC Radio One are currently available. The CBC Music On Air (CBC Radio 2) remain available. I’ve tried removing and re-adding this integration but to no avail. Does anyone know where to go to have this looked into? I don’t know who is responsible for this integration, Sonos or CBC? I’m assuming CBC made a change to their feeds for Radio One that hasn’t been updated within the Sonos integration. The specific radio station is still available via TuneIn which is my workaround for now.

I have added the CBC app into my Sonos app and until now have been able to listen to stations from across Canada. Last week Radio 2 stations disappeared and now all stations have disappeared. I can still use the streaming services, but I want to be able to listen to talk radio and news. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos app and still nothing. Everything is functioning fine in my CBC app. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm becoming increasingly annoyed by Sonos. I've already had to get a new phone because suddenly my android system was too outdated with the new update in January, and now I can't easily play my favourite stations. At this rate I'm going to have the most expensive paperweights soon. If it can't add stations, there should be a way of connecting whatever I have on my phone to the speakers- even if it's an aux cord.

Please help, I have been struggling to get my Sonos system to connect with Spotify. Deezer and Apple Music play perfectly, but I keep getting a message “unable to play the connection to Spotify was lost”. I have reset my entire system several times, deleted and reinstalled the app, reset my WLAN etc. All my speakers are connected via WiFi and not hard wired. I am not using a bridge. Diagnostic ref: 1671880851 Any assistance would be great thanks. 

hi has anybody else been experiencing problems with Sonos and the new Music app that replaced iTunes. I can no longer import playlists created on the Music app to Sonos.Sonos no longer recognises .xml files generated by the app.I’ve tried both the ‘iTunes Music Library.xml’ as generated automatically by the Music app  and individual playlists as .xml from Music but Sonos won’t read them. If I place an old iTunes generated .xml into the Sonos folder it reads it and updates the library accordingly so I know there isn’t a problem with where I’m placing files.Any solutions anyone? Thanks!

I have two Sonos-One speakers, each in a separate room. When streaming music stored on our NAS device, over our Orbi WiFi, it works flawlessly. When streaming music from Spotify, one speaker (always the same one) drops out every couple of minutes or so. I cannot understand why an internet buffering issue would only affect one speaker. Can anyone suggest a reason and a fix? thanks.

I have music stored on my sd card on android phone and when playing through the sonos one in my kitchen always stops after 1 track, won't play an album continuously, no problems with Spotify or music services, just my old albums I have stored which aren't available online, has anybody had this problem and know any fixes, thank you

I run into this error every time I try to browse Apple Music through the S2 app. Weirdly it only occurs in the Albums and Artists tabs - “We’ve run into a problem. Try Again.” Have restarted router, updated and restarted Sonos, reset app, reauth’ed Apple Music. I have a beam which is wired in and Sonos net for two ones as surrounds. Anyone else have this issue?  

Please improve the checking of the Pandora service. Twice in as many weeks the Pandora service has gone down and your site does not reflect this:    

Why are there so many things that don’t work when using the YouTube Music connection within the Sonos app that work fine in the YouTube Music app itself? Every time I ask Sonos they say, “Google hasn’t provided the tools for us to implement that yet” and every time I ask Google they say, “You’ll need to ask Sonos about that”.  Even stuff that appears to work on the surface doesn’t work right. I’ve been noticing that when I go to “My Supermix” on YTM within the Sonos app that it keeps playing a lot of the same songs and the songs it does play are mostly from the same genre (jazz, country, rock, etc….depending on what I last listened to). I just figured this was YTM’s crappy algorithm but then I started listening to that same “My Supermix” directly from the YTM app and low and behold...it actual had a decent mix of genre’s and songs that I’ve liked mixed with new songs. What is going on Sonos????

Hi everyone, I’m new here.I have a pair of Ikea/Sonos SYMFONISK lamp speakers, which are generally great. BUT one of the main things I’d like to use them for is playing Audible audiobooks, but every time I try to play an Audible book via Sonos it plays for a while and then restarts the same track, or moves to the next chapter too early. This happens whether I play via the Sonos app on Mac or my Android phone, and also if I play in Chrome on my Mac and send the audio via Airplay. It doesn’t happen with Spotify or with other audio output from the Mac.Any advice? Anyone else found the same problem?many thanks

I'm at my wits end here. For some reason my Sonos controller can no longer find my NAS, where all my music is stored. Going through the process of opening 'music library settings’, click on 'add’ with opens up a window with 3 options, the 3rd being one called 'networked device (ex NAS drive)’ Once I click this option another window opens to type the path to the networked shared. Listed here are a couple of examples such as ; \\myNetworkedStorage\Shared\Music.As I can't figure out what the exact path is I click on the 'browse’ button. This opens a window to 'browse for folders’ I then click on 'Network’ which has a drop down with my NAS but when I click this it opens a window ’Window cannot access \\NAS21A3A6’ with an error code 0x80070035 and a  'diagnose’ button which, when clicked,  comes up ‘couldn't identify the problem’. I feel I need to find what that 'music’ path is I need to type in to direct Sonos to.

I have had my Sonos system and Deezer for years now. Within the week my deezer favorites have completely disappeared from Sonos. I am also missing rhe favourites heart button. It says unable to browse music. Ive Uninstalled Sonos app but that didn't work. 

Hi everyone,I sold my Play5 a while ago, and it was reset twice, but somehow is still connected to my Spotify account.  I am constantly fighting for control over my account with some stranger. Judging by this person's musical taste, it appears appears be a teenage girl!  One moment I'm chilling to some Elbow, when the next, I'm being ear raped by Witney Houston!As stated, the Play5 has been reset, and i have also forced logout of all devices in my Spotify account, and I have changed my Spotify password.  Unfortunately this hasn't helped.  What is also interesting is that when this other person plays Spotify, it shows up as the name that I gave to my old Play5 speaker "Kitchen"; could be a coincidence, but I somehow doubt it.Is there some way that you can break this connection in the Sonos 'back end' systems? ThanksJames 

So I canceled my subscription and it will be fully dead end of the month so I thought I’d see if there were any fresh ideas out there.  Only Sonos HD Radio has issues. It simply cuts in and out randomly. It’s like the buffer in the speakers isn’t big enough for the payload Sonos HD radio is sending. Anyway, I have 18 speakers around the house. I have one wired in that is always at the top of the group list so he’s always the group coordinator. The wired speaker has far less issues but the WiFi speakers just cut in and out ever 10 to 15 seconds. Some speakers are on the same level as the wired.  I’ve test wireless interference, internet speed and latency. Even logged in with a friends Amazon account that has HD music and that worked. I really like the Sonos stations so I figured why not ask again…. ideas on cut in and out issues or is this just the way it goes when you have a lot of speakers?

I’ve recently does some major edits and updates to my iTunes media library. I disconnected the link between Sonos and the media library with the intent of reconnecting and doing a fresh download of the updated media library. When I attempt to establish to link between the Windows 10 PC and the Sonos controller app, the error message says the PC is not responding.I am certain the path to the computer on the network is correct. The username I enter is what shows up on the PC screen when I power up the computer. The password I enter is the one I use to log into Windows. The media library is set up in iTunes to be shared. I tried to establish the link with the virus protection disabled as well as turned on.Any ideas for establishing the connection?Thanks in advance.

Wondering if anyone else has seen this... Trying to listen to "A history of the world in 100 objects" podcast from BBC. Sonos allows me to select the podcast, but although it lists 100 episodes, there are many missing, & others duplicated. If I look at the same podcast in BBC Sounds, Spotify or PocketCast apps they are all correctly shown. Unfortunately I can't use any of those apps to play through Sonos. Any help appreciated. 

Hi After tuning into Spotify on the Beam and linked speakers the Beam failed to reconnect to the tv through the ARC cable connection.  The Beam still connects to the Sonos app for music and radio services but no the tv. The message I keep getting is that no ARC conncetion deteced.  I have tried all sugestions for reconnection from the chat forum.  Any final solutions please?   

Hi I have Win 10 and have installed the S2 app. I have configured my Firewall as per the guide, my music folder is shared. When I try to add the music folder to the library I get this error: I have searched the forum but unable to find the answer. I have even turned off the firewall completely but still get the error, can anyone advise please? Thanks in advance, Rik.

For the past few days Spotify has not appeared in the results when I do a music search in the Sonos iOS apps on my iPad and iPhone. I can use Spotify in both apps, but on a music search I only get results from My Music Library and Amazon Music, with the exception that if I click on the Playlist tab in the search Spotify is included. If I click on Artist, Album, Song there is nothing from Spotify. When I do a search on the Sonos app on my desktop computer (Windows 10) Spotify does show up in all of the searches. I have updated all of the apps and deleted and reinstalled the Spotify apps on Sonos on the iPhone and iPad, but the problems remains. Anybody have a solution?

I just upgraded my home NAS and cannot add the newly created music library share to either the Sonos phone app or Computer program. I have followed all of what I have found thus far related to editing my computers registry and firewall. None of which has worked thus far. Anyone have ideas? Just upgraded to a Synology D220+ NAS, running Win 10 …. Sonos configuration is Playbar and One’s ….

I have the exact same issue as described herebut from the Sveriges Radio. Very annoying when listening to a podcast as it does not remember where it was and you need to listen to find where you are. Happens about every 20-30 min. And no, I don’t have any network issues or with playing directly from the app via AirPlay

Dear Support, I am facing an issue with Sonos. We have installed new WD My cloud HDD. The issue is that when we share the music from NAS with Sonos its showing an error which is “ Sonos was unable to share the Music folder. I have also follow the all steps which are enclosed in the link.

Hi.Anybody else getting ‘unable to browse music’ when trying to access their Feed in Mixcloud? I’ve tried changing the password and re-authorising the service through the app but the issue is still there.Listen Later, New Uploads, and Your Mixcloud Queue also display the same message. Trending, and Music work fine so the account access must be fine.Any suggestions welcome.Thanks,Chris

This is a recent problem for me. I can play music from my Spotify app on my Sonos speaker but not podcasts. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both apps. The message I get is ‘can’t connect to device right now’ when I try listen to a podcast but music is ok. Any advice hugely appreciated. I’m connecting from my iPhone.Thanks LJ

Since the S1/S2 app split, I've noticed that throughout the day the Radio 2 feed will suddenly jump back by approximately 30 seconds and then repeat what you have just been listening to. I am using S1 software. I have submitted a diagnostic about 2 minutes after the last incident of this fault, confirmation number is 728377785.
