What is the problem with my Radio Tuner? Can't play any chosen station and the don't save to favourites

The recent Sonos affair has caused many to threaten to or actually make a switch to other systems (such as Denon HEOS, Bluesound, etc). The Achilles heel in doing this, is that virtually every alternative is another proprietary system (with absolutely no guarantee that the system and its components will be maintained) where factors other than brand loyalty may play a determining role in what happens to often an expensive outlay.  

My Apple Music will not play just keeps going around and around

Just listening to an album and Sonos started skipping through all the remaining tracks on the album playing only a few seconds of each. I restarted the track where this began to happen and then after a few seconds it stopped and said “queue cleared”diagnostic *********** Any ideas or is this just another tiresome bug in the dreadful new app? Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed (identifying information)

I have a Sonos system for quite a few years now and I want to share my vey bad experience upgrading to the latest software app.  With the new app, some simple features as just setting an alarm were gone.  I could no longer set a radio station from my Sonos favorites on an iPhone 8. How can Sonos release a new version without all the basic functionality?  I don’t understand how Sonos could release this app without making sure it had all the expected functionality.  A very unhappy customer.

The new Sonos app has absolutely been the most awful experience. No more sleep. No more volume numbers so you know what sound level you are at. Doesn’t work on my iPad anymore.  How can I get the old app back? 

Clearly loyalty has little value to Sonos. They now have spend their R&D on a new headphones but created a rubbish app to support them and current products. This will seriously hurt the release. I will now not even consider the ‘Ace’ headphones while the app is a clear ‘double fault’ :-(

WHY CANT I ACCESS MY PERSONAL MUSIC?

Hi Sonos. Is there a link to official information regarding when you expect the app to be fixed (e.g. having the alarms and sleep timer back). I only find information that you are working on it, but can you please post something official and make it easy to find? Now we are just left in the dark again, and getting more annoyed by the day.

Hi guys,Does anyone else have the impression that under the new app balance settings don't really do much?I don't sit directly center of my two surround speakers. So in the old app you could tell Sonos under Settings/Surround that one is closer than the other.That seems to have gone now, replaced by balance under Settings/equalizer. But I pull that slider this way and that but the speaker closer to me is always the one I hear most.Is this confirmation bias because I don't really like the new app or does anyone else have the same problem?

In the old app you could have selected the distance of your surround rear speakers to your listening position in this new updated app you no longer can do so would like to see that option added back

I've got no more energy trying to figure out how I can get the app to stay connected to speakers, group them so I don't lose them or even add a song to play next, so figure I'll just do to the Community what Sonos has done to me and ask a random question without doing much work to see if it's been answered. If I search for music and pull up Deezer playlists, how are they ordered? Can I sort them by popularity, creation date, number of songs? The new app has made me realize it's probably stupid to keep investing in a proprietary system, especially one that doesn't do what I want. Better to grab wired speakers and an amp, if there's a better solution. Any idea on the sorting of Deezer playlists? Bonus points if you can tell me how to add a song to play next.

I bought an Arc to upgrade Playbar alongside a new tv.  In the same period I upgraded the app. The system simply stopped working.  I spent nearly a whole day trying to resolve the problems and following advice, disconnected my whole system and reinstalled the app.  Despite multiple factory resets, I could not set up two Sonos ones in one room.  The app kept recreating new versions of the same room. It would not allow me to set up surround sound.  I struggled to get the Sub to connect.  I tried to contact support by phone, the estimated wait was 115 minutes. I tried the chat bot. It froze on three occasions.  I have invested a small fortune in Sonos products. What can I do?? 

Before I click NEXT on the Sonos app to remove three existing S1 products, will I be given a choice as to WHICH individual S1 products I can remove?I don’t want to remove all three just yet, and I also plan to stay on the S1 app near term until the all buggy software dust settles.   

Since this latest update I cannot play my iTunes music and it has been removed from my Sonos Playlist.How do I go about reloading it and begin playing my music. This is my iTunes list, I don’t have Apple Music.

I just managed to get my IKEA Symfonisk speakers to work (from my tablet; having them work using my phone is a hopeless cause)! However, I’m flabbergasted.(a) There is no indication of how to use them in any way other than from the Sonos app. Can’t one simply use them as speakers as one would use any other speakers from any app? If so, why?(b) The Sonos app lets me connect to Sonos Radio and to (say) the CBC. However, while it pretends to let me connect to YouTube Music, every search within YouTube Music returns an empty list. Why? ( c) Can I at least play a file on my tablet? How? As it is, the Sonos App is letting me use these speakers strictly within a framework that one might call “glorified radio”. I get to choose the channel but not the music. Bit frustrating. (Now that the speakers are set up, is there any hope of bypassing the Sonos App and using a mainstream home assistant (say)?)

Hi,We just recently made the update of the new Sonos version ( not very good by the way) and we lust all of our Sonos playlist, why ?

I upgraded two of my iPads to the new Sonos app release, and while I am not facing the challenges that many are facing, I do find the UI “looks” good but doesn’t “feel” good. iOS/iPadOS apps are supposed to feel native to the platform - that's why Apple provides robust APIs for UI design. The old app, while not perfect at least adhered to some design principals of iOS apps like the navigation bar at the bottom with the 5 buttons. That is now gone in the iPadOS and iPhone app. It makes no sense! This app does not feel at home on iOS/iPadOS anymore. I don’t want the app to be the same across all OSes - I want the app to feel at home on the devices I use it on. It should have a different design for Android and feel like an android app. It should feel like a Windows app on Windows, and macOS app on macOS. I get companies one this “write once run everywhere” cheap way of development but it sucks for users.  One other thing on iPadOS - why is the “Your System” stuff a super-wide bar at the b

I am receiving an error message  "Something went wrong" when trying to stream on new update.. Also, having to launch the application 4 or 5 times before the system will connect.. These error did not occur with the old app.. Seems this is an ongoing issue with this new update - I am about to ditch the sonos and go with another brand.. 

I got a new iPhone. Previous iPhone controlled Sonos amp new iPhone seems to be connected but no sound is coming out of the speakers. Speakers are wired through the amp and have been able to function so that the television can play with it is playing, and the amp allows music through the speakers in the backyard

My Sonos will not play other services like Sirius XM or Amazon. Need help, thanks!

I have a "Softwate Update" pop-up window but after checking it says "Your System is up to date". Pressing Done and the story repeats... Uninstall of the app is not helping. I have this pop-up message everytime and can't remove it. What could be done? Thanks

I feel like I’m an echo in here as many have experienced the same issues.   Ever since the new app rolled out, my Sonos system fails to work 75% of the time.  Sometimes devices and/or rooms simply have vanished off the app.  Sometimes I’ll try to search and play music and it’ll just spin and eventually fail saying something went wrong, try again   Every time I try to use my system, it’s something.  It’s been a very long time since the good days where I could just fire up some music and have the system play thru the desired devices without issues.  I’ve restarted my internet, I’ve unplugged modems and routers, I’ve unplugged devices that I can.  Many of my devices are mounted or secured in locations where I can’t just keep accessing them every single day to mess with this crap.  I had a group of friends over last night and we had to pull out some tiny portable $50 Bluetooth speaker for music for us all because the $5000+ worth of “high end equipment” I’ve purchased over the years wouldn

It's becoming clear that based on the past few updates, Sonos does not want its users to choose what to listen to.1. They removed the ability to add anything to the queue. 2. They removed the ability to play from your local library (definitely on Mac, not sure about Windows).3. Did they also remove voice controls? I thought I heard this, but maybe I misunderstood. These things all point to one thing: they don't want you choosing your own music. They want streaming services to be the only convenient way to listen to music without interruption. I assume this is intentional and they are pushing people to streaming/radio services because they get a financial incentive of some kind based on the number of users. It's too consistent to be anything but deliberate. 

First, it can take up to 60 seconds to register any of my devices. I just have to wait to connect to literally anything.Second, grouping is a damn nightmare. It was simple and easy and now I have to search everything to find anything. Third, the room groupings now require you to slide right? So much worse. Fourth, connections are difficult to begin and end. Connect my office speaker? Better give it a minute or two if I want to switch it to my bedroom, sometimes playing two different songs at the same time. Both from my device. Don't even know how that happens.Five, the entire design became chunky like its 2006 or something. Like I'm a play school child.Every time I want to play music I have to fight my damn system. No joke, I'm looking into other options. Almost impossible to use without overwhelming frustration.
