How much did you get paid by the streaming apps to disable our music folder?

 I'm encountering some major hurdles with the latest app update and would really appreciate the option to revert back to S2 until they iron out the kinks in basic functionalities, like locating speakers and playing music on them! I can't help but feel that the apparent arrogance or hubris exhibited by Sonos might be connected to a sacred development roadmap geared towards upcoming product releases later this year. It seems likely that the missing/failing functionalities are being tailored to seamlessly integrate with these new products. Delaying the app release or reverting might not be a feasible option if it means holding back product launches.However, there's a real risk that Sonos by prematurely releasing a bug ridden app is jeopardising the core selling point of their system: the seamless, multi-room sound experience.Their unique ecosystem has similarities to Apple's success, but I doubt Apple would ever compromise their 'it just works' ethos by rele

I can only start playing music from my phone at the room that was playing the last. Sometimes a button pops a “view system” and you can select another current output (before putting on music!) but that almost never does. Anyone knows? I’m on iOS iphone.

Hi Sonos Community,I've been experiencing some connectivity issues with my Sonos system lately, and I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting. I've checked my Wi-Fi connection and it seems fine, but my speakers keep dropping out or losing connection. Any suggestions on how to diagnose and fix this problem would be greatly appreciated! 😗

The alarms and sleep timer are gone in the new app? Did sonos really destroy such essential features or is this a bug? I really hope they didnt just go "fork the paying user" on us here, a ton of us use and rely on those every single day. Gonna look for a money back option here

If the Stingray service is no longer available in the Sonos App, why can’t I remove it from my services list?  Is there anyway you can make it so I can do this?When I select Stingray in manage services, and click “remove service,” I get an error that says “Service Not Found” and it won’t let me do anything. See screen shots below. The classic TV analogy for this experience is the Seinfeld joke “you can’t break up with me, I already broke up with you” 

I wish I could go back to the previous app, but knowing that is not an option--how do I select “TV” as a source without having to turn my TV off and then back on. Used to be I could easily select the music note icon and see all my services, including TV. TV is nowhere to be found on current version or perhaps it is buried in all the newfound clutter. Thanks,DD108

New app didn’t bring subscription our services over with the update, won’t load them into the Home Screen to use with our system.   This new app also doesn’t allow us to actually control volume and pick speakers.   We have to use the older version on the app on a phone that we won’t update until these bugs are fixed. 

I have been a custom integrator for over 10 years. This single update is by the worst update of ANY system or company I have ever used. Where are my EQ controls from the grouped volume slider? Where is my ability to MUTE a single zone while grouped on the volume slider screen? The most important question for me is where is the ability to individually adjust the distance of the rear surround speakers therefor adjusting the volume. Most installations in residences are not perfect square boxes and that is the only way to get proper surround volumes for odd shaped rooms. What the heck are you thinking SONOS. If not fixed ASAP I will be moving to Denon HEOS as a dealer and recommend to everyone to walk away from SONOS.

Can’t play Stingray with Sonos app….I cannot delete the service either, the sonos app displays that it can’t find the service. The Stingray app works fine both on IOS and on our ‘’cable boxes’’. I have deleted and reinstalled the Sonos app, same problem. If any one knows how to fix this it will be much appreciated!

I cannot adjust treble, bass, loudness.  Takes courage to remove such basic functionality. 

Cannot install Sonos on windows keep getting a 1406 error about overwriting a key and can do nothing about it - any ideas?

I have not been able to connect to Sonos all day. When are they going to do the right thing and release the OLD app?!!!The app that worked!!!!!! 

My Controllers are Android, running V80.01.07 on one so I can see what’s happening with the Controller “Upgrade”and V16.1 on the other 3 so I can do what I really want with my music, which is NAS based.In the last day or two this popup has been appearing on launch of V80… Followed when clicked by this one Which appears to me to imply that it is the Speakers that will be updated, not the Controllers, and is rather threatening in its tone.  I have ignored it and established that the threat is a hollow one in that both Controller versions continue to work as before, one well and the other not so much…My question is:-If one clicks through

I am agree all people about a very problematic APP v80The MUTE is now NOT available The COVER does not change realtime. yesterday i play multiple songs and cover is about the song played 10 minutes before… Every time open APP   “NO SYSTEM CONNECTED” go to SETTINGS Sometimes playing is stopped for seconds (never happened in many years before with the good app) My Tuner radio service does not permit to add as bookmark any songs or podcast If i want to play from bookmarks, the song must play immediately, here in V80 we have to play one more PLAY button… Playing for example 3 speakers same song, if i decide to play only 2,  using app the music stopped ! and play again later ! VOLUME control is a joke…. i go up and audio does no follow my choice , after the slide goes back itself !! same for reverse ! and so and so… any oother people has this behaviour ?CLASS ACTION to SONOS !!!!!!!

When is Sleep Timer being restored to your app? Why can I no longer listen to locally stored content? Just how much money are you grifters making on exit?

I have read several of the other threads that were not able to browse through their YT Music playlists. Some have been resolved with an update (3ys) ago, but others relate to the size of the playlists.I have a YT Music account. I created playlists. I added my YT Music using the service option in the  Sonos S2 App (Version 80.01.07-release+20240517.e5cee07, Android Version12). Entered identification code and everything, found the existing YT Music account, but in the Sonos app if I click on Playlist it does not show me anything. Also tried on the Sonos app on my Windows notebook, but have the same problem.I have tried searching for updates, rebooting the speakers and the phone/notebook.Any advice what I could try?

I am using a Move 2 speaker. Every time I try to use the Android app, I get the message "system not detected." I have to turn on the Bluetooth signal to establish a connection. While using the speaker I keep having to do this to maintain a connection whenever I want to change what I'm listening to.  This only started happening after the infamous May update, prior to that things worked fine, on my simple one speaker system. Does anyone know of a solution? More to the point can anyone at Sonos tell me when it will be fixed?Everything was fine before the uodate, but  trying to use my speaker now is a nightmare. 

I can not see my Sonos system on the iPhone and iPad, and I am not able to add a newly bought Sonos Arc and two Sonos Era 300.On my Mac I can see the Sonos system, and add new products.App’s on iPhone and iPads updated to last version.I have reset my system, I have reset my router, I have powered everything down and restarted but the problem is still the same.What to do now?

Anyone found a way to stop the Bluetooth popup question every time you open the App. Related to brand new app May 2024.I don’t typically have Bluetooth switched on on my iPhone so this “nag” message happens every time you start the app?  TIA 

So…today I have been on 2 Live Chats. First one they just stopped responding ding, 2nd one just said you will have to call I can’t help.I then called and was informed of a 55m wait time, I carried on at a wait time of 1hr and 28m the line went dead. I have 3 devices I am trying to reconnect to the ‘system’. I have factory reset them all about 3 times, I have reset the app the same amount of times. I ah e used an Ethernet cable too. I get to the point of successfully following the prompt instructions and connecting but they are not visible in the app, not one single device. I am am so utterly confused and angry in equal measure. How can a UI be so terrible, how can customer service be so awful. Of anyone has any suggestions on how I can get these 3 devices in a system group on my app I would be grateful. I cannot hold for yet another 87m to be hung up on again and the Live Chat route has not been exhausted. Thanks 🙏 

The latest version xxxxxx.08 lacks the polish and seamless performance I’ve expected from Sonos.Finally spoke to Support after 2 hours and 5 minutes on hold.Firstly ALL previous Sonos Playlists have disappeared and told ‘they will come later’. What? Who in their right mind would provide an upgrade and remove previous features without comment.Performed a remote reset and before it was complete, the Support person said, ‘ all good, have a nice day’ and hung up. Problems still remain but will I put up with another 2 hour wait? Certainly not!Still slow and unresponsive and previous version quickly recognized when the TV was connected and the sound dutifully came through speakers immediately.Now it reverts to TV Audio by itself even with the TV off and of course the music stops.This is a shamble, no less.  

I'm one of the guys that after the new app uodate, I get constantly portions of my system not showing or the entire things as being said to be not on the network. I have Sonos tech pointing at Google (that's my router) and Google techs pointing at Sonos. I'm 99% positive it is Sonos because this entire set up has worked fine for years until exactly after the app revamp. What I have happening is that when I look at the devices on my Google router, I see things like it showing 2 subs, 1 online and 1 offline....I only have one sub. Then even when I have all speakers showing up and working on the sonos app and physically working, the Google home app wil  contradict that and say half my speakers are offline. Non stop I am getting contradictions between the two. From not agreeing to home many speakers are online to it claiming multiple versions of a speaker. Does anyone know what this points to or which spectrum is more likely the cause?

Customers with their own music stored locally made Sonos. Put them on the map. They exist due to us.  Sonos has since by conscious design left us and moved to connected services. I understand why.  But this latest complete removal of the ability to use my Sonos as it was marketed and sold to me, to listen to my music absolutely beggars belief.  The update was automatic. I have now lost the ability to play my music in FLAC format.  Like many I’ve invested thousands over the years. I moved much to Blusound. Dumped my Sonos because of how they treated us. But I kept some for some rooms. Now I guess I’ll be dumping that too. Blusound is superb. I’ve had enough of being ignored by them.   There is no way this is a bug. This was design. The complete omission of a capability is not a bug. It was a conscious decision to remove any ability to play localised music. Probably to save money on developers and have less and less requirement to have

Before the last update a few weeks ago, my Sonos App was working fine. Now its not only a glitchy non intuitive design, but after taking ages to get it to play the BBCSounds app again yesterday, it now tells me I have no system- despite the fact that the system is on and playing Radio 4 (through BBC Sounds). So I have no control of the speaker ( Sonos One) and I guess will uninstall and reinstall the Sonos app again. But this is getting monotonous- what is the problem since the update? I have just the one speaker so as simple as it can be!
