Did Sonos just remove the ability to play digital music from one’s own music Library? I can’t seem to find any of my music from my computer within the sonos app - it only searches online streaming platforms…. If this is the case then the death of Sonos is near

So, we’ve got a SONOS Playbar for 7-8 years now, and a Play:1 in the garage. It’s been working mostly flawlessly since we had it. We had a bit of issues with connectivity, but since plugging in the Playbar to ethernet and using SonosNET, it’s been pretty good. Queue a few days ago, when my wife went to play some music in the house after not using it for awhile. She had a new phone recently, too, so it had the latest update on it from recently being setup. It refused to play, and was only playing through the Play:1 in the garage. If we try and play anything to the Playbar by itself, we get the generic error message of “something went wrong”. The Playbar occasionally would even disappear for a moment or two from the app. It does not seem to matter from where I’m playing, iTunes Library, Music, Amazon, Sonos, etc. I started to look at it, and my phone had the same issues, even though I was still using the older version of the app. The same happens after the

After years of listining to the Sonos community talk about replacing the clunky old app, I want to thank Sonos for listneing to us.  The new app has beautiful, easy to use graphics and layout.  It looks great and is easy to use.  Congrats on a job well done Unfortuantely I’ve also had a few other problems.  I wonder if others have had the same problems. Can’t group rooms anymore Can’t control volumes in multiple rooms can’t find my radio stations can’t find the alarm settings extremely low volumesAm I alone in finidng these problems?  I’m sure that since the app is so nice to look at, that it’s impossible that these problems are created by the app.  I’m sure the problem must be pn my end.  I think it’s completely reasonable to expect some minor gliches in the rollout and I’ve just decided to turn off the speakers and wait until these problems have been resolved.  No big deal.I can’t wai

Hello. I cannot add music to my playlist in the new app. I can only replace music. Before on the old app I could do that. I am using YouTube music.

The day I updated the app on the S2. my TV room system magically disappeared from my system. Tried to add the system back, was forced to update the app. Downhill from there. Added the system, couldn't register is with my account. Restarted all speakers, router, modem, wired it in, nothing. Found out that I needed to reset the app, was able to register my speakers. Woo! 2 days later, here I am.. I have 2 systems and only one works. Beam + 2 One SL’s working great. Other room, Arc SL, One SL, One, Sub Mini, working part way. Sound comes out, surround is working, but I cannot control anything from the iOS app.When using the iOS app, you can see the room, select the room but nothing will work with it. Select Spotify, it just spins. Select the other room, music will instantly play. Watching TV, cannot control volume, or select a source. Using the Web App, I can control the room, select a source, play music from Spotify (on the Sonos web app) but OS app, nothing.  

Again, another issue post update to the app. Apple Music searches would not let me play music through the iPad or my iPhone. I tried removing Apple Music from my services in the app and then re-adding it to the Sonos app, but I met with a “something went wrong. Please try again” message.  I’ve attempted to do this using both my iPad and my iPhone.  WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS SONOS?  Your entire ecosystem is in shambles and I can’t even use it.   

Why is it not possible to save a station from DR, livestation in favorites. I get af message that says something like “ try again” 

Since the new app took over I have a dozen 'lagacy favourites' which don't work and I can't find any way to delete them from the app...…any assistance would be much appreciated 😁

Sonos move 2 no battery percentage while playing on Bluetooth, before I could see it in the app. It’s now gone. What!! We need that back, what’s the point of having a portable speaker ? Waiting for the orange light, not good Sonos. 

I have a Play1 stereo pair, an Era 100 stereo pair; a Play5 2nd gen stereo pair with a gen1 SUB. As a result of the ‘upgrade’ to the new Sonos app, I have lost virtually all familiar functions. No playlists, no saved albums, lost access to my napster streaming account. Pretty much dead in the water.I still have a pair of Play1 speakers I stuffed in storage when I bought the Era 100 pair. Could I pull the Era 100 pair out of my network, reconnect the old Play1 pair and go back to the S1? I don’t use any of the buzzers and bells in S2 and sure don’t need any of the junk in the new app. No ‘alexa,’ no alarms, none of it matters to me. I just wanna play music, period; and I can tackle picking up a tablet or phone to control my playback. I do not want or need voice control.Would I be able to revert to S1 on my tablet (which now has the new app, totally nonfunctional) and my phone (running S2, but unable to access some streaming content, and unable to change sy

What is wrong with this new app??  I am about another week of this crap from pulling the ejecter seat and telling everyone I know to avoid Sonos like the plague. I have been a loyal customer for almost 10 years. I have my entire home surrounded with Sonos speakers-every room along with soundbars. Now they have a new app and all of a sudden it is slow as all hell, it’s impossible to navigate, and worst of all, whenever I try and play a different song, it automatically starts playing on a different speaker in a different room of the house. It woke my kids up the first time and now I’ve had to unplug 2 of my speakers so it doesn’t happen again (which means those speakers are completely unusable). Why can’t we have the old app and format. We are having a party next weekend and if this is still going on, I’ll have to plug in my Bluetooth and I have no clue what ill do with all these Sonos speakers that I once swore by. Is a fix coming or can we please just go back to the old app!!!???

This week our Sonos app at work got updated (iOS 80.01.30) after which all of the Symfonisk bookshelf speakers we have in the building dissappeared from the app.After that I tried factory resetting them and reconnecting them but now I can't even get them to finish setup in the app.It goes past the initial connection phase with the audio pin just fine but after entering the WiFi password it hangs on "connecting”. After this it says it finished connecting but with a sidenote that currently the speaker is not visible in system settings. It then asks me to reboot the speaker and then check system settings again. I have rebooted it multiple times and restarted the entire process multiple times but I keep getting stuck at the same point.Other users with the same issue seem to be helped by using the windows or macos app to update the speakers but for me it says the system is up to date on both windows and mac.Any suggestions? After adding files to my NAS I update the Sonos library. Well, I used to, but I can’t find that in the new App. How do I do it?

Received an email today offering a 25% discount on Sonos products I purchased two Sonos speakers from Costco three weeks ago. Spent numerous hours trying to get them to work with a dysfunctional app and a poorly supported Sonos customer support team.  If I was offered a 50% discount,  I will not be buying another Sonos speaker.   Was able to return the  speakers purchased from Costco. Thank you Costco for your return policy 

I listen to audiobooks via Libby every night to fall asleep.  I set the sleep timer and away I go.  Newest version of the app has NO sleep timer.  The App is now worthless to me.  I looked to downgrade back to S2, that’s not available.  

Why does the app update remove the ability to “add to end of queue” or even add a single song to it? I can understand if it won't work between media providers (like Spotify and a music library), but I can't do it at all. Or was it taken away because “you can just make a playlist and use that?” Not cool.

Why have all my playlists within Sonos disappeared? It has taken decades to build them. Now all lost??Please make it a priority to restore access to playlists.

When will add to queue be back available 

Hey, sonos, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Before the update in May it was easy to add speakers that I had muted (now I can’t find how to do this), and to control volume on individual speakers. I had a lot of speakers connected and now just one is connected. I hit + add speakers and it searches but can’t find the MANY speakers that USED to be connected.But MOST of all, my playlists are gone, gone, gone. I was a huge fan of sonos, but now more. I am going to sell or give away all my sonos speakers, and tell friends,  if they’re thinking of buying them, go to another source.Little did I know that “automatic update” as toggled on. How about a warning next time, sonos, so I can print out my playlists and recreate them. 

Since the new update, I‘m unable to add any new music service account to my Sonos setup. If I try to and authorize Sonos, the App just responds with an „unexpected error“. I tried it with TIDAL, Apple Music and YouTube Music. On iOS and Android. as my family moved on to a new streaming service and I want to add the new TIDAL accounts of my wife and my kids, this behavior is more than just „annoying“anyone any advice?  Funny, with the macOS App, I was able to add TIDAL Accounts to Sonos. But if I want to add Apple Music, Sonos tells me, I have to use the iOS or Android apps for that. ISSUE (Repeatedly occurs): A permanent white screen appears on my android phone after password sign-in to connect Move 1 speaker function.BACKGROUND:. Sonos app was reinstalled after successfully completing a Factory Reset. Then during System Set-up for the speaker --NOT Adding to an Existing System-- following entry of email address and password, all functionality ceases as the phone screen goes White, permanently. ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND:  After issue repeated several times, the WiFi router was restarted. Another Factory Reset was necessary and successfully] completed, Then again, The Issue happens. NOTE: Norton 360 was installed prior this entire situation occurred  

I got into a state where the two wouldn’t sync, no problem i thought i’ll just delete Audible and re add the service, no such luck.   This app is simply hopeless, i’ll never buy another Sonos product.  

Does someone have an archive of prior iOS Sonos controller/app releases. My backups here for iOS span to my iPhone 14 and I can’t just restore one app, so I need the IPA file. I’d rather downgrade and have something USABLE, while Sonos fixes things.I believe the most recent release prior to 80.x should be fine, as it was the older UI. 

Hi all,My first post and it's an odd one because I searched and found multiple instances of other people with the same issue going back years, all previous threads closed as answered but the answers don't apply to me as1: I haven't just changed my app and2: the updates mentioned as a fix in the other threads are also years old now. So here is the issue;I open the Sonos app( as usual), I click on the music note symbol at the bottom ( as usual),I select YouTube music ( this is new, just added and confirmed, but I also tried removing and adding again but there is no issue adding the service with my YouTube account details, code generated, entered and linked seamlessly) I see before me my liked songs and only one playlist, which in and of itself is odd. I added a new song to the liked songs to test, and it does appear in the Sonos app under the YouTube music service/ liked songs... however…I click
