Hello !Until recently, I could stream from any source on my iMac (Music app, Safari…) to my Sonos SL.I found it disappointing I couldn’t use the mac speakers at the same time (like it worked on Music app), but it worked. It’s been a few days I can’t connect from the Mac via the Audio menu, nor via preferences, so it doesn’t work with Safari. It works with Music app, though : so the mac can connect to the speaker (but now it disables the computer’s speakers…)Is there an easy way to fix this ?-I hard-rebooted the speaker-I restarted the computer-I connected via the Sonos app (but it only shows music services, not browsers) Thanks for any help !
HiAll of my Itunes playlists have stopped being available on Sonos - it just says ‘no selections are available’. I’ve not actually wanted to listen to a playlist for a while but they used to play with no problems. I’ve not changed any settings on either Sonos or Itunes, there have literally been no changes to either so does anyone have any idea how I can get them on Sonos again. I’ve removed my library and readded it, I’ve updated my library countless times but they just won’t show up?Any help would be much appreciated.
Hello all. I recently upgraded my Playbase for the Arc.I also subscribed to Amazon Music unlimited and was looking forward to hearing HD and Atmos music on my system (Arc +Sub + 2 Play 1s). Using Sonos2 app I am informed that the song on Amazon I am streaming is Atmos. However when I look at About my System/Sonos System Info during play that there is not an Audio in showing on the Arc.My question is if the app shows Amazon Atmos is playing should the Arc also show that Atmos is being recieved and playing? When my TV passes through Atmos the Arc tells me that is what it is playing (Atmos,5.1.2.1 etc) so I am confident that all is ok.The Arc does not tell me what it is playing from Amazon music,Should it say in About my System “Audio in : Dolby Atmos” (or something similar) or is my configuration not set up correctly for Amazon Music Atmos and HDThanks
As a user I want to view the current tracks bitrate and codec in real-time so that I can fully understand the different quality my Sonos system is playing.
HiAfter the recent update I have tried to play Atmos music on my Arc. Searching for ‘Dolby Atmos’ on Amazon music via the sonos app on my iphone I get no results. If I do the same on the Amazon Music app I get a playlist ‘Best of Dolby Atmos’. Even if i specifically search via the Sonos app for a playlist ‘Best of Dolby Atmos’ i get no results. Can anyone help please?
This BUG is still present, more than a year after being reported on this forum for the first time.Issue, cause and workaround have been documented in: The problem and workaround were acknowledge by a Sonos rep more than 6 months ago. But the problem persists.Would it be possible for Sonos to actually fix the bug in the next update?
Hi.I’m blind and using screen reader talkback on my android phone. Earlier Sonos has worked perfect with talkback and I have used it for many years now. Since version 13.4 Talkback no longer reads my sonos tab. When I activate my sonos tab and try to move between the controls I get “can’t connect to sonos” message. No matter what i Do. If I switch to library, system or search it works perfect and I can listen to music, radio and podcast without any problem. If I turn off talkback and let a sighted person use my sonos tab it works perfect. But with talkback on it only says can’t connect to sonos on that tab. I tried another little older android phone and the same appears on that one too after updating Sonos app to 13.4 and 13.4.1.I hope that can be fixed soon.Best regards Tony
I have a Sonos arc connected to a LG c1 TV . All good. I'm trying to play Amazon Atmos music on my Sonos arc from the amazon music app. When I use the app and cast Atmos tagged music it reverts back to hd . It's only when using Amazon music through the Sonos app that it appears to be playing Atmos music , but the Sonos app is poor compared to Amazon music as it doesn't tag Atmos music very well. Why doesn't it play atmos music on the arc through the Amazon app (when in its marked to do so ) I'm using android . What am I doing wrong
I’ve read so many threads asking for Jukebox mode so people can add to the queue but not have their song immediately play.Surely there could be a setting to toggle on or off the “play now” option in the app which would mean you could pass your controller around and people can add without the song instantly starting? Are there currently any plans to create a jukebox style mode - it would be good to know the official stance rather than looking at so many threads where the answer from Sonos is “we’ll think about it” and then nothing happens.Has anyone made an easy work around for this for their system so friends can add tracks to the queue?
I have an Arc with surrounds (play:1) in my Living Room, and a One in my open plan kitchen, grouped so I can I play TV sound in the kitchen when cooking etc. and want to mute the kitchen speaker at other times. I have a Harmony Elite remote, and my tv activities include the Living Room (arc+surrounds) and Kitchen speakers. I assign a button on the remote to ‘Mute’ the Kitchen speaker. But it Mutes the arc instead?I have deleted and recreated the activity several times. Then I realised that even in the Sonos app, the muting is not working as it should. It seems it only works If I use a Play:1 in the kitchen, but I’d like Alexa here. Any ideas?
I have always used the desktop app at home and my Music Library has always been linked to a single "Music" folder on an external hard drive. That music folder then has several artist sub-folders and each artist sub-folder then has their own album sub-folders which house the individual song files. I have used the desktop app in this way for years with virtually no problems-until this morning. Now only a couple albums in each artist folder are showing up and some artist folders aren't showing up at all. I've tried various things. Unlinking the "Music" folder entirely then re-linking it. Re-starting the computer. Disconnecting the hard drive then reconnecting it. Checking the app for updates. Nothing works to link the single "Music" folder correctly like in the past. Now, if I link a single artist folder all the albums show up correctly (mostly, more on that later). This works for artists who only had a couple albums show up, or artists who were no longer showing up at all. I could li
Dear Sonos Community,I have a question related to the delay in “audio from the sub” menu setting in the Sonos iOS app with a Sonos AMP.At 1.04 (18:26) in the video. The “audio from the sub” menu option shows up. I don’t think this is working the way it should? I’m using this setting often to configure the sound and it is very annoying. Please check the video at 1.04:
hi All, When all my speakers are playing the same playlist, I may need to adjust the volume of the playback in one of the rooms. Noticed that when I use the physical control on the speaker to turn up or down the volume, the volume is modified on ALL speakers. This is frustrating, as in some rooms the volume is fine and does not need adjusting. Is there a way to adjust the volume on individual speakers without impacting speakers in other rooms when they all play from the same playlist? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Kenny
Seeing as this question was first asked 3 years ago, we still do not seem to have integration with Sonos and Google audio books...…Has there been any movement in this regard?

With the recent announcement of Amazon HD music support I was wondering if your playback source effects if music is HD or not. I stream my music via wi-fi from my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and am not sure if playback is in true HD or do I need an external converter. Thanks for your help.
Current setupLiving room: ARC+sub+ 2 Ones as rears. Basement: Play:5 I just got gifted a Pro-ject Debut. I do 90% of my music listening/ TV watching in the living room. Option 1: buy a port and use the turntable in the living room. option 2: buy a new Play:5 and use as rear surrounds in the living room option 3: inferior option. Use the turntable downstairs with the play 5.
I have a NAS drive with all my music on my home network. I’d like to setup a second library for my wife such that each of us can search our OWN libraries to play music from vs adding a second folder and mapping the share in Sonos as that just presents a unified library showing ALL music.Very simple use case:Sonos should let a user select from a set of local music libraries. I should be able to select My Library and only see content from there. The same model where I can add multiple streaming service accounts and choose one or another.
Just wanted to share the good news that I am successfully deploying the SMBv2 protocol on my Synology NAS (DSM 7.0.1-42218) with the Sonos App (version 13.4). Moreover, the NTLMv1 authentication is no longer needed.
This is still a ongoing issue for me no matter how many times I reboot, reinstall, etcit now plays silence for the first 10 seconds of songs sometimes along with the usual faults - song not encoded correctly skipping past added next song.I used to love my Sonos set up but over the last 6 months it’s been absolute rubbish. Im still not sure if it’s a Sonos, spotify or router fault. will this ever be solved? I was at one point thinking of buying a roam but with how this lot performs I don’t think I’ll bother. so frustrating 🤦🏼
My Sonos app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e gives the error, ‘To group, make sure Kitchen is connected to WiFi and is set up on this system” when I try to add or select one of my other 3 Sonos speakers. I can select any combination of my speakers from my PC or Galaxy S10 phone. If I select one speaker from my PC, that is the speaker that my Tab S5e will get stuck on, with the above message. I’ve tried restarting my tablet and the one Echo Dot in the network.
Home do i connect sonos ti streaming device (e.g. YouTube)? Thank s a lot
I’ve seen this requested a few times but wanted to expound on the possibility of more enhanced feature control. Sonos, could we please have sound profile schedules, with the option to assign a profile to a room at specified times with the option to enable/disable features? For example, create a “Sleepy time” sound profile that turns on night night mode, disables loudness, and turns off surround. Assign that profile to a speaker/room and schedule it to turn on and off at specified times? features could include adjusting:-ambient/full music playback-tv loudness (on surround speakers)-bass level-speech enhancement mode-night modei know this is probably a big ask but these speakers should actually be smart if we are integrating them with smart homes and voice assistants :)I know you can sort of do this with voice assistants but with my British partner and my American accent voice assistants usually cause more problems than solve. It would be great if we could do this straight from the
