How can I listen to BBC local radio when the Winter Olympics are on ?
I purchased a Sonos Roam - it did not work. I have returned it and purchased another is the hopes that the first was simply defective. How do I remove the original Roam product from my account - as I have returned it to the store.
Would you PLEASE add Scribd to Sonos Services?I asked this 2 years ago and still nothing and I have not been the only one, I reached out to Scribd and they said it has to come from your end, not theirs.I also requested the add to queue option for audiobooks like there is for music, would love to know where this is in development as well.
My local university radio station is cjsw.com. I can use my Sonos app to listen to the station with no issue. On the web site they have all the programming available to listen to after the fact. I can go back a month or two and listen to a show I may have missed. I can find no way on the Sonos app to open and play previous programming. Does anyone know if this is possible? If not possible it would be great if Sonos added this as a feature. And if it was dependent on the Radio Station allowing it I’m sure CJSW would be more than happy to oblige if a donation was made.
Hi Folks,I noticed today that below Sonos Radio stations have disappeared:Glide Path Drum & BassI’ve been unable to find an announcement about their removal. Are they missing for everyone?Does Sonos publish release notes for radio station changes? Many Thanks
After my Samsung Galaxy S20 updated to Android 12/One UI 4, I have lost the Sonos controller as a lock screen widget. The latest OS seems to group lock screen widgets in categories, such as “Music.” All of my device music/podcast app controls work as lock screen widgets in the music/media output category. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the Sonos controller working again on the lockscreen - never fully recognized how useful it was until it was gone.
Driving me mad - does anyone know where I can find the version of Blondie - Heart of Glass that Sonos Radio plays? its not the original Parallel lines version as it has a different playout with Clem Burke doing different paradiddles to fade out. Help!
Is there a station on Sonos radio that plays songs from Spoon’s new album, for example? It’s all over Sirius but I literally haven’t heard it once on a Sonos radio station. Indie Gold and Alternative Energy don’t play anything new.
Hello, I would like to request the Sonos desktop app for Windows respond to the keyboard media keys (play/pause, next, etc.) when the program is not the focus. It seems this has been an ongoing request from many users for a number of years now. As someone who works from home often these days, it would be helpful to pause when I have to take a call or skip the track on command. I imagine this would also be useful for gamers, programmers, etc.
Hi guys,Im a owner of the sonos arc and two sonos one gen2 speakers. I dont use the sonos sub.Does anyone know what EQ settings are the best to bring out the best sound?
I have had Dark Mode working on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but yesterday everything just turned light. The option to enable it in the App Settings menu has disappeared. I have restarted the app, deleted and re downloaded but it is still missing. It is still working fine on my M1 iPad Pro. Grrrrr it’s just reappeared when I was going to get a diagnostics report. once again …… grrrrrrrrr
So to be clear... if I have a sonos arc and sub in the living room, but have a sonos amp with speakers in the back yard, I can listen to them as a single group, or use separate? As in the arc playing a movie and out back playing spotify. Or watch a different TV source on each, while being able to do this all within the same app login? Hopefully I am making my point lol.
Most of the time when streaming use the dual Sonos 1’s with sub in the kitchen for casual listening. I do have a port too. Amazon dropped the price of HD and now just using “free” prime streaming. Would the gear I’m using be good enough to notice using lossless codecs? I know it must be listener dependent but perhaps the difference is stark enough. I could play a cd and port it to the Sonos, but others have undoubtedly done this. Appreciate any comments.
I chatted in to support two days ago after I added some channels as favorites in the SiriusXM app and I was unable to get those channels to show in the Sonos app. So I removed my SiriusXM account from Sonos and then logged back in to SiriusXM in the Sonos app. I still could not see the channels I had favorited. It wasn’t until support inquired about what channels I was looking for that I realized perhaps the Xtra channels weren’t gonna be available on Sonos. However, support told me that everyone of the Xtra channels I had favorited were showing as available. So I restarted my router and everything but by the time everything was back up I didn’t have time to log back into the chat support. And despite the reboot of my system I still have none of the channels I recently favorited including one channel that has a number so isn’t an Xtra channel at all (SoundCloud Radio on channel 508).I just found a support article saying Xtra channels are NOT supported via Sonos. So can someone tell me
Hello,I have a very bad ADSL line, no fiber, and therefore my internet is max 8MbI want to move to the High Fidelity music with Deezer (FLAC music), but my wifi won't be strong enough to do this on my Sonos system. Could a solution be to play the FLAC music using the Deezer app and transferring to Sonos via Airplay? Will my wifi still be needed or just my phone data (I have unlimited data)? Would this enables me to listen to FLAC despite my very slow wifi network?
So we run a bunch of ZP100s,ZP120s and a ZP80, plus a Play5, Playbar, Sub, and a plethora of Play1s and 3 CR100s.And up till now we have been walled off on 8.4 and quite happy. However about a year ago the stream from Spotify to devices stopped working. And last week my NAS drive failed (not a drive failure). Its done sterling service since 2004 and I’ll probably give it a good send off with a flag and all that.So now I can play the radio, and thats about it. All that tech and its just a wireless (with wires). There is a limited function Spotify option on the CR100 but its not great. For my daughter the loss of Spotify streaming was a deal breaker so I have reset her Play1 and upgraded it to S1, and Spotify ‘stream to device’ is back working. I have relinked Spotify on 8.4 several times to get it to work but no luck, so pretty much confirms that it is a feature loss for 8.4 rather than a config/network issue,NAS:My understanding from a catch up in the threads is that SMBv2/3 is likely t
Now, Sonos has teamed up with Amazon to provide the proclaimed highest quality music for streaming. I am wondering do I need to subscribe to it to experience it, or I can just retain my YouTube subscription, which comes with YouTube music, to have the same experience.
Been tweaking my system. I grouped my sons speakers and am able to cast from my phone or laptop to all 4 of my speakers if I pick airplay through Spotify with on my phone or through my laptop. If I go to YouTube in my iPhone I can cast to the same group and it works. My issue is I would like to cast from using YouTube.com or music.YouTube.com to my grouping but all that shows up is my tv when I press the casting button . Confused as to why it works on Spotify but not YouTube from my laptop. I did add the YouTube music service in under the sonos app but It’s not syncing up with my playlists
Now that I have my full music collection (Stored on my Sonology) available to my Roam, I am wondering for music that I have stored locally, but also know is on Amazon in at least HD Quality, what will sound better? Will local mp3 files sound better? and if so what is the minimum bit rate for that)Does the answer chance if my local file is Flac format? ThanksAllen
Hi There, new Sonos user here. I’m all set up and it’s working fine. I’ve set up the remote as per instructions. But the remote is also turning up the volume through the TV speakers at the same time as it adjusts the Beam, and I’m getting that awful out of synch sound. I thought the HDMI (ARC) would recognise an external device connected and not use the TV speakers. Any suggestions?
Sonos kicks in when I play my squeezebox. How spooky is that? It also does the same occasionally when my landline rings. I don't use any voice control system. It plays whatever I last played from my music library.
Is anyone able to tell me if the snooze function for iOS apps has been fixed on S2? I’m currently still running S1 so that I can use CR200 controllers because the snooze function on iOS has never worked properly. Clearly Sonos aren’t going to fix it for S1 now, I just wanted to know if it worked properly on S2. Currently if you long press the alarm notification on the Lock Screen it offers a snooze function but it doesn’t work. Opening the app produces a ‘no alarm is playing’ notification. It definitely isn’t my system - a quick search of this forum shows it to be an ongoing issue. I don’t want to upgrade to S2 only to discover it still hasn’t been fixed. It’s a real shame Sonos decided to stop making controllers. I don’t want to have to go looking for my phone in the middle of dinner just to put some music on. The lack of them, for me, is beginning to cheapen the entire experience.
Hi, I live in Hong Kong, and I have an active subscription with NetEase Cloud music 网易云音乐, and Youtube Music. I have tried to set my profile location to China, to eventually add that music service to my account. But then now I could not use Youtube music. I have to pick either Youtube music or NetEase Cloud music. But I use both. Any workaround other than keep switching my profile location? This might be a request to the Sonos Team. Is it possible to allow NetEase Cloud music in Hong Kong? Or the other way around Youtube music in China?
A framework in Python for a simple (battery powered?) controller, with album art display, using the great SoCo Python library. Uses the Waveshare 1.3inch LCD HAT, which has a joystick and three buttons for control. These are less than $20 on Amazon. A case with buttons can be 3D printed using these files from PiSugar, for use with their battery.I haven’t tried the battery, and don’t have a 3D printer, but it should make for a nice portable controller. Of course, power optimizations, such as turning off HDMI, Bluetooth, etc, would be required on the Pi Zero W.Anyhow, here’s the basic script. Requires the Waveshare installations down to but not including their FBCP driver (under “Guides for Pi” tab), as well as SoCo, the Python Pillow library, and WaveShare’s ST7789.py script (just copy to same directory as the sonos.py script below).I haven’t programmed the 3 buttons, but the joystick is used for volume up/down, prev/next, and play/pause. The screen displays the album art or radi
