It seems to be possible to play to (my) Sonos Setup without beeing physically accessing my WiFi nor being near to my home. So to make clear: I´m sure about that nobody externally is stearing Sonos via SONOS App.What I found out is that If you ever been connected to someones Sonos Speakers with Spotify (e.g. in a friends house and with the permission accessing the Wifi) you are able to play music on this Sonos from any point the world / internet. Is that correct? How could I limit this access to sonos. Or is there a way how to make visible who is playing music actually?
I’m using a Sonos One SL stereo pair with my Apple TV and it works great… until I change to an Apple TV game. Then all of the audio disappears.Does anyone know if it’s possible to use Airplay 2 for Apple TV game audio?
How can I de-link the volume on my sonos speakers from my Regular wired speakers which I use via Sonos Port?Tks in advance for your help
After resetting my phone (OnePlus) to factory settings, my playlists in the Sonos app are gone.I would think that any settings in the Sonos app would be unaffected by any device changes. Is there a way to restore my playlists?
I use multiple audiobook services, and have found that both Audible and Libby are compatible with Sonos, but the one I use most, Chirp, doesn't seem to be set up to play together with Sonos. Is there anything I can do to get my Chirp audiobooks to play? A workaround? Like direct wireless speaker function? Petition either Chirp or Sonos to make the compatible? Suggestions welcome. PS, I have 3 of the IKEA symfonik (spelling?) IKEA+Sonos speakers and an operating a Google Pixel Pro 6 (android system), if that is relevant.
How to rip my old CDs to play them in my Sonos system. iTunes won’t let that work. Would using an mp3 player allow me to do this!
Hi,I have sold a speaker, but forgot to reset it first. I cant get the buyer to reset the speaker, so now this speaker have link to my Sonos, and all my services.
Greetings fellow Sonos users,At our meditation center we use the alarm settings on Sonos to play meditation music for 1 minute every hour throughout the day. The issue that occurs with this is that once the alarm plays it erases the current playlist we are using. For example, if we play music over Sonos as part of the meditation, then a live class begins and at a specific time a special piece of music plays from “alarms” it will wipe th playlist and someone has to create a new one for the next section of music needed.Wondering if there is a workaround for this or if we could connect a second device to the Sonos port that has the timed music set up on it ? The 3rd option; would we be able to use spotify with exact timing for music to play from that streaming app to achieve this desired function? Many thanks!
This double notification has been a thing for many people and for quite some time now. Is there a fix?
Almost exactly a year ago I posted this same question on this forum. https://en.community.sonos.com/topic/show?tid=6863655&postid=16569705The suggested answer, which worked, involved being sure that TV Auoplay was selected in the Beam settings. What incited the problem last year was playing music via AirPlay from my Mac.Now, a year later, it has happened again. I played some music from my Mac on the Sonos using AirPlay. My Dish Remote suddenly stopped controlling the volume coming from the LG TV via HDMI ARC to the Sonos Beam. This time, TV AutoPlay was already on.The only way I can controlled the Sonos volume is with the LG TV remote.I would appreciate any suggestions re how I can return control of the Dish to TV volume to the Dish remote.Clearly, something about playing music via AirPlay to the Sonos disrupts something in this complex Dish-LG TV-Sonos ecosystem!TIA againCaroline
I added my music library to my Sonos app. It’s located on g:\music.Where is the actual library file located on the file system? Is it an XML file, or a text file?
Are there any standards to what kind of adds Sonos accepts on Sonos Radio. There is a porn add running on danish Sonos by a compagny called Sinful. Are there adds on payed Sonos Radio ?
I am a European citizen and have a Tidal account, which works. After this I moved to Japan, but I am still paying to Tidal with my European payment method. (Please don’t ask whether Tidal works in Japan, of course it works, it is a streaming service over the Internet and Internet is available in Japan. The whole point is that you cannot purchase Tidal subscriptions with a Japanese payment method, that is all, because Tidal does not have a legal representative here.)I can use Tidal without any problems in Japan. But I cannot link it to Sonos - why?I think it is NOT the job of Sonos to check for availability in a country, but Sonos should allow legit account users of Tidal to use Tidal with their Sonos products. We are in the 21st century, people are moving between countries, and it is not up to Sonos to restrict this. If Tidal wants to restrict access to its service from Japan, then they will do it. So please stop playing police without the need for it. Thanks
I use Spotify and Amazon Unlimited as music sources. If i go to their web pages and search for something, say “Rolling Stones” i get lots of results. From the Sonos mac desktop app I get nothing or perhaps 1-2 albums. This happens for Bach, Mozart, and just about any other search. I’m on the latest desktop app. I see the same issue with Amazon Unlimited and Spotify. Any ideas? I spent an hour with Sonos Support who said that Sonos has known problems with music sources and maybe they will fix a bug sometime. Anyone have suggestions?
I know there was another thread here 4 years ago with no much traffic, hopping now both sonos and beatport are more mainstream and ready for an integration.
Amazon Music Unlimited has a “play similar music” feature on artists, albums, songs, and playlists within the Amazon Music App, but I can’t seem to find that feature when I go to Browse → Amazon Music within the S2 App. Does this feature exist in S2?
Hi! I just got the full streaming version SiriusXM platinum, downloaded app on iPhone and wanted to connect to Sonos. In Sonos app under Add a Service tab the list does not contain SiriusXM. I see in forum there have been a lot of issues here. Help please
As the title says, I search for an artist, I get a list and click on one but it plays something else entirely! What’s going on?I have a paid up subscription yes.
Wondering if anyone is having problems using direct control from the Pandora app to Sonos? When I choose the “casting” feature in the lower right corner of the Pandora app I’m presented with a list of “devices” that I can cast to. I have no problem with google devices, but when I choose a Sonos target I have problems. At first the music gets sent to the Sonos device, but after a few minutes the controls in Pandora become unresponsive. When the song finishes and the next song begins, the Pandora app does not update, but continues to show the screen for the previous song. At the bottom pf the Pandora app screen I see a message “Buffering...Your music will be back shortly”. At this point the app has lost communication with Sonos and remains unresponsive. The only way to reset is to start a different station from Pandora. This problem is the same across multiple iOS devices, phones and iPads. I have updated all apps, uninstalled and reinstalled pandora and sonos. Also restarted mode
Request for technical assistance. I have one Sonos Move and I bought a second one for the stereo. I can't set it up because in the S2 app I installed on my Android phone, when I try to sign in to my sonos account it shows me the message 'try again' again and again and doesn't even get to the screen where I enter a username and password. Likewise when I enter the system - add product. It asks to sign in and continues to bring me to the Try again screen again until he exits. And it also happens to me on the iPad that I try to connect to the same network. I tried to go to a completely different network, at my place of work, and on the other network the application succeeds in connecting and signing in, so I connected to my account on the other network, but when I returned to my network and tried to install the Move, it tells me that it is trying to check if the application is updated (it is) and it cannot go beyond that. It throws me out, something in the access to the Sonos servers from
As noted in the post here:TuneIn, and by extension, Sonos Radio, will soon be losing the ability to stream the BBC. Check out the details in that post for other ways of accessing the BBC, for both those inside the UK, and for those outside the UK.
I have stopped using the e-mail account that is linked to my iPhone Sonos mobile app but can’t delete it via the app. There is no option to ‘change’ the account whereas I have been able to, I presume, start a new account with the current e-mail. Can anyone help with this as I can’t add any products to the system as I can’t log in to the mobile app and can’t add products via the Sonos site.I did call the help-line earlier with a 15 minute wait but rang off after 17 minutes. Thanks I’m hoping in advance.
I have just managed to resolve this issue with technical support as a workaround until the permanent fix is deployed and the steps are as follows:Using an iOS Device from a Friend, Relative or Neighbour.Connect their device to your Wi-Fi network. Download the Sonos App Download Apple Music (if not already downloaded) On the iOS Device click Settings > Their Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Sign Out Launch the Sonos App Click Join Existing System Login to your Sonos ID Click on Apple Music in the Sonos App Click Re-authorise Follow the journey in Apple Music. On the iOS Device click Settings > Their Apple ID > Media & Purchases > Sign OutThen your Friend, Relative or Neighbour can sign back into Media & Purchases. Finally uninstall the Sonos App
Hello,The alarm function on my port no longer shuts the music off after the chosen duration. Is there something I am missing? Or another way to have sonos only play for a certain period of time? On a daily basis.
