Used to able to search all songs off album cover in old app- now there is no option to do that ? Is there an option will that change as great way to explore
So the fact that Apple renamed iTunes to Apple Music - AND has a streaming music service of the same name has made searching for a solution to my problem a challenge. I do. not have a streaming Apple Music account - but I DO have a new laptop that has the Apple Music application (formerly iTunes). In the past I haven’t had any problems getting my playlists from iTunes to appear in my Sonos app but that is no longer the case with the new Apple Music app. I’m stuck with an old list of Playlists and can’t add any new ones. It seems as though the list is no longer synched between Sonos and Apple. Any thoughts?
i constantly will want to know what song recently played and don’t make it to my device by the time the song ends and then i can no longer see who it was. i would appreciate a recent history list somewhere so i could see the most recent 10, 100, whatever songs that just played. thanks.
My SONOS app prompted me to download the version 2. Once I did it said it found my system but I can’t open the app. I get to the page where it say “by continuing you accept these Terms and Conditions. But there is no “continue button” or “next”. ????? If I click on the terms and conditions it opens up SONOS.com.
I noticed that on 2/16/21 there was an Android update to the S2 App. I have held off on updating it, because I know I can never go back. Can anyone please comment on any negative or positive experiences with the update so I can make an informed decision before moving forward with the update. Thanks in advance for any answers or comments.
When I activated my S2 system, none of my original playlists on the S1 system have appeared. I still have my S1 system which is now disconnected, how can I transfer across 10yrs worth of playlists? Thanks
Hi everyone,I wasn’t able to open Sonos Controller on Windows 10, just like some of you, according to other topics on the community.Taking a look on the log file that’s created on C:\ProgramData\SonosV2,_Inc\runtime, i was getting the following error message: “<ApplicationData>@Module:module @Message:Can’t bind (port 3410)</ApplicationData>”It seems that Sonos is using a port that might be marked as reserved. To check that, run the following command on command prompt:netsh int ip show excludedportrange protocol=tcpYou will get a list of exclusion ranges.I couldn’t quite understand what’s reserving the bunch of ports I have on this list but, to clean it up and fix the problem, I’ve run the following commands:net stop winnatnet start winnatIf you check the list of excluded ranges again, the list should be much smaller and port 3410 should not longer be reserved and Sonos app should work again.
Problem: Pixel XL (smartphone) was connected to my system via SONOS S2 for about 3 weeks working PERFECTLY. Now Pixel XL won’t connect and I can’t find any way to reconnect it even using all my old S1 tricks. Background: I upgraded my system from S1 to S2 using my Pixel XL phone. It was used to perform the system upgrades and first to get S2 app added and S1 app removed. Afterwards, functioning perfectly! Been using it successfully without any issues for around 3 weeks now.Delay to Upgrade: Not that anyone needs an explanation, but I replaced our FireHD 8.1 (2017) with a FireHD 8.1 (2020) to use as a SONOS controller for guests/petsitters. I was holding off migrating the system/rooms to S2 until either: SONOS would actually show mercy to us long time users as first they were hinting and eventually did drop support for FireOS 4/5/6; or, I had a replacement device so that our houseguests wouldn’t be without a controller! So, upon receipt of my upgraded tablet and after a white-knuc
HiCan I suggest the following changes to the Android S2 app, please? Please make the mute button bigger. I have to hit it two or three times for it to activate.S2 ScreenshotPlease make the app load quicker. It takes a full 7 seconds for the app to load and if i navigate away from the Sonos screen, it has to load all over again. This is very frustrating when I am working on multiple apps. If I setup a group of speakers all linked to my Beam and for one reason or another I need to mute this, the group gets broken and I need to set it up again. Thanks for you support. Arrowmaker
Hi, I would like to stream audio from my Nvidia Shield TV to my Symfonisk speaker - are there any apps that do this? Or is there another way of doing it?
Over the years I have bought Sonos Play 5’s x 5 (Gen 1). 1 x Move, 2 x Amps + 2 of the latest Amps, 2 x Play 1’s and 1 x Play 3’s and Playbase. In short invested a lot of money and much of it doesn’t seem to work these days. I now have 2 Apps to run the system, is SONOS crazy? So disappointed on the so called progress, I should have stuck to my British Cyrus system as this is now American junk. The real question is there anyone out there that will buy it off me and I suspect the answer is NO?To say I am disappointed with the performance is an understatement. I suggest the App software writers should be sacked and someone who knows what they are doing write an App that all components work satisfactory under.Did I say I am disappointed, YES I AM?
I just bought this because of Apple Music support. I have set up Google assistant and when I say hey Google play …. on Apple Music it says “not supported”. I have also added the speaker to my Apple home and when I use my Apple Watch and say “hey Siri play …. On Sonos” (I’ve named it Sonos via Apple home) it doesn’t work. Any ideas? Or do I just subscribe to Spotify for direct support?
I’ve got to setup five Galaxy Tab 8’s tomorrow which require ability to play local music stored on the device. 4 months ago i know this wasn’t possible - has there been any updates that have fixed this before i spend ages trying to configure them. If not - suggestions at best work around would be appreciated as i don think my client will be happy if i tell them they need 5 music servers too :(
Title pretty well sums up the problem. I’ve been playing music through the JDT Rocket Player on a Galaxy S21. I’ve done some substantial updating of my library played via Rocket. None of these updates are showing up when I select to play music from my local device.I tried rolling back to previous version of the Sonos app as recommended on a previous string addressing this problem. Chrome is preventing me from installing the download.Any suggestion would be most appreciated.Dan Taylor
I have this same issue as listed in many other questions- but none give a solution ...except contact Sonos help? Surely there must be some sort of fix. I have downloaded the app. My computer recognises both Sonos speakers- but the Sonos App cannot find them?! The speakers and this computer are on the same wireless network. I have turned off firewalls, I have turned off vpn, I have turned off and on my router and this computer. No change. Sonos system is not new. Just trying to connect to new computer.
Starting last night my connection to Amazon music is failing. I have an active Amazon Prime account. I have deleted, re-added, and re-authorized the Amazon service in Sonos multiple times. I have had one of my (5) SONOS ONE G2 speakers connected via ethernet cable for SEVERAL months without trouble. My home internet configuration has not changed in months. I use the Amazon stations daily. Still getting the same message: “Unable to play “ANYSTATION” - the connection to Amazon Music was lost”. I have submitted a support diagnostic to Sonos. The confirmation number is 833045471. Please advise.
Now that Google Play has moved to Youtube Music and no longer supports thumbs up/down on Sonos I’d like to try out a service that does! I can’t find a list anywhere, and trial and error is very time consuming. Is there a list somewhere? If not, can we crowdsource one here? At least as a snapshot in time.
So, I heard a demo of the Sonos One SL (These things are awesome speakers, no microphones - some of us old folks love the fact that there aren’t microphones!) and the sound was excellent. I fell in love. We are looking for a good sound solution in multiple rooms streamed from my Android device. I saw the Android on the side of the box, and bought two units home from the store that day. After a neve-racking 3 hours, I couldn't do anything besides play Pandora / Spotify / YouTube Music from INSIDE the Sonos app. Each Sonos sub-app was a castrated version of the real thing you might get from Google Play. Watching a You Tube video in the You Tube App? No sound thru these speakers. Using Disney Plus? Nope, can’t do it. Using ANY Android app not in available Sonos’ library. Sorry, no sound for you. Apparently, you can send local audio directly from an Apple Device to these speakers using AirPlay. Good for you guys. Congratulations. I bet that feels great. But please, Sonos, take the Android
I have large playlists of tracks stored on a NAS. While SONOS is playing my imported playlists well, I am not able to resume playing after I have selected another source and SONOS restarts playing the list from the beginning. I have noticed that this is a feature many of other owners would welcome. However, all related posts have been closed for comments. Hopefully this is a sign that the SONOS engineers have got the message and very soon will satisfy its customers by offering a sustainable solution. I keep my fingers crossed.
Since a few weeks I can't add songs to the queue anymore in the SONOS S2 app. This is the case on my phone. This was the best function of SONOS. What happened?
For some time, our Sonos sound bar went off when we used our XR11 remote to turn off our TV. Then it stopped. The XR11 always worked to control the Sonos Sound Bar volume but at some point, the sound di not turn off when we turned off the TV, which was annoying -- we would have to turn the volume all the way down. I posted about it here: Mystery solved! At some point, I must have changes the topical fiver connections from the TV to the cable box. Turning off the TV does noting for our cable box, so the sound signal still came to the Sons. I moved the optical fiber back tot he TV and, when the TV goes off, the Sonos goes off. Mystery solved.
I recently became a Spotify Premium subscriber. Knowing I can play Spotify on Sonos systems, I was shocked to find that Spotify podcasts cannot be played through Sonos. Why the hell not? Why is Sonos blocking part of the Spotify content?
I am curious if ANYONE has ever had Sonos Radio play properly? After 7 years and many, many hours of research and talking with customer support, I have not had luck. Highly disappointed in this system - who cares how it sounds when the content is all chopped up
We have a Sonos One & Sonos SL paired as stereo controlled by a Amazon Echo Dot, this is used with Amazon Music Unlimited. I am considering cancelling my subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited and switching to Spotify. Do commands work the same on Amazon Music for instance all we had to say was Alexa Play Radio 2 and Radio 2 started, or Alexa play Fleetwood mac and on came Fleetwood Mac. Ive been told its not as easy with Spotify, and different commands are used. This would be ok with me, but not with my Mrs, its taken absolutely ages to get her to use Alexa, and almost as long to get Sonos Speakers. main reason for change is the Spotify app is much better than Amazon for me. So if Spotify isn’t as easy with commands i will leave it alone, rather than cause issues with the other half
Has Sonos ever provided an explanation for remaining stubbornly opposed to providing at least a 5- or 7-band user controlled EQ in the app? Online searches reveal a fair amount of discussion of this topic over the years, but I can’t seem to find any definitive explanation from Sonos - just a lot of talk about Trueplay, which really doesn’t do it for me.
