I have B&O 8000 speakers plugged into the Sonos port by RCA cables. If I use the Sonos supplied cables, there is no home at all. If I plug-in expensive longer cables, I get a humm in the speakers. If I replace one of the cables with the Sonos RCA supplied cables, that speaker does not humm at all. Is there something special about the Sonos RCA cables?
I have a Connect S15 and a 3rd party amp. I want to use Sonos Solance speakers but want to make sure my 3rd party amp will power them before I purchase. Any reason that setup wouldn’t work?
Hi, I have an older Sonos Connect that hasn’t been used for a while. I have loaded it up and tried to connect to a new WI-FI network using the S1 App. After trying lots of things it wouldn’t connect. I have now managed to connect it via Ethernet and the S1 app detects it but it won’t play any music as it says it requires an update. When I try to update, it instantly says “Update problem” Error code 1101. I have tried lots of things, my router settings are not blocking anything. Tried on my iPhone and Mac. Nothing is working. I see a similar question has been asked before, but the answer wasn’t sufficient. I’d love to purchase a pair of ERA300 speakers to use as surrounds, but their placement is suboptimal (to put it lightly) relative to what Sonos suggests as proper placement for these speakers as surrounds. I also have the option of installing 8” Sonos Architectural in-ceiling speakers instead. Not sure their placement would be optimal either. Full info:I already have a Sonos ARC (about 6 months old) Distance from TV (and ARC) to main listening position: 13 ft Room continues beyond the listening position another 20+ feet into an open dining room and kitchen Room width 17 ft Ceiling height 9 ft Ceiling speaker location: 9 ft wide, about 2.5 to 3 ft behind the head at primary listening position. This is pretty far off from the Sonos recommendation for speaker placement, which is 4-10 feet behind the head and the listening position should be about midway between the soundbar and the rear surrounds. I have installed my sonance 6.1 system, and when I wire the subwoofer to all four wires- both right and left channel- the sub cuts out. It seems to work fine when I only attach one channel… at this point I have white and green connected and red and black are not. What would cause the sub to short out when all four wires are connected and why does it seem to work OK with only two?
Hi, this is doing my head in, can't seem to get the Denon to push out sound to my new second hand Sonos Gen 1 stuff. I've got a Sonos connect, 2 x Play 5 (gen1) speakers. trying to hook up old Denon TT, CD, Tape and DVD deck through my denon amp to the new speakers. previously had passive speakers that worked fine. I can get turntable to play if I bypass everything and use 3.5mm jack from small pre amp and it sounds great, but I want it all to go through the AVR. Any help appreciated
I use Sonos in a restaurant and we manage the music + volume through the app.Every day, at the same time, the volume turns down on its own. I turn it up, and 2 or 3 seconds later, it turns back down again. It seems to be capped at 15, won’t stay any higher. Later in the night (several hours later, once the restaurant is closed again), we can take it back up.We have 2 other locations where we use Sonos (2 separate bars), and no issue there, only the one in the restaurant.Any idea what is happening?
i have installed the new sonos app.but i cant controll my sonos speakers because, the app will authorize my local network on my ios phone.but i did it allready and nothing is going on the sonos app?Has there anybody the same problem?
I am struggling with how I’m going to bring wiring through stucco wall (no attic or basement) for the amp to be inside my living room. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Music keeps cutting in and out. Internet speed is fine at 250 mbps. Any ideas? App is really sluggish.
The set-up of the new ERA 100 was a bit of nightmare. Wasn’t able to set them up in the location for which they were intended and had to swap them with a pair of my Sonos Ones. Finally set-up and and placed in a different location. Then the ERA 100s would not stay connected while all other SONOS products are rock solid inluding the Sonos Ones I moved to where the ERA 100s where supposed to go. After a day and a half of playing ‘peek-a-boo’ with speakers, I go fed up and sent them back. The ERA 100s are not ready for prime-time. The new app on iOS is no improvement either. My music library disconnects intermittently too. Solid on PC version, however. Thank goodness. Sonos, you need to do more integration and regression testing with new products. Very disappointed.
my Sonos one sl players keep dropping from the app and it is never an easy fix to reset them and reattach. Half the time it fails. WHAT THE * SONOS????? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
After upgrading S2 App was asked to ‘re-authorise’ Apple Music.Continual spinning wheel and re-authorisation fails.Have tried from iPhone, iPad and MacBook.
I have multiple Sonos connect amps. All are Ethernet connected to my Eero routers. There are 4 Eero routers all on the same network and there are no wifi issues. Two of the amps do not show up on the app and often show up together but without the others. Right now on one iPhone I see 7 amps and on another iPhone I see 2. Sometime one or two others also go to a different network. The iPhones are on the same wifi network. Any suggestions how to get them all together? Update--i went on the Sonos web app and I see that I hace 4 systems. i just want one system so that i can access all of my amps from a single phone.
I am adding a Amp gen 2 to my existing system it is an older amp that i am moving from another system. my system finds it okay and during the add process it says it needs a software update. It has been updating for 24 hours and really hasn’t moved off of 80% for the last 8 hours? any ideas?
Hi i I have an older style Sonos amp which was working well. This week i noticed music play back was stopping and starting. I contacted support today. They said it looked like a memory issue. they had me factory reset the amp. After doing this the amp is found. It adds. But then says unable to link to account. I’ve tried following Sonos support advise to restart / power off and factory reset again. Every times it’s the same. I have tried both wired and wireless connections bits always the same. It adds to the app. But won’t register to the account. support have now gone offline. So now rather than having music randomly stopping and starting. I’ve got no music at all. I also tried the app on my phone and iPad. And uninstalled / reinstalled the app too.
In response to users' complaints that alarm features are missing from the new APP, it's rumored a new device will possibly be released shortly. Here's an image of what it may look like. No other details are presently known.
I have updated the Sonos app yesterday and now none of my speakers will connect to the app. I’m being told that I have to disable the Sonos Boost and try connecting again. Are others having these sorts of issues?
I have a Sonos AMP with speakers hard wired to my Kitchen and to my Patio. I would like to be able to run those areas as two separate zones. Is this possible or do I need a second amp?
Can I connect Speakers on Bridge mode on Sonos Amp?? For example for a Subwoofer to get more power?

I have a sonos amp connected to Sonance outdoor speakers. The speakers have both stopped working (only the tweater is working on each speaker). This is the second time in two years that the sonance speakers stopped working. 1. I have reset the amp2. Checked wiring3. Had sonos customer service perform diagnostics over the phone (listening to speaker). He said the amp is working properly, this is a speaker issue.4. I talked to Sonance customer service. He said that the speakers are definitely blown. He said this is NOT a common problem they see (and they put tons of them in marine environments). He said that he thinks this is a sonos amp problem and while sonos amps can over power these speakers, properly functioning ones should not. So, below is a review of my system. The outside zone consists of one sonos amp powered through a surge protector, 30 feet of 16-4AWG, Oxygen free, CL3 and burial rated wire to each speaker with only the black and red leads connected. The speakers ar
