I have (3) Sonos Connect 1st Gen Wireless amps. (2) of them are side by side right next to my router. 1 of the 2 is constantly cutting in and out and it is the only one that does this. The other 2 performs perfectly. (Also, one of those amps are connected directly to my router.) I know it’s not the streaming service that I use because it cuts out not matter what streaming service I use. It could be interference, but there isn’t anything else around my router or the amps that it could be interfering with. Please help
Ik heb een Marantz model CR611 die ik graag zou willen koppelen aan mijn Sonos one speakers Iemand een idee welke mogelijkheden er zijn?
I have a new Sonos Amp and a SVS subwoofer hum problem that I can't diagnose.1. When the Sonos Amp is UNPLUGGED and the mains outs are unplugged and only the sub out on the Sonos Amp is connected to the SVS sub, there's a hum. The hum is louder than when the Sonos Amp is plugged into the wall.2. When I unplug the Sonos amp and turn off the sub amp, then turn on the sub amp and plug in the Sonos amp, humming starts after a few seconds—before the white light on the Sonos amp stops blinking.3. There is no hum When the sub is plugged into the receiver.4. When the sub RCA isn't plugged into anything, there is no hum.5. I've tried plugging both the Sonos amp and the sub into the same outlet. They're still humming.6. I've tried new high-end shielded cables from SVS. Still humming.7. I've tried on a different SVS sub. Still humming.8. I've tried a ground loop isolator. Still humming.8. I've tried plugging the Sonos amp into a different circuit 100' away from the sub outlet, but it's still humm
What do you all think about the Amp powering Yamaha NS-F150 speakers ? They are 88 sen and 6ohm
My system exists of a beam gen1 and sub gen 1 in the living room and 1 one in the kitchen.I wanted to connect my old cd-player or recordplayer to my system. I managed to get my hands on a second hand sonos connect gen2.I installed the connect to my system. Updated it etc.I can see a “line-IN” option in my homescreen in the S2 app under sources. When i select this Line-IN, i get another screen which shows the connect. After that nothing happens. On my test setup, met old cd-player is connected to the IN ports red and white.I tested the cd-player with a receiver to make sure there was signal coming out of the cd-player,
Sounds fading in and outI’ve got 5 Sonos AMPs in my home in separate zones. Some point this year, I believe since the update, one of my amps/zones consistently won’t play music without routinely fading in and out (to silence). It does this approximately every 20-30 seconds and lasts about 2 seconds. All amps are hard connected to LAN via ethernet from a Ethernet switch. It is the same amp every time. If I play it alone or in a group, it will do this. I have powered on and off the entire AV system starting at modem, router and amps. This occurs with AirPlay or streaming through app. Any ideas what this could be coming from? I am hoping it isn’t an amp issue as it worked perfectly fine for several years previously.
I have two older Sonos Connect systems operated with the S2 App. One of the systems has been suffering from ten second drops in streaming music every 20 minutes or so. Our router is very close to the system, doubt that signal strength is the issue. Have tried the usual steps (unplugging etc) other than (1) factory reset and (2) updating the Connect firmware/software. The problem I am having is that while I can log into the Sonos app, when I try to log into the “system” the log in fails. I figure I need to log into the system to update it. I’m told “something went wrong try again.” I am guessing that the system was registered under my old, now inaccessible work email address even though it seems like the app itself works, I can play music etc.We had many issues with the system after the update earlier this year but most of them seem resolved. Would really like to avoid a factory reset if possible.
Hello please i need some help … Please can someone tell the correct set up so i can listen to vinyl on 2 x turntables with a citronic Mk 2 mixer to sonos connect gen 1 , i have rca cables .. and have tried many different connections to mixer and amp … no sound i have sonos 1 controller and sonos app thank you .
I have a pair of Sonos ERA 300 speakers, they are grouped, and I have a turntable connected to one of the speakers using the Sonos adapter (USB-C/Jack). However, the sound from the turntable only plays on one speaker. Is this normal?
Hi have a SONOS 1 system and a new AMP to deliver music to Bose speakers in my room. I have downgraded the AMP to Sonos 1. I play music on iTunes on my PC, and this gets into the Sonos system through my line in of the AMP. This plays without interruption on the many SONOS speakers I have, but the Bose speakers in my room drop out for a second every once in a while. How to ensure that the AMP sufficiently buffers sound for the Bose speakers, connected to the AMP?Thanks in advance for looking into this.
Hello Im trying to get my Amp to use trueplay for my in wall sonance architectural speakers. I can hear the shrill noise but then it says No Sonos Architectual speakers detected. I bought these from the sonos website. I'm using 16 gauge wire. Any advice to troubleshoot?
On the verge of insanity here. I’ve upgraded all compatible products in my system (Play 1’s, arc) to the new S2 controller to have everything in one place. Plan was to leave my gen 1 Connect (which is incompatible with S2 controller) and Boost on the old app. After much effort I’ve managed to move everything I wanted to the new app. However when trying to now create a new system on S1 for the Connect/Boost I've ran into a wall. The Boost has connected fine, but when I tried to sort the Connect it just won't work. First my S1 app started crashing every time it asked me to enter the WIFI password when setting up Connect. Then when I tried on different device it just won’t work: app will run into problems due I think to WIFI connectivity. The infuriating part is that the Connect is in the exact same place it has been for years with no problems. I’ve tried everything: factory reset the connect, temporarily wire it to the router via ethernet cable and then move back once set up, but app sti
My system was working well but recently only one of four architectural speakers connected to an AMP has sound? I have interchanged the wire connection and only the same speaker has sound.
Hi. I have a new Onkyo receiver and a new Port. I have the digital coax output from the Port to the input of the receiver, as instructed in the setup. I have an RCA output from the Line 2/B of the receiver to the Line In of the Port. I have the Port grouped with two OneSL speakers. I can see that the sound is going from receiver to the Port and the other two speakers; however, there is no sound output from these speakers. What am I doing wrong? I have done the global software update to all of my Sonos products.
I have a AMP with 2 speakers attached. The overall sound is not good for me as the equalizer is too poor. To have an acceptable sound i push the 2 levels at max … For such an expensive device it is a bit disapointing. To overcome this issue I would like to have an active equalizer between source and the Sonos AMP.I have found 2 options and your feedback would be greatly appreciated before shopping:Option 1 (expensive): i buy a Sonos Port and a EQ901 Equalizer from Deer Creek Audio. Setup would be:Sonos Port out → EQ901 → in Sonos AMP → speakers. I would manage music from the Port and the active equalizer from EQ901.Option 2: I buy an Bluesound Node Nano and the setup would be:Bluesound Node Nano → in Sonos AMP → speakers. I would manage music from my iphone via Airplay 2 (AM in lossless most of my usage way) and use the equalizer from the Bluesound.Makes sense ? Thank you in advance.
as the title clearly indicates upon the successful addition of the Sonos boost to my home theater set up, it is not shown as a device with options under system settings. it’s all shown here in this iCloud photo link. The first image is upon the successful addition and the second photo is upon the closing of the window that says that the boost will be displayed in settings.https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b4ORyJYCPum9Xq3ylOlQud8Qit is very important to me that I am able to display and change the settings for the boost so that I know that it is functioning correctly and that I am able to use it correctly. — Although all indications suggest it is working, I have evidence that it is not because all devices are still connected to the wireless network and not the Sonos network. But I am not 100% That it would not be connected to my wireless network.please help and if it was never a device fully integrated into the second version of this application; Sonos please add it completely
Trying to connect this sub to a Sonos amp and all I’m getting is a constant hum as for ceilings speakers play music but no audio through sub. Have played with all setting in app to match settings in back of sub but still a hum when I plug in both rca ports. Even tried another sub and still managed to hum so don’t believe it’s the cord or sub issue. I haven’t tried a ground loop yet and will have link below to what cord I am using but am just stuck. Confused as if I’m using the wrong cord or not?Amazon Basics 3.5 Aux to 2 x RCA... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D5H8KO2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Hi all, My Sonos Connect Gen 2 keeps dropping out. It can stay connected and working fine for days of use, then all of a sudden it will not be available in my system. Some basics: It’s connected by ethernet to a switch in my office. Wifi is turned off. I use toslink/optical to connect to a Denon amp with DALI speakers. I have a static IP address assigned in my address table. 192.168.1.100.When this tends to happen: I stream internet radio through tune-in. Once it’s playing it’s totally fine. But once i stop the stream through the app or through the physical button and leave it over night, the next day it’s almost guaranteed to not be connected. Other things i have noticed: I have noticed on reboot one time that there was interference or noise coming through my speakers. I am not sure what this was (could have been the cable, but unlikely). I suspect it was coming directly from the Connect itself.I think this is not a networking issue (as most people point to these days), but a hardware
I have a generation 1 Sonos system and really don’t want to upgrade. However, I am experiencing issues 0laying from my turntable through the Sonos connect - agree a couple of minutes it cuts out. Have tried everything recommended and have decided the connect probably has a fault and I need to replace. Obviously not made now but can anyone suggest a place to buy a replacement which is in working order and ideally with some form of guarantee? Plenty on eBay but generally private sellers.
One of the amps has a dim white light, the other two are shining bright yellow lights
Hi, I have a Sonos AMP gen 3, but it does not reset to factory settings, only the white light flashes, I followed and applied all the instructions but I did not get any results
Hello, I moved some furniture in my office and decided I wanted to use TruePlay again. I went in the app and when it went to confirm the speakers it came back as failed. I have 3 different amps with 3 different pairs of Sonos architectural speakers that aren’t working. I’ve had this setup for over 2 years and nothing has changed which leads me to believe it’s software based. Has anyone else noticed their amps not “seeing” the Sonos speakers?
Burned component on Sonos Amp bottom PCBMy Sonos Amp just died. Its totally unresponsive, there is not even any light in the LED. Tried calling Sonos support and they basically just said “Sorry, its out of warrenty. It can’t be repaired. We can give you a discount on a new Amp”. Well, sorry - with that attitude I am not exaclty inclined to send any more of my money to Sonos.Given that the unit is a write-off I decided to take it apart. Looks like there is a burned resistor on the bottom PCB. However, this resistor have properly been killed off by some othet fauilty component.I seldom ply music on this Amp so it quite strange that it died.Anyone have any idea how to get it fixed?
We have 6 Sonos AMPs at our client. Three are connected from switch 1 and three are on switch 2.On switch 2, duplicate devices are displayed and disconnect these Sonos and Sonos'AMP switches to Wi-Fi Sonos. How can I prevent SONOS from turning on WI-Fi and how can I prevent Wi-Fi connectivity from turning on separately.Current SW, devices are about a month old.Thank you for your help.
Have 2 Sonos connect hard version 1.22.1.5-1.1(bedroom) and 1.17.5.-1.1(living room). Both systems are on latest software 16.5. Living room connects and plays consistently. Bedroom cuts out of network after 5 minutes or so playing. Solution hard reset and reconnect and plays for another 5 minutes and goes out of reach. After spending hours either Sonos support and providing multiple crash despots diagnostics I get a 30% off on a new Sonos connect. Ridiculous. Can’t blame network as the one needing reset and reconnect is sitting 1inch away from router. Tried hard wired. Sad resolution. I have one Sonos working so I can carry on. However I would like to provide feedback for those with similar issue and hardware and software versions. You don’t need a 30% off on a new Sonos as a solution. You can get 30% off during holiday shopping without contacting support.
