So my move is no longer connecting to WiFi nor will it go into Bluetooth mode (no blue light). Ran set up a few times but says Move added but not to wifi, please continue in setting tab, of course there its only shows not connected to wifi. The only change recently was a ComCast upgraded router to gigabit speed. I have rebooted that several times. No Joy. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Guys,I’m having an issue with one area in my house so resetting my system. I’ve read I could hardwire one speaker, which will create the SonosNet (WM:0), then connect the other speakers to the SonosNet instead of wifi. Issue is, when I set up the remaining speakers (after a factory reset), they come up as WM:1), only the wired Play:1 shows WM:0.Am I missing something? I presume the SonosNet is therefore not working? Thanks for any help! 🍻
So I recently upgraded to a Mac Mini M1 with Big Sur and have been using a Sonos One speaker connected via AirPlay. I’ve been reading about many variations of audio syncing issues on various forums, and thought I would share my specific issue & what I’ve found to be an actual working solution. My issue was that after my Mac went to sleep (either after me putting in sleep mode or walking away from the computer for a time) it would begin to get out of sync, particularly via Safari videos. The only way I could resolve the issue was a restart of the Mac.Simply enough I disabled sleep mode & sync issues magically disappeared for me... although it sucks as I would prefer to leave my Mac to go into sleep mode, but for the sake of keeping in sync this is the only way I can get it working for me.
Had my Sonos Move a few weeks now & been loving it, perfect for what I wanted it for, however the last 2 days the sound quality has gone to a level of my old car stereo in my first Vauxhall Nova back in the day!! (And that was poor!) It sounds like it has something over the front of it….not muffled but the sound is far away rather then clear and ‘right next to you’…..sorry for the poor description, it’s quite hard to explain. It could be that I’ve pressed something without realising, at least I hope so after the cost of the speaker! Anyone had this & able to help? TIA
Hi, We are having problems with Spotify play via our Sonos App. The Sonos App plays all streamed music on the Sonos side, but as soon as i start Spotify and start a song via Spotify, it plays for a few seconds and then stops. the error message - Unable to play ‘Lost’ - the connection to Spotify was lost. Any advice is welcome!Cheers,Sanjay
I cannot get onto S1 App due to constant ‘Use Sonos S2 app’ message covering the whole screen. I’ve changed in profile for only email notifications but this is stopping me using my system at all. HELP. So annoyed with it all after spending so much money!
I have a Project turntable connected to a Port. There is the annoying buzz consistently referenced here indicating the need for a grounding. The Port does not have a ground offered. What can be done for this? It really seems like a common issue and should be addressed in the literature so we don’t have to hunt the web for possible solutions.
After many repeated attempts I have been unable to join 2 Move speakers as a stereo pair on WiFi. I follow the instructions but at the last step( as the speakers play the tone) one speaker cuts out completely. has anyone else experienced this, of have a solution?
yesterday they stole my sonos move, being registered in my name in my system, but to use it they have to reset and log in again and create a sonos account, can the cashier be blocked and rendered unusable? can it be located via the police? and also recover ?… Any similar experience?
Hello my Sonos amp one of two was working fine for years. Till it stopped the other day. All the lights are on. I’ve checked all the wires. Did a reset to amp. Plugged the wires into the amp that does the ext speakers and the speakers all worked fine. So I’m missing something with the amp or it’s fried. Here’s the diagnostic number 242145167
Hi, When my Sonos works, it is great rich bass and decent volume. The other 95% of the time it is the most hateful thing I own. Just recently I have lost all sound output and have no volume control. I have spent the last three hours removing all the software from my phone and computer, playing with settings, resetting the speaker and generally getting frustrated. I have a feeling my 17 year old son may have done something to the speaker as his account is currently the primary account name. Is it possible to break the internal amp or speakers within it. If I get my year right next to the speaker i can make out the tunes I want to listen to, so I know the WiFi and set up is correct. The volume limit is set to off.I just need to get it working so I can sell it and replace with something else which is a real shame because I am not quite sure I will get the same sound quality elsewhere. Thanks in advance
I have a Spotify Premium account. So far, SONOS plays everything on Spotify except for a Spotify radio program titled “The Blues Kitchen Radio.” The program plays fine on my Bluetooth speakers. What can I do to get it to play on SONOS?
Hello,I have three (3) 1’s and one (1) 5 connected via a Nighthawk mesh wifi system. The system has great bandwidth but the Sonos system keeps dropping off. I have hard wired and factory resetted a number of times and the speakers show up for a period of time and then drop. I have changed channels (to 11, and 1 so far) and still the Sonos system keeps dropping. I have tried just about everything I can find and it still drops. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Hi,i use 5 Sonos speakers in SonosNET mode with a boost wired to the Ethernet. Additionally, i wired one of the Play:1 Speakers as well. If i do now chose to disable the radio (in the App) for the wired Play:1, all of my other speakers disappear, and only the boost and the wired play:1 is visible. In the Network Configuration, the Boost is setup as root bridge. I understand that this device should manage the sonosnet. So disabling the radio of the wired Play:1 should not interfere. Where’s my mistake?Maybe as a side note: The Play:1 and Boost which are wired are located right next to each other. I my idea was to disable the Play:1 radio to minimize network interferences.
I am getting cut outs and then a new song every few minutes, can someone help troubleshoot that for me? Diagnostics being submitted now
My Sonos One works perfectly when I’m just using it to stream radio / music but when I try and play something from my phone using Airplay firstly it will only connect about 50% of the time. It always shows the sonos one in the list of airplay alternatives but wont connect. When this happens I then try and use the same phone to connect to the Sonos app - this also fails but when I use the app to rectify the problem it will then connect. I can then connect my music app on iPhone to the sonos and it will start playing but after a few songs it will disconnect again. Does anyone have any ideas please? Some more info:I’m using a BT Homehub which I have physically connected to a second router in a different room for WiFi coverage. This second router uses the same ID and password.
We have many problems with AC ARUBA AP 505 . Speakers disappear : the APP does not find speakers. Please help
Hi. The only service I presently subscribe to is Idagio. For the last week or so, it’s been unlistenable. It’s choppy, and cuts out every minute or so. I also have my itunes library in Sonos, and those tracks play fine. It’s just the streaming. To check whether or not the problem is with Idagio or Sonos, I signed up for a free trial of Primephonic, and that cuts out exactly the same as Idagio. How can I deal with this?
Dear all, I’m trying to get a dedicated Router - Play 1 - Sonosnet → all other speakers (avoiding my wireless completely as it’s causing drop outs). The Play 1 is wired into my router’s ethernet with an ethernet cable. It says it’s WM: 0 on the “About My System” tab. So this means it’s working wired, I believe. Now all of the other speakers still say WM: 1. This means they are still wireless! (But I don’t know if this is my house wireless or the sonosnet wireless. - how do I tell?) I carried out the steps here:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3209?language=en_US “Switch Sonos between a wireless and wired setup” Do I need a boost instead of the play 1? I can’t turn off the wifi on the other speakers unless they are plugged in (it says).I have “SonosNet Channel” option in my Network tab. This may mean something??? Any insights gratefully received. Thanks!Graham
Dear community, I have a 5.1 with the playbar and another 6 play one in my flat. Today I plugged an ethernet cable in one of the play one not part of the 5.1 and, naively, expect all the speakers to switch from wm1 to wm0. Unfortunately only the one I plugged in switched to wm0.How can I fix it? Thanks
Hi all,As per title really, I’m trying to setup two Connect:Amps (Gen 1) for surround sound from my TV. The line-in works great and both amps are currently setup as different rooms & are performing well (wireless & wired modes both work fine when tested). However, step 3 of the guide: “Under Products, tap the Sonos home theater room” - I don’t see an option for the “Sonos home theatre room”. Any ideas? Guide is here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/2927And this is where I started:
I really have no idea How to read this chart ????? https://ibb.co/hC2950s the sonos 3-1 ste sal and 5-1 ste sal keeps disconecting and i really have no idea How to read that chart
Hi there,As many as other users, I’m experiencing audio issues with my Sonos system. I use it only with Spotify. I don’t have any local media library and other services. The songs skip or stop but counter still playing in the app. I can happen 3 times in 10 minutes but can be also stable for a whole day.I know there is an issue with Spotify but I would like to be sure it’s not wireless interference.I’m pretty sure it’s not but I’d would like to have no doubts. I called the customer support few weeks ago (before finding the Spotify thread I mentioned earlier) I have been told that my wireless setup could be the issue because I’m using the same network on both bands and I have several access points. My wireless setup is based on Ubiquiti APs. All the Sonos speakers are wireless (3 Sonos One SL, 1 Move). All the APs are wired. The UniFi controller reports that all the sonos products are connected to the 5 Ghz (except the Move which is weird because it’s as the same distance from the AP th
Play:1 on wifi (measuring with my wifi analyzer close to the unit it says full power)50% of the time each morning I get chime instead of my favorite radio channel. If I turn it of and pushes play the radio starts normally, so it is not a connection problem. Amp wired:My Amp starts alway normally on the same radio channel. My send dianostic number is: 579536031 Note : I use Google wifi to cover my house.
I listen to a 6iX ( Local Perth WA radio station ) on my Sonos speakers via Tunein. After about 15 minutes this station starts to “stutter” and eventually cuts out. When I restart the station all is well until it all repeats after 15 minutes or so.I would add that 6iX is the ONLY station that this happens to. All other stations streamed are faultless and will continue all day. I have a high speed internet connection at 100mps fibre to the premises. My Sonos speakers are connected to my router via Ethernet cables. All other Wi-fi or Ethernet connected products in my home are fine. Help please???
