Hi. My playbase disconnects from my system constantly. I have rebooted, done numerous factory resets and readded it only to have it disconnect. Yes the lights flash the correct colors on reset. I have tried wireless and wired. I have rebooted my router numerous times including shutting off the system. The admin panel on my Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro does not indicate an IP conflict. I have 3 play 5’s in various places, a playbase, subwoofer and two play 1’s on a TV in a different room, a connect in my office and a powered connect driving an outdoor systems. My home network is very high-end with3 commercial Ubiquiti AP’s and 2 home AP’s to extend to patios. Sometimes it is easy to reconnect and sometimes very hard. I updated the firmware recently one of the times it reconnected. I am exasperated. Please help.
I know this topic has been brought up in the past but I see no conclusion. When will I be able to use my free youtube music account? Currently I only see No selections are available each time I use my Sonos app with my service.Everything works fine when I use the native youtube music app
Hi, I have some Sonos Play:1. One in the kitchen and another (two in stereo mode) in the living room. When I play or pause in kitchen, the living room starts playing or pause too, but they aren’t grouped. In this case each room with its own music using Spotify. The opposite does not happen, the living room players do not interfere in kitchen player. It seems a bug. How can I fix this?
Hi,I'm not getting sound out of my gen 1 Play 1 surrounds with Playbase.I've removed the surrounds and successfully tested sound through them as individual units.I've hard reset the surrounds and re added them. I get an error message saying there was a problem preparing them. The end result is no sound but I can control the volume through the top button.I've tried a variety of sound sources but it only played through the Playbase and not the surrounds.Any ideas? Edit: also checked to make sure they're WiFi enabled
I can’t add my surround speakers to my arc. I did before, but one of them dropped out, know I can’t connect them again. I did factory reset on the one that dropped out. The system asks if I want to may the two speakers surround speakers. I say yes, then one of them gives a sound and I click that picture. Then the system fails to complete the setup. The faulty speakers is again lost by the system. Before I try to make the surround connection I can use the speaker as normal with no problems. Any one know what could be wrong?
I have a large music library and quite often hit the limit at which point I move some albums to my “not-on-sonos” folder so I can still access them via Plex. I updated my index yesterday and noticed that an artist was missing - this artist has a “foreign” character in the name “ø”. I then checked an album by another artist that I knew had a foreign character “ō” and it’s missing as well. This was working for me last week - I could see+play the artists/albums using sonos!? Why can’t I see them anymore? Is it a change to the sonos system or do I need to move a bunch more albums out before they will re-appear? And no, these are not playlists, they are mp3 albums stored on my NAS… the same place I have been storing them for years. Nothing else I can think of has changed in my network. It’s a bit insulting if we can’t have ‘foreign’ characters… even my wife’s name has “ē” on it.
Morning all,I have a Sonos AMP which has been happily wired to a Panasonic EX800B TV (midrange 2020 set) via HDMI on ARC. The sound works very well via the AMP to the ceiling B&W’sBut, I bought a new 4k Freesat box which I enthusiastically plugged into the TV to try. Picture wise …. 10/10, all good. But no sound from the Sonos AMP. I’m not sure how to configure to get sound o/p from the add-on box to the AMP.Anyone have experience of using the HDMI to AMP when using a set top box? Appreciate any help I can get on this. Many thanks in advance
Hi,I have noticed that my Sonos system is using a lot of bandwidth. Does anyone would know why?97GB in the last 7 days. Unless this is local traffic (on my Wifi). What would create this? I am not streaming radio or music through the Sonos app. I only use the Sonos system as home cinema. Thanks for your help, Charles
Hi all, I have 2 Symfonisks (amongst other speakers)On the last update, the one managed to update to 13.2. The other could not update at all.So, i took it to a friend's house, i Hardware reset it, i created another Sonos account and i managed to update it to 13.2The problem is, when i took it back home and did the reset again to add it back to my original network, it cannot complete the registration. The speaker is added to the network but cannot register.I went back to the account i have newly created and i see that the Symfonisk is still in there. Can somebody assist me in :moving the speaker out of that new account deleting the new account as it serves no purpose any more Registering the updated speaker back to my old account?
I am getting major speaker dropouts when trying to play Amazon Music Playlists. I recently ‘upgraded to Amazon Music HD’ and I am wondering whether that is connected? Diagnostic 8730064442 taken a few mins after it happened this morning. If I play a playlist from my local NAS it is fine. All speakers behave and play music fine. If I try an Amazon Music playlist it goes berserk with various speakers dropping in and out. It is unlistenable.ISP is BT. 70 Mbps reliable download speed. Location is South East United Kingdom.Router is BT Smarthub 2 which is hard wired into a Netgear 24-port gigabit switch (JGS524PE).Full managed wi-fi is provided across the house by five hard wired Ubiqiti Unifi access points (three AC-PRO and 2 AC-LITE). Single SSID on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. BT Router wifi is turned off.Sonos is using the above wi-fi network. I have 2 x Play 5 speakers and 10 x Play 1 speakers for music and a sub, soundbar and 2 Play 1 speakers for TV.Any help appreciated.Stu
Hi EveryoneEvery time I pause YouTube Music, ( e.g. answer a call) and then I hit play again, the song suddenly skips to the next song.Any idea how to fix this? This happens with the SYMFONISK, Play:1 & Beam.
Earlier this year, I installed about 12 speakers throughout my home. I have a few pairs of ones, fives, and moves. When everything works, it's glorious; however, I've had so many problems! I've spent literally hours on the phone with tech support between sonos and my ISP, and it's really getting old. I've sunk a ton of money into this system, and I'm so sick of dealing with problems instead of enjoying it!The latest problem (which just started about a week ago) is that when I open the app, it says "unable to connect, let's fix it". The problem is that I am connected... my Amazon Alexa works on the speakers, and all the white indicator lights are on. My phone is also connected to the same wifi signal, but they are not recognizing each other. I've tried logging in with multiple devices (android, iOS, PC), and it's the same with all of them. Tech support blames it on the wifi, but literally everything else in the house works just fine, and I don't understand how it could be wifi when
Can I use play 3’s as front surrounds with playbase, Sub and Sonos ones at the rear?
Greetings! I had been using Sonos Connect ZP90 for many years and few month ago started experience sound cuts out. I contacted Sonos technical support team and they suggested to fully reset the system and connect the device to the Internet via an Ethernet cable. I did as suggested, but the issue is still here. Recently the unit stopped sound output completely. However I discovered that the sound output resumes while I keep pushing volume up or down keys (either on the device, CR 2000 remote controller or in Sonos iOS app). This observation made me suspect a hardware flaw or issue, for example bad electric contact on the motherboard due to poor soldering or something. The unit is out of warranty for a long time so I have a DIY repair option. I searched the forum and found the closed thread Unfortunately, the thread does not provide a solution. I plan to disassemble the unit on this week and re-solder motherboard contacts. Any suggestions to focus attention? Can you share you
As has been described before, this message has appeared when I try to EITHER: Create a new playlist, or even add to the existing ones I have. I am running a Sonos Play:1 and Play:5 on the S1 app.I called and submitted a diagnostic, only to be told that I have the maximum number of playlists allowed (I have 20, and one only has 11 songs in it!!!) and I have to delete some. I had already removed all the imported playlists which came from my iTunes, so when I explained this, the support agent refused to acknowledge this was a ridiculous statement, and stuck to telling me I had to delete playlists. Unable to pass me on to a supervisor, but did escalate my case, if that actually means anything. We shall see. So- has anyone actually found a workaround for this ridiculous issue? The tech support used to be far more helpful, i am sure! Thanks in advance.Robin
I have two Sonos paired together to play from my Spotify Playlist however I am finding whenever I search the web or text while listening it stops playing. Any clue on how to fix this…it is so frustrating.
Hi,I own a Sonos One and a Sonos Roam and have experienced no end of issues with connectivity. I do not have a unstable inernet connection and all of my other devices (mobile phone, tv etc.) work fine however my sonos one refuses to connect. When I come to use it, it will not show up on the connect devices tab in spotify (despite my account being connected to sonos), and in the app I will repeatedly go through the "find system" setup, or completely reset the speaker, only for it to say that it could not connect. It does work sometimes and the roam is much better because of the bluetooth feature but I do not understand why it does not connect. With the ammount of money these cost I would expect them to work much better. Is there anything anyone can do to help?Thank you,Marshall W
I have recently gone over to Sonos and am trying to make sure i don’t get this wrong.Electricians are on site and therefore cabling not a problem at the moment. My router, fibre at 316mbs, is situated in the entrance hall. Standalone, with a CAt7 cable to a switch on the sub basement where the office is, In the salon, 6 metres from the router, is an 85 ‘’ Bravia, ARC, Sub and two One SL’s. Eight metres away in the kitchen is a 75 ‘’ Bravia and another ARC. The floor is open plan. Across a bridge is a bedroom and in that room will be a Sonos Symfonisk Picture speaker. For this floor that is it. The stairs from the entrance hall to the lower level are adjacent to the routers location. This is where I come unstuck. Although I have for some reason two network SSID’s, one being 5G as a suffix the signal as you go to the lower floor and into the garage gets very weak, no matter which one you use. I have purchased a Boost which I will place at the foot of the stairs and that shoud broadcast th
Hi Sonos, I have been using sonos for over a year now for this system, it run perfectly fine but until recently:I have few system:1. arc + one sl x2 + sub2. playbar + amP + sonance3. amp + sonance4. Few Sonos oneThe playbar is always missing from the app. I have perform device and router power off for a few times to add it back. But It doesn’t fix the problem permanently as it will keep missing again. For info, my network was setup in WiFi mesh, it’s running fine and no settings has been changed. diagnostic number 239312862Regards,keith.
I’ve owned Sonos product since 2012. Brilliant. Many have purchased on my advice. However, as of late, Sonos is insufferable. My kit: two ZP:90s and a Move. Special note: my ZP:90s have always been wired Cat5e to my router, whereas “community” posts flagging up “Asus + Sonos” trouble are almost exclusively a WiFi setup. My .FLAC music Library resides on a NAS also connected Cat5e.Issues started 8-10 weeks ago. Except for (background) S1 controller updates which may have gone unnoticed, I had not pro-actively changed any equipment, wiring or configuration for over 12 months. My router is not set to “automatically” update firmware.Problem. Sonos “Rooms” unexpectedly “disappear” in S1 controller. Unplug/re-plug ZP:90 to (temporarily) remedy. Repeat as necessary :(Problem. Sonos’ TuneIn radio station playback stutter and/or stop-start and/or disconnect. Repeatedly.Problem. Can’t reliably play music Library on NAS. Playback stutter. Playback stops mid-song then randomly resumes next song, nex
Hi everyone, I was hoping to see if anyone had run into the same issue as me on my Roam, and if so if they were able to resolve the issue. The first time I start a playing session with Spotify Connect, the song I choose to play starts playing about half-way through. However, the progress bar in the Spotify app starts from the start of the song - so there is a disconnect between the actual audio of the song and what is shown in the app.If I manually drag the progress back to the start, the audio and the progress bar sync perfectly to the start of the song.A couple of other observations:This only happens with the first song played after connecting to the Roam with Spotify Connect within the Spotify app This only happens with Spotify connect. The Sonos app, Airplay etc all work as expected. About 1/10 times the Spotify Connect doesn’t even connect and I have to restart the app a few times to get it working. This only seems to be happening on iPhone. When starting a Connect session from my
I have an amp connecting my tv and my Apple TV and speakers using eathernet . I’ve noticed my sound goes out randomly using some appS and I need to go out of the app, click around, and then sound pops back up… ideas ?
I'm having problems with my sonos system. the hsr previously worked but has at times skipped songs or been at times it does not find some speakers, or suddenly stops playing. Now it does not work to play any samger from spotifye. the apartment is 120m2 and I live in an apartment from 1896 with a lot of thick walls. yes wifi is not super good because of this. I have moved the internet outlet to the middle of the apartment, bought a killer router and ordered high speed, without it seeming to solve the problem (have also factory reset all speakers and added them again) struggled a bit to add the speakers as I often got error 800 but it is now fixed. Have ordered a Sonos boost, do you think this solves the problem or is it something else?
