Hi, I recently updated my router at home. Now i try to reconnect my Sonos speakers but the Ikea Synfonisk bookshelf has a problem.I updated my app to the latest version and an update to my Synfonisk poped up.So i updated my Synfonisk and connected the speaker to the new network but now i cant find it in my system any more. When i try to add the speaker to my system but the app wont find it.I tryed to factory reset it but it didn't help.I tryed to contact the Sonos support but no one was at work during the week. can any one help?
My settings are: My Sonos connect is connected to a device/connecter which again connects to my #1 Yamaha Amplifier, (connected to my loudspeakers) as well as- via an optical cable, to my former #2 Samsung Smart Tv. TV Sound was played on my loudspeakers. 8 days ago I installed a new Samsung TV The Frame 2021, which ran smoothly. Without having touched any cables, the TV sound went missing to 1 loudspeaker, later to the 2nd. Sonos/spotify runs as usual/no problems. Was on Samsung Helpdesk who couldn’t help. Samsung Tv appears to have a signal for it’s TV loudspeaker and optical. I conclude: Samsung does not support the connection path to Sonos by optical cable. Tried testing by new optical cable. No result. How do I get sound back in my great loudspeakers via the Sonos connect?

Hi,IssueMy sound is cutting out on the TV. I have a Playbar and two Play:1 surrounds. SetupThe Playbar is connected to the Sony TV via optical and is hard-wired via Ethernet to a router (via an unmanaged switch). I have experienced the sound issue on both an Amazon Fire TV and Sky Q I have sent diagnostics - 731055792.Any help would be appreciated
Woke up today to Sonos not workings… rest of network is fine. Attempted to reset (unplug..) and App can’t find them. Used “Fix It” and when it reaches the screen that asks “We found multiple Sonos Systems, Let’s confirm the one you want to update” and click “Continue” the app does nothing.. sits there. Deleted app, reinstall… tried on iPad and iPhone.. nothing. Anyone else? Suggestions?
My current set up is ISP modem (in bridge mode) to Google Wifi, to network switches. I have ethernet throughout the house so I have a number of devices wired to the network. This includes one Sonos Connect. The Connect seems to kill only the wired network. I’ve done plenty of rebooting, unplugging, replugging, etc. If I leave the Connect off the wired network, everything seems fine. If I plug it back in, anything with a wired connection eventually either loses network connection or fails over to WIFI. WIFI still works fine.I assume this is something to do with STP but I can’t change that setting in Googile or the switches. Is there anything else I can try?
I have a problem which happens every few days. The sound becomes ‘broken up’ and jerky - like using a microphone that’s not connected properly, so we get every other word, something like that. If I change to a different tv channel, it’s fine, then go back to the original channel, and that’s fine too. So it’s an easy fix but so annoying!!! The other day I came in the room with the tv on and the sound was just stuck on like an ‘echo’ - sort of ‘pay pay pah pah pah…..’ very rapidly. Like feedback I guess. I turned off/on and it was fine again.why so many issues with a premier product that is not cheap. My Arc is connected to my Samsung Neo QLED TV via a Smart Connect box using the e Arc port.
My toddler put a toy ball in the sub and I can and I can’t get it out. I can not find anyone to repair the sub and sono’s will only let me send it back with a payment of $550. The sub works fine but you can hear the ball rattling around at certain times. It’s just really annoying. Does anyone know how to take this apart or have a good way to get the ball out ?
Everything worked well till recently (eg yesterday), but as from this morning the Play:5 no longer seems to connect/work over wifi. No change was done on wifi network, wifi coverage is excellent and all other devices appear to have no problem with wifi (including other Sonos products). Resetting the Play:5, restaring the router, assigning a fixed IP address to the Play:5 or selecting another wifi network does not solve the issue. When network cable is unplugged:Play:5 no longer appears as available in the app ('System' page as well 'About My System') Play:5 no longer plays any music (eg radio) when I press the play button Play:5 appears in the Airplay list on my iPhone, but actual Airplay connection appears to fail App function 'Find Missing Products' is unable to retrieve App function 'Manage Networks' brings mixed results, only once out of several attempts I managed to get connected to wifi (router lists IP address) ... but the device did not end up in the 'System' page and after res
I’ve set up my Rega P2 to the pre-amp then into the connect then into the technics Amp in the mini system to power the speakers. Is this sequence correct ? I have really low volume out of all my other Play and Play 1 units. And have to have the volume on the app set to max to get decent volume out of the speakers without turning the amp to high volume levels and getting speaker hiss. Line in is set to ‘source level 10’, line out to ‘Variable’, Audio delay to ‘Low’
I have a Sub and two Fives. There is something off with the upper mid treble on the Fives. IMHO and it drives me nuts! The overall sound of the Fives is outstanding. Then an instrument, often a drum sound, will hit that particular frequency and sound very artificial. Anyone else experiencing this?
This issue has clearly been occurring for a while and there’s still no fix for it. When you have Wi-Fi turned on on your phone (iPhone 13) the “Podcasts & Shows” filter is not present in the search section of the Sonos app (which I just updated) As soon as you turn off the Wifi the feature appears in the search bar of the App ( where of course it’s then of no use bc the app is not connected to Wi-Fi this flaw has been long documented by other users and no fix has come thru… These speakers are VERY expensive and while they are good quality this REALLY feels like something that should have long been fixed by now…
I recently set up a Sonos system in my living room that consists of an Arc, a Sub (Gen 3), and two Sonos One’s. Yesterday I had to update the firmware of my router as it was having connectivity issues, and the speakers disconnected after the update. I updated the WiFi the system was connected to via the Sonos app, and all the speakers were able to successfully reconnect except for one of the Sonos One’s. I reset the Sonos one by holding the button on the back down until it flashed green, and the set it up through the Sonos one app. When it asked what room to add it to, I chose the “Living Room” which the other 3 products are a part of. However, for some reason it added to its own new Living Room, called “Living Room 2”. How do I get this Sonos One speaker added to the existing Living Room with the other 3 speakers?
My Playbar seems to have blown a speaker as I hear a muffled sound for the bass. It used to be much more crisp and powerful. I saw another post that asked to send in diagnostic info to determine what is wrong. What can be done about this and/or can the damaged part be replaced?
I would say the vast majority of average people want to disable Wi-Fi on their Sonos because they want their home hardwired and are not comfortable with Wi-Fi.In my case, I have a dog with a glioma brain tumor which even cancer.org says arises from radiation exposure. He spent most of his life with the Wi-Fi router near his bed - so I’m attempting to hardwire my home now that he’s back home from treatment.I was very upset to see, after paying an AV expert $300 to come in and fully hardwire all my Sonos components and set up a router switch, that you guys don’t actually turn off Wi-Fi even though it explicitly says I’ve done so in the app.Maybe it won’t “work” with Wi-Fi anymore, but it sure as heck hasn’t turned off the ARC sound bar wifi radiation “atomic bomb” which, others have reported many times, is emitting levels of radiation far beyond acceptable limitations for human health as per guidelines. If you don’t agree with me or believe me about this, please look it up.(Just to head
Bought the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable to Five package from Sonos and am experience a loud buzz/static when trying to play line in from the record player. The Sonos Five sounds fine when playing through Spotify. I’ve spent a bunch of time reading through related topics but nothing i’ve seen seems to help. Switch on Pro-Ject T1 SB is set to line out Source name is set to Turntable Source level is set to level 10 Played around with compressed/uncompressed audio I have tried the RCA cable with headphone jack adaptor that came with the system and a separate RCA to 3.5 aux cable Still same issue. I have audio but there is a loud static noise that makes its unlistenable. Has anyone else experienced anything like this and do you have any advice? I had a chat with a Spotify rep and he said i should call Sumiko (maker of pro-ject Turntable). Appreciate any help.
I own two (2) Ikea symfonisk bookshelf speakers and i just bought one (1) Ikea symfonisk lamp gen 2.I realised that the lamp lacks by far in terms of bass compared to the bookshelf speakers. Is that normal ? I raised the bass at +8 and there is only a little change there. Is that normal or my speaker has a bass problem ??
This is more of a nuisance than anything else so I did not formulate it as a question. Periodically, the Sonos app on the iPhone, iPad or PC will be unable to find the Sonos system or will only find some of the devices in it. It is sometimes the case that the iPhone for example finds everything, the iPad finds some devices and the PC finds still a different combination of devices. The system contains a Connect, two Play 1s and a Move. Sonosnet is not in use. Sonosnet did not work well in the environment and appears to suffer from interference from my 4 node Linksys Velop mesh Wi-Fi system. The mesh makes use of the overlapping 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channels thus stepping on Sonsnet when it tries to use 1, 6 or 11. The Connect is wired via Ethernet and its wireless radio is disabled. Both Play 1s are on Wi-Fi, as is the Move. From the layer 2 perspective, the MAC address table of every switch in the network contains the MAC addresses of every Sonos device and of all devices running the Sonos app
Greetings, I’m able to control the volume with hardware buttons on my Android device ONLY when I’m in the Sonos app or the Spotify app. I have no control over volume when outside the apps or from the lock screen. This Sonos support page (pic below) looks to be related, but the information might need updating. Within my own ‘App Preferences,’ there’s no option for ‘Hardware Volume Control.’ All the options that I do have inside ‘App Preferences” are currently switched ‘on.’ Any idea how I might fix this? M
I have a Sonos set up at home and wanted to add a Sonos 5 speaker to my office (actual office, not “work from home COVID office that is also at my house”).I brought in a Sonos 5 speaker and went through the normal set up process. The app detects the speaker, allows it to connect to my phone, allows it to connect to the wireless network at my office and says it has been added, but whenever I’m at the office, the “Account”, “System” and “Services and Voice” tabs are all greyed out. No matter how many times I restart the speaker, this is still the case. I was wondering if it was an issue to have 2 separate systems set up on different wireless networks, so I created a separate Sonos account with a different email address to have that account as my “standalone” office Sonos, but ran into the exact same issue. Any thoughts?
My CONNECT (Gen 1) had been working fine for many years. About a month ago I moved it to a different part of the house and connected it to a different receiver. It worked fine up until yesterday when the volume, though on maximum on both the receiver and the SONOS S1 app, was very very low. A little more than a whisper. All other inputs on the receiver are working fine. I even tried to connect my SONOS Connect to different inputs but still the same problem. I am at loss as I have had this unit for 6+ years without a hitch. Volume limit is OFF in the app. The problem happens whether the Line-Out level is Variable, FIxed or Pass-Through. Problem also exists though many services like Spotify, Apple Music, SONOS Radio Any suggestions?
Hi, I am have having problems with the next/previous media keys on my new Logitech K780 Keyboard. Initially, when I set up the keyboard everything worked fine. It controlled which ever media player I had open, including (& most importantly) the Sonos Desktop App. Then yesterday they stopped working with the Sonos desktop app. Specifically the next and pervious song keys stopped working. All other keys including play/pause works fine. I have tried an online **keyboard test** , tried using other media player and my K780 controls iTunes and Spotify fine. I have also tried using other wireless/bluetooth keyboards and they along with my built in laptop keyboard control the Sonos desktop app to move the song along or go back one fine. I have also tired doing a safe restart on my laptop and disconnect/reconnected the keyboard several time. I have also tried restoring default setting through the Logi Options App. None of these simple troubleshooting methods seem to have solved the problem.
I have purchased a house with a Sonos system supplied. 3 x Connect:amps ZP120. I successfully transferred 2 of them to my new account, found them on app and grouped them together and hey presto - music. When I added the indentical ZP120 it found it but will not register it. All are connected to ethernet cables. I sent a diagnostic 103616749. Not sure where to go next.
I’ve seen older topics on this issue, but they were closed and it’s still occurring. Seem to be a few people experiencing this too. When the Sonos alarm starts, often it plays the wrong station, and the display says both the correct station and wrong station. Sometimes it does play the correct station.I have mine set for BBC Radio 6, but sometimes it will play BBC radio 2 or radio 4.This is using the Sonos radio app.
