This issue has clearly been occurring for a while and there’s still no fix for it. When you have Wi-Fi turned on on your phone (iPhone 13) the “Podcasts & Shows” filter is not present in the search section of the Sonos app (which I just updated)  
As soon as you turn off the Wifi the feature appears in the search bar of the App ( where of course it’s then of no use bc the app is not connected to Wi-Fi 

this flaw has been long documented by other users and no fix has come thru… These speakers are VERY expensive and while they are good quality this REALLY feels like something that should have long been fixed by now… 

Which music services are you using in the Sonos app? Not all services that provide podcasts will have their podcast catalogs available in the Sonos app via browsing or searching. If you haven’t already done so, add TuneIn as a service and the “Podcasts & Shows” option should be available.

So as an update, of the services available, Pocket Cast and Stitcher are the only two that seemed to have all the podcasts I listen to available. With both, you have to install the apps on your phone and then authorize for Sonos. However, with Pocket Cast it seems you to subscribe to the podcast in the Pocket Cast app (and refresh) before it appears in Pocket Cast on Sonos, and the Pocket Cast podcasts are not appearing in the search results, just in the Pocket Cast section under play.

also tried adding Tune In and Audacy but their catalogs seem to be missing a lot of well known podcasts

 hopefully that helps some people who have been frustrated by the podcast thing
