Hi, a have a problem with my Sonos (bridge, Connect:amp, playbar and sub) I try to Connect to new system, but only bridge was able to Connect When I try with playbar it doesn’t work :( I reset a playbar and its flashing green light, Sonos s1 app finds a playbar (after that I push the buttons) but when I click configure its shows „not connected” and it says „Sonos product not found…” I also try with lan, but the same things happends Please help 

I know Sonos says they only support 6 speakers when using Architectural series speakers, however, has anyone had success with 6 8ohm speakers connected to a Sonos Amp?  If so kindly advise.  I’m looking to setup 6 outdoor rock speakers which are 8ohm and wondering if it might work.  I’m not looking to play them super loud and already limit the volume to 80% to prevent clipping on the current Connect: Amp that is powering 4 of them today.  Thanks in advance!

ScenarioSonos amp connected to router by wireRouter visible on phoneLine in is bluetooth receiver playing music from phone.Line in is set up and working  when i have internet on App i.e. playing over BTIntetnet goes bye bye (virgin are crap) . Line in drops out.Surely i dont need intetnet to do line in ?   

Hi, does anyone know if I can use the Sonos Amp Gen 1 to listed to my vinyl turntable (not sonos) to my new Sonos One speakers?Thank you

I would like to listen to TV audio through my Sonos Port and other 4 Sonos Amps.  I currently have a surround sound receiver playing TV audio and the receiver is connected to the Sonos port.  I was told by Best Buy that the only way to do this is use a sonos sound bar but that defeats the purpose of the receiver / surround sound system.  In a perfect world I would be able to watch a television channel (perhaps a football game) on Directv and hear the sound throughout all of the Sonos amps in my home.

Unique question this.I am thinking of purchasing a Spectrum Analyzer to bring some life to my home setup. I’d like to achieve the following:Connect my turntable (amp built in) to my Port, audio to be played through my various Sonos speakers Connect the output of my Port to a Spectrum Analyzer (the Spectrum Analyzer has RCA inputs) The Spectrum Analyzer to display the output signals from the turntable, and a different times the output of other Sonos audio services connected to my wider Sonos setup (i.e. Spotify)  Is this workable? Could the Port support such a thing? Basically outputting the sound from my turntable or other Sonos audio services to a Spectrum Analyzer all via the Port’s output cable?

Hi.  I recently got a Sonance 6.0 system to add to the other Sonos systems in the house.  I had no problem setting the Sonance up and it seems to be working fine on the wifi.  When I try and take the volume above about 60% it always cuts out.  Works fine up to that volume but always cuts out above that.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

Have 4 Sonos Amps stacked in a closed cabinet. The sound volume on one of the amps keep going back down each time I tried to increase it. Checked the amps and all were too hot to touch or handle. The amp that I was trying to increase the volume had a red  blinking light. Opened the doors of the cabinet and after a while the amps cooled down and the red light stopped blinking. Is this normal? If so why has Sonos not documented this to the consumer?

I recently had all my components moved to a closet downstairs to a large rack.  Part of this project was for the A/V company to connect my outdoor 4.1 speaker system to the units to be able to control with my Control4 remote.  They could not get the system to work and told me I had to replace.  I get it, it is 20 years old.  Their quote for a new system was too rich for me, so I purchased the 6.1 Garden Series from BB.  The A/V company told me there no way the Sonos Amp will be powerful enough to drive the sub and 6 sats.  Have others that have this system ended up driving the speakers with an amp other than the one that comes with the system?  They wanted to sell me an Episode EA-AMP-HYB-2D-2000 for $1,762 to drive the Sonance Patio Series 4.1 system.

Hello! I am considering using the Sonos Amp with my Bose Acoustimass 5 as rear surround speakers for my home theater. I have the Arc and Sub (gen 3). How would this setup be compared to just getting Sonos Ones or Era 100s? Especially since using the Bose will introduce another subwoofer (passive). 

I connected speakers back to my Amp after trying my old amp and although it’s working fine to play from the app, it won’t play from the line-in (connected to turntable via a pre-amp). I tried connecting a CD player to see if it’s the pre-amp and that didn’t work. There is a buzzing sound only.. Tried re-starting etc.. no luck. Any ideas? 

Hi everyone i currently one a play 5 and play 3 and will probably be buying a Sonos sound bar very shortly but my question is ….id like to buy a radio or small receiver (?) nothing fancy, which would work with my current sonos speakers . Any suggestions to point me in the right direction?thank you in advance best

Basically as the title says, I’m trying to play shared audio in two rooms (these are in ceiling wired speakers) from a home theater receiver. This setup works well when I play streaming music through the Sonos app. But if I want to use a service like YouTube TV, I’ve only found success by directly connecting to the TV and using its own apps (thereby bypassing my media player and my receiver).  Is this really the only way to do this? It feels like I’m  90% of the way there and a little silly that the app is limiting this so hard. 

Wondering if anyone knows whether there are any plans to release a version 2 port (as Sonos have done with other products) with updated hardware. Or indeed if there are different hardware revisions anyway just not visible from the product name. 

Hello, I have a zp 100. My question is if I can lower it to 3 ohms per channel and it doesn't affect much or at least it works?

I have been trying to connect a BeoSound 9000 CD Player to a Sonos Amp.  First I used a 5 Pin DIN to 2X RCA male cable to connect the BeoSound AUX to the Line In on the Sonos Amp.  Just got very faint sound even with the volume turned all the way up.  Checked on this Forum and realized the cable I had was probably wired for Line Out and the faint sound was cross talk between the pins on the DIN socket on the BeoSound.Next, I used a Kenable 5 Pin Male Din Plug to 4 x RCA Phono Male Plugs Audio Cable that I bought from Amazon.  I used the black RCA plug in the left Line In channel and the yellow RCA plug in the right Line In channel on the Amp.  I have tried the DIN plug in the AUX socket and the second Powerlink socket designed for connecting powered B&O speakers to the BeoSound.  No sound out of the AUX socket. with the DIN in the Powerlink socket, I get mono sound only out of some components of my Sonos system but not the speakers or sub connected to the Amp the BeoSound is connec

Now that .Net 7 has shipped and MAUI is becoming increasingly visible and viable, are there any long term plans at Sonos to leverage these technologies?It is now possible to create a single .Net Sonos platform library that handles all of the device management and UPnP stuff that can be then be reused across Windows, Android, iOS, macOS and now Tizen (Samsung TVs and so on), one could then support a Sonos app on all these platforms.What do Sonos think of these technologies and the viability of developing a Sonos software ecosystem based on .Net?I got a basic controller app built a few years ago that ran on Microsoft Phone and Surface (back when it was all about “Store Apps”) and created a pretty sophisticated C# class library for managing UPnP, so I know that this is certainly technically feasible, all that code was for .Net Framework too, with .Net Core and SDK projects today this kind of development is much easier. 

Hi Guys, I need some help to do the right set up for my house currently under construction.I d like to use in ceiling sonos for most of the rooms + home cinema (in ceiling only) and rock speakers for outside. all linked to AMPs . Starting with the underground, i have a room where i d have 4 in-ceiling speakers + 1 AMP- see belowAll the AMPs would be in racks in a separate roomThen on the main floor I d have 2 inside zones: 1 for the Kitchen/living room in purple (1AMP) + 1 zone for the home cinema. I have Sonos amps and speakers installed throughout the house.  In one room the Sonos Connect is installed so that I can listen to music through my higher-end stereo system.  The Connect is connected to a Pre/Pro controller via a coax cable.  When listening to music though this set up I have to greatly increase the volume on the pre/pro and also have to increase the volume on the Sonos app to get to normal listening levels.  How do I change settings within Sonos so that I don’t have to increase the volume so much?ALSO, and this is the crazy part,  when adjusting the volume I inadvertently turned off my 5 channel power amp but I could still hear the music coming out of my speakers.   How is that possible? If I change the input on the pre/pro to my laptop and use Windows Media Player to play a song and I turn off the power amp there’s no music.Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.

Hi, I have been using my Connect for a number of years but after changing my wi fi network I can no longer find it. I’ve done a sytem reset but still nothing. I have also tried wiring it to my router.

I’ve been using my SONOS 5 (gen 1) with my turntable for years without issue (3.5mm wire from turntable with built-in preamp directly plugged into the speaker). This past weekend I picked up an Airport Express so I can AirPlay to the speaker too. I have the AirPort and my turntable connected into a 3.5mm splitter and that splitter plugs into my Play 5.Now when I play my turntable, the volume is MUCH lower than it should be. To the point where I’m at 100% volume and it sounds like it’s at 50%, if that. If I disconnect the wire from the AirPort, the volume goes back to normal. I’m not sure what is going on here. I’ve looked at the app while doing this and the Level doesn’t change nor does the volume of the speaker itself.Has anyone run into this type of issue before? Right now the only way to “fix” it is to leave the airport disconnected from the speaker while playing my records.

Hi I’m looking to see what I need and any recommendations for equipment? I’m looking for Arc and Sub plus 2 x monitor audio ceiling speakers as well as ceiling subwoofer? What other equipment do I need? I also have wired internet connection to amp and anything else that needs it. Ty

I have sonos port connected with a turntable, can I also get a cd player connected to this setup?
