Pushing the envelope of SONOS Technology - and having trouble.The Setup: ERA 100 connected to Pro-ject T1 BT turntable via bluetooth and playing a recordERA 100 setup via WifiAdditional 8 room whole house system on Sonosnet and all connected to ERA 100 to listen to the turntableThe issue: When I use the ERA 100 as the source to drive my 8 speaker whole house system, after about 10 minutes of the entire 9 speaker system all outputting the turntable music perfectly, I start to get sonosnet dropouts.  The single ERA 100 never has a dropouts and continues to play the music via bluetooth from the turntable flawlessly for hours.  The 8 speakers in the Sonosnet system all start to dropout at roughly the same time and they come back up automatically after 5-10 seconds in random order.  It is as if the Sonos system drops the entire sonosnet system, then reconnects.  The perplexing part is I get perfec

I have a SONOS Port digital out connected to the DAC on McIntosh MA5300.  When the Port is set for “variable” line-out, I get a persistent static / crackling noise that seems to be more prevalent when streaming from Spotify.  When changing the output mode to pass-through, this disappears completely.Has anyone else experienced this?  Any tips on how to correct?   The MA5300 is not easily accessible so controlling via the Sonos app is preferred.

I have just bought the IKEA home Smart HUB and am using the Home Smart 2 App.When I try to connect/setup Sonos Play:1 Play:3 Play:5 and Symfonisk speakers, it opens the SONOS 1 app but nothing happens. I cannot setup the speakers in the IKEA App. I have talked to IKEA Support at they cannot help me.

We moved from WI to SC.  Sonos streaming stations still thinks we’re in WI.  How do I change it?

Hi all. I’m setting up my sonance garden series 8.1 and I’m not getting any signal when I plug in the sonance sr2-125 amp (which is also connected to my sonos port).  When I connect the system to my Sonos Amp from my house system it all works fine. Any ideas of why I’m not getting signal on the sonance Amp? Thanks 🤙🏼

I have multiple Sonos speakers that I own. I have several that I keep at one home and another group I have at my second home.   All are set up for Wi-Fi, and both homes have the same Wi-Fi name. when I go to apply updates when at a location, Sonos tries to locate speakers at my second home. And the drops them from the app when it can’t find them.  when I go to my second home, I always have trouble getting my Move and Roam to get discovers again.  mid there a way to define multiple Systems in the app and associate/assign speakers to that locations System?    

Looking for input on how to keep my speakers from dropping out/reconnecting several times whenever I select a new playlist on Spotify.In an attempt to forestall the inevitable FIX YOUR WIFI replies, I am using the TPLINK Deco mesh system and have strong coverage throughout the house. We have about 10 Play-1s and Sonos Ones, as well as a Move and a Roam. One Sonos One speaker is hardwired to the main Deco router, the rest of the speakers are wireless.As much as I love the sound of the speakers, after several years I had given up expecting the dropout problem to ever be fixed.That is until a couple of days ago when, just for fun, I deleted the wifi credentials from the Network section of the Sonos app. Miraculously, the dropouts disappeared, and the system now works without any interruptions in speaker connectivity. Hi I have 6 sonos items placed on one network in thé House. Unfortunately I can only manage the system from the living room. If I live to another room it is impossible to connect although I remain on the same network and that the quality is good. 

Looking for advise and/or solution to make SONOS speakers work with VoIP cloud telephony. Case is as follows: 4 SONOS speakers (ONE/Play) and cloud telephony in combination with SNOM PA1+, so it is possible to “call” the SNOM device and make an announcement. Most desired is, that during normal operation there is radio playing, when an announcement is made, there is a “ding-dong” and you can speak your frase into the telephone you have on site. How to make this work? Anyone have experience in this kind of configuration? So: Use VoIP cloud telephony in combination with announcement to SONOS speakers on site using SNOM PA1+ device. “this can do everything except making coffee” but SNOM can't help me out ;-) Advise; trail and error…. Not the way I would like to start this!

I am experiencing some issues changing streaming method.The issue appears on a system composed by Sonos One (LH) + Sonos One 2nd (RH) + Sub 2nd.Music service: Apple Music.Streaming with Sonos S2 app: no issue, good quality, good bassStreaming with Airplay2: volume is lower, bass are lower, sometimes LH or RH stop working when passing through next song (this happen mostly when streaming “lossless”, so I guess depends on internet connection)Streaming with Alexa: this is the bigger issue, playing starts with sub not working, so only stereo pair is playing but without bass. During playing, opening Sonos app, I see that removing sub (system → Sub audio → remove flag from “Sub”) the bass increase, because bass pass from Sub (not working) to Sonos One speakers. Somebody could help me solving Airplay and Alexa streaming issues?Thank you,Andrea

I had a standalone router with no internet connection running my three Play 5's and a Bridge.This was down to how poor our internet speeds were with Sonos connected to our ISP router.Initial set up was awkward, but I got it to work somehow.But now my Bridge died, and Sonos S1 app won't detect speakers at all, neither will Airplay through Music app. What can I do to get back to that set up, and is there a guide how to set up standalone routers purely for Sonos use?Do I just have to buy a Bridge (2nd hand I'm guessing)? 

I have a set top cable box, a Smart Tv, and a Sonos  Beam (Gen 2). There are no speakers attached to the Beam. The cable box and tv both support Dolby Digital Plus and both have pass through capabilities The cable box is connected to the tv via HDMI cable.I Watch streaming Netflix on my tv via wi-fiThe beam is connected to my tv via eARC HDMI My Questions at this point are;Where should Dolby DIgital + be decoded?  The Beam I would think.  What happens to the “signal” as it passes through the cable box and TV?   Doesn’t the codecs process the signal as it passes through these intermediate cable box and the TV?  How does the Beam know the cable box and tv exist?

hi, i have the sonos beam gen 2 and i would like to buy the sub mini and connect it to the soundbar, but i would also like to buy a sonos one with which i would listen to music, is it possible to share the sub with the two devices without having to unpair the sub mini every time? I don't care about the surround effect, I want 1 Sonos one, and used it with sub mini but also with beam 2, it is possible?

Ok so I changed the name of my wifi network and now my Beam won’tconnectI go through everything all up to the point where it asks for the wifi network password, then I get a message about there was a problem connecting.Things I’ve done:Deleted my app an reinstalled itForced my wifi to just send on the 2.4Ghz channelMade a seperate network just for the Sonos on 2.4GhzDone a hard reset on the beamThe same thing happensI get the PIN soundI push the connect button on the backI sets up my BeamAnd then it’s time for the password and just an error messageI’m at loss here 

Hi, I consider to connect a media player  “NewHank Playmate mediaspeler” to a Sonos stereo pair, this would allow me to connect CD player and a mic to that device. Would this setup work well?Thanks for your help. Kr Harald

I just moved to a new apartment and they use Xfinity internet service however the service is through the apartment complex through what Xfinity calls it “community wifi” and my boost will not connect to the internet here. Ive tried everything from app/system reset to purchasing a brand-new boost and it still won't connect. The Xfinity tech rep mentioned that they use IP 10 vs IP 192.168 which could be the reason why the device won't connect. Additionally, I tried wiring the boost through the ethernet in the wall, ethernet switch coming out of the modem, and finally the modem itself and no luck. At this point I have no clue as what it would be. Sonos tech said that it would be multitask issue from Xfinity or a firewall setting thoughts anyone?

HiAfter numerous attempts at Mesh Wi-Fi in my house I am finally giving in to hardwiring 5 access points in the hope that this will solve the remaining few issues I have with Sonos.I have been recommended these 2 units - Ruckus H320 and TP-Link EAP235.Ignoring price point, please can anyone share their experience of either or both in a Sonos / Wi-Fi context?The house is ~4,000 sq.ft. and has a significant ground floor extension perpendicular the the main house.Typically Sonos works fine right up until I deploy most of the downstairs speakers (13 of 17 speakers in the house) for gatherings and then multicast flooding kicks in and dropouts occur.The only other problem is with a stereo pair of Roams - the RH speaker refuses to switch on form an alarm though simply pressing the volume up button immediately brings it to life. Staring any other way always works for both speakers.Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reading.I have a Sonos set-up in my house for about the past 4 years with no major issues after I figured out the initial stuff (with help from here).  My IP provider had to switch out our router in December.  Same service but new router.  I believe my problems started there.I have about 20 speakers in my set-up.  Some would show as available and others would not.   I think I’d have it figured it out only for them to all crash again.  Overall, about 8 speakers would show as not connected and the rabbit hole of using the Sonos “bring speakers back online” approach did nothing.  Endless loop. This weekend I decided to completely remove all the assigned IP addresses, unplug every device again, reboot the router, and plug each device in one by one.  I also re-assigned the fixed IP addresses and confirmed no duplicates or any issues there.   I still had some stray speakers that would not connect so I re-set them back to default and added them back in. 

I have 5 Sonos devices, AMP, 2xPlay3, Playbar & Sub that all are on Sonosnet via a Boost. The boost is the only Sonos device connected to my wired managed switch (Juniper EX2200). All Sonos devices have static IP’s (reserved in DHCP).The switch has several VLANS but runs in L2 mode. These are the relevant ones for connectivity;192.168.1.x/24 - Wired Network192.168.4.x/24 - Wireless NetworkI have several other networks configured on my OPNsense firewall that connects to the switch. It acts as the router for the network and has a plugin to allow multicast called UDP broadcast relay. Hi,I’m looking to connect a record player (which has a built-in preamp) to my Sonos Beam and One SL’s. I heard that I could purchase a Sonos Port and connect the Port to my Beam via Wi-Fi to be able to play records over my sound system. Would this work?

I am running a Play 5 and OldConnect with S1, and a bunch of Ones, Play 1s, 3s and 5s Gen2, and Amp with S2.Time to time, I cannot connect to S2. It keeps me the option to connect to S1. After a couple of times restarting the App I can connect to S2. Some other times, I have disconnected the S1 device/s to able to connect. Also, after a router reboot, most of the  time I have to do disconnect the S1 devices to able to connect to S2. I have never had issues connecting to S1.  Also I have tried to connect using ethernet (PC), Wireless 2.4 and 5. Using Windows 10, 11, Samsung S20, and Iphone 13. Hello,I am trying to connect my retroprojector with the sonos amp with wifi or bluetooth, but the sonos amp don’t seams to see the retroprojector.My retroprojector and Amp are both on the wifi but I can’t see it on the sonos app when k try to add a new systeme.when i plug the retroprojecteur with the HDMI cable, it works well, but the thing is that I need a realy long cable to put the retroprojector at the good spot.  I though it was possible to connect every device to the sonos amp by wifi or Bluetooth, but it doesnt seams to be the case.Any ideas ? Thank you !
